Very true. I can't remember if I was a registered member at the time or not (I've "lurked" on this forum for 5 years so it feels longer to me) but I remember Brian and Mac getting a lot of flack for what has turned out to be prophesy o_O. I had felt at the time that they were over the top paranoid and blowing things out of proportion. Well, as it turns out.....how right they were :(

I don't want to 'spoil the party' so to speak, but I think I should point out that there are quite a lot of members of the forum who still believe that Brian and Mac are as totally wrong now as they always were.

I agree with you totally Fatima that we should always be respectful and careful when talking about the Vicar of Christ. No matter who he is. We must not fight the papacy. We must only fight error.

I agree with you again. Knee jerk reactions are not helpful either. Still, however things turned out, Brian and Mac were the canaries in the coal mine.

As to where the Church goes from here I have no idea. I don't even like to talk about schism. We must pray for all of these issues to be resolved according to God's will. The Church fracturing is always a sorrowful thing. :(

So I have a sincere question for anyone who still thinks Pope Francis is line with church teachings. Do you not believe the 6th commandment of adultery is a grave sin anymore? Or if so, how do you reconcile his support for them to receive the body and blood Jesus?

Our pope has been asked....ignoring the cardinals is only making matters worse. If the rules are to be made by each diocese, then do we cease being CATHOLIC? We are waiting for answers....we deserve answers.it is after all, our church.

I don't believe that there will be a formal schism during the reign of Pope Francis because those who have been pleading with him to stop leading the Church on the wide path are true Catholics who will suffer (Cardinal Burke springs to mind) all sorts of belittlement rather than split Christ's Church.

It could take generations before the formal split happens. We already have a split between those who believe what the Church has always taught and those who believe that the reigning Pope can invent a new Gospel. We have seen an example of that on this forum. This year, with this Pope, the new teaching is that adultery is not really such a big deal, and there's no such sin as sacrilege against the Blessed Eucharist. Given the way Pope Francis is packing the hierarchy with like minded clerics, and given the silence of so many Bishops in the face of his heretical stance on sexual morality and the Eucharist, it is very likely that the next Pope will be even worse than Pope Francis. If so, then he will be just as popular with the secularists, maintaining that no dogmas or doctrines have been changed while introducing all sorts of heresies into pastoral practice and further marginalising orthodox priests.

God alone knows how long it will take before we get a Pope who will call these heresies for what they are but that's when we will have a formal schism. Most likely the decentralisation favoured by Pope Francis will mean that many dioceses will go into schism and the Church will be completely fragmented. When the papacy has been reduced to nothing more than a quaint old ceremonial custom, Bishops leading their dioceses (or countries in the case of national Bishops' Conferences) will be no big deal. That's when we will have a remnant Church with a faithful Bishop of Rome leading the faithful back onto the narrow path.

I was thinking some more about this video. I am just speculating here but there are often so many levels to these sorts of things. The 2 doves that were released and were attacked were being released in hopes of peace in the Ukraine. Well the fire there is still smouldering years later. We also know that Fr. Martin said that the Chastisement will begin with some sort of happening between Russia and the Ukraine. He wasn't more specific than that because he said it involved "Papal Secrets". So for what it's worth maybe this was a sign on several different levels.

Did lightning strike St. Peter's twice - when Pope Benedict resigned and again when Pope Francis was elected? I only remember reading about one lightning strike but I can't remember whether it was when Benedict resigned or after Francis was elected.

It happened twice when pope BENEDICT resigned:

The Vatican has confirmed that St. Peter’s Basilica was struck by lightning TWICE after Pope Benedict XVI resigned on February 28th. What are the odds of that?

I agree .....this was symbolic of something big. That two doves released from the popes perch are attacked just like that? The photo went viral...just like the lightening strike.

It happened again on October 7th 2016.
Both this day and the day of Pope Benedict's resignation were Marian Feast Days.
If I remember correctly something of note happened around October 7th 2016 but I don't remember what.

