Cardinal Burke on Islam

The Cardinal hits the nail so well.

Burke was speaking by telephone from his home state of Wisconsin, where he was spending time this summer while doing interviews for a new book, “Hope for the World: To Unite All Things in Christ.” The book is an extended interview with a French journalist and it covers a range of often controversial topics.

'Speaking to RNS, Burke said that individual Muslims “are lovely people” and can speak “in a very peaceful manner about questions of religion.”

“But my point is this: When they become a majority in any country then they have the religious obligation to govern that country. If that’s what the citizens of a nation want, well, then, they should just allow this to go on. But if that’s not what they want, then they have to find a way to deal with it.”

He said that in some cities in France and Belgium with large Muslim populations “there are little Muslim states” that are effectively “no-go zones” for government authorities – an assertion that is widely disputed.

But Burke claimed “these things aren’t anomalies for Islam. This is the way things are to go. … And if you do understand that and you are not at peace with the idea of being forcibly under an Islamic government, then you have reason to be afraid.”

He cited historical examples of famous military clashes between Muslim forces and the forces of Christian nations of Europe, such the Battle of Lepanto in 1571 and the Battle of Vienna in 1683, both of which marked defeats for the Ottoman Empire.

“These historical events relate directly with the situation of today. There’s no question that Islam wants to govern the world,” Burke said.

When asked how the West should respond, the cardinal did not cite or endorse specific proposals, like those championed by the Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump and other conservatives, to ban or limit Muslims coming into the U.S.

“I think the appropriate response,” he said, “is to be firm about the Christian origin of our own nation, and certainly in Europe, and the Christian foundations of the government, and to fortify those.”

He said that form of government permits all people to exercise their religious faith – “as long as it’s not against good order” – and “practices that tolerance which follows from Christian charity.”

“I think we have to insist on that. We have to say no, our country is not free to become a Muslim state.”'

Its hard sometimes ot balance truth with charity. Not to want to be bigoted or unkind to others, whilst at the same time telling the truth. Cardinal Burke manages this very nicely, bless him.

Top Cardinal: Islam Wants to Conquer the World, and the West Is Letting It

This IS the truth of it...and yet, our Prime minister Trudeau is welcoming them all in. We will become like Europe very quickly with no-go zones and sharia law states. Why are all the feminists not screaming about this? I'm sure they do not want to see sharia law! There may be 'moderate' Muslims out there but I have always wondered why they are not doing more to turn in the radicals...

I don't think you need to worry too much just yet sparrow, I saw on the news that some of the refugees who fled over the Canadian border got frostbite and lost most of their fingers. I think that will dampen their passion for Canadian hospitality for a while.

The Canadian border is much more secure than the US/Mexican border. These people are being detained and have a huge process to go through if they are to stay. I think a balanced approach is necessary. Making an assumption they are all devout Muslims trying to infiltrate to eventually rule the country is naive. These are illegal border-crosser's not refugees or immigrants. Most should be helped and put on a bus back to the US. Unfortunately Trudeau, even as a supposed Catholic is bowing to the Soros influenced influx of refugees. Refugees created often by the West's foreign policies but also by Muslims themselves in those countries.

We are a lifetime away from Sharia Law in Canada. I am certain God's intervention will be long before that.

The amount of refugee's is increasing even though it is still winter and they expect to have a bit of a crises come the better weather due to the increasing amount. They are casually arrested and detained but NOT shipped back to the USA. They are fleeing Trump's immigration laws and Trudeau has welcomed them with open arms and I do not think most of them are radicals, but once enough are in the country, the end result is a caliphate.

Shortly after Pope Francis hailed Islam as a ‘religion of peace’. The following letter appeared in The Times, submitted by Dr. Denis Maceoin, former lecturer in Arabic and Islamic studies at Newcastle University.

….you quote the Labour M.P. Khalid Mahmood as saying: “The prophet always made the point to be at peace with people and he didn’t convert anyone by force. The statements made by Lord Pearson (an English peer who said that Islam is not a religion of peace) are absolutely incorrect.”

It is, in fact, Mr. Mahmood who is absolutely incorrect. The ‘Medinan (i.e. later) chapters of the Koran contain hatred for non-believers and contempt for Jews and Christians, together with numerous verses commanding jihad. Pagans are offered a choice between death and conversion. Mohammed personally ordered the execution of forty people, including many poets for the offence of insulting him. He permitted the beheading of 700 Jews and the enslavement of their women and children. He fought in battles, had adulterers stoned and made apostasy punishable by death. Jihad wars are a frequent feature of Islamic history all justified by Koranic verses and the example of the prophet.

We need facts in order to foster a serious debate about where moderate Muslims can go from here. Speaking about this is not ‘Islamophobia’ but to face clear hard facts.

When Pope Benedict criticised the violence fomented by Islam at Regensburg, the then Argentinian Cardinal was so offended that he refused a summons to Rome by Benedict (which Koran is Pope Francis reading?)

I am not sure why the Middle Eastern Muslim countries have been allowed to refuse the refugee Muslims. I believe we should take any/all of the Christian refugees as their religious beliefs are 'compatible' with the West, but the practicing Muslims should be taken in by the Muslim countries. I am not being racist (am I?) by thinking this is the best way to approach the situation? Those who worship Muhammad and his writings worship a faith that is not compatible with our free society here. (Yes, I know we are anything but free) I guess we have to let anyone of any faith in at this point, being the melting pot that we are, but it is so clear to those who have their eyes open, that the end result with the Muslims who practice the Koran, is sharia.

I truly believe if it was really shown on news channels the way they conduct themselves when it comes to torturing and executing Christians and their own muslim women we would be sure to send them running to the hills. What I cannot understand is what do the people in charge not get, they know if Muslims can get hold of nations that it will be obligatory and compulsive that we all convert or die in their medieval ways of killing. Is political correctness going to see us all slaughtered. We are all so afraid of saying what we know to be true because we are afraid of being labelled racist but to me it's not racism it's the truth and it's survival of families and our Church. I may come across as hysterical but if it's not stopped now if people don't speak up if the popular press don