Here is the kicker though. The number of days between the 2 dates of the lightning strikes is 1335 days. This is a biblical number found in the Old Testament. I think it means "a time of waiting" or something like that. Perhaps someone else here knows exactly and can fill us in.

It is found in the Book of Daniel which is a book concerning the End Times.

Michael's Deliverance and the End Times

    (Revelation 1:1-3)

1But at that time shall Michael rise up, the great prince, who standeth for the children of thy people: and a time shall come such as never was from the time that nations began even until that time. And at that time shall thy people be saved, every one that shall be found written in the book. 2And many of those that sleep in the dust of the earth, shall awake: some unto life everlasting, and others unto reproach, to see it always. 3But they that are learned shall shine as the brightness of the firmament: and they that instruct many to justice, as stars for all eternity. 4But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time appointed: many shall pass over, and knowledge shall be manifold.

5And I Daniel looked, and behold as it were two others stood: one on this side upon the bank of the river, and another on that side, on the other bank of the river. 6And I said to the man that was clothed In linen, that stood upon the waters of the river: How long shall it be to the end of these wonders? 7And I heard the man that was clothed in linen, that stood upon the waters of the river: when he had lifted up his right hand, and his left hand to heaven, and had sworn, by him that liveth for ever, that it should be unto a time, and times, and half a time. And when the scattering of the band of the holy people shall be accomplished, all these things shall be finished. 8And I heard, and understood not. And I said: O my lord, what shall be after these things? 9And he said: Go, Daniel, because the words are shut up, and sealed until the appointed time. 10Many shall be chosen, and made white, and shall be tried as fire: and the wicked shall deal wickedly, and none of the wicked shall understand, but the learned shall understand. 11And from the time when the continual sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination unto desolation shall be set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred ninety days, 12Blessed is he that waiteth and cometh unto a thousand three hundred thirty-five days. 13But go thou thy ways until the time appointed: and thou shalt rest, and stand in thy lot unto the end of the days.

This is kind of odd, but I just realized as we were posting the last few posts it was the anniversary of those lightning strikes. Exactly 4 years ago Pope Benedict announced his abdication on February 11th 2013 and the bolts hit a few hours later.

In the ordinary course of events Dolours I would say this would be a good analysis of a possible future trend. But Marian apparitions such as Akita and Fatima indicate that God is about it intervene directly to change things.

Fire from heaven. God is about to kick ass.

The primary cause being what they are doing and what they intend to do in the Vatican at the moment. God will not permit it.

    Satan will enter the Church.

    Cardinals will oppose cardinals.

    Bishops will be against bishops.

Those priests who revere me will be despised and attacked.

Churches and altars will be desecrated.

The Church will be filled with those who accept compromise.

satan will lead many priests and religious away from God,

He will concentrate especially on consecrated souls.

The loss of so many souls causes me great distress.

There will be no forgiveness if sins continue to increase.

We have entered Akita times! Unfortunately, it is coming to pass in front of our eyes for those who have eyes to see and ears to hear!

    How sobering.

Please God the warning will turn the world around or our children will be the ones envying the dead.

I must increase my prayers and sacrifices!

This is dangerous thinking and accusation against the Chair of Peter.

The Pope is preaching leniency. You sound like the Pharisees who only speak about the law, often times man's law or interpretation of God's will.

Jesus reached out to the outcasts of society in his day. Pope Francis is doing the same in the modern day.

Where in the Bible are there laws on who can receive communion? Would you deny it to those who need it most, and seek God in foregivesness and humility? The Bible says receiving the Lord in communion requires self reflection.

Pope Francis has every right to examine the the man-made rules of the Church.

    https://www.openbible.info/topics/holy_communion

"Whoever, therefore, eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty concerning the body and blood of the Lord. Let a person examine himself, then, and so eat of the bread and drink of the cup. For anyone who eats and drinks without discerning the body eats and drinks judgment on himself."

"Let a person examine himself, then, and so eat of the bread and drink of the cup.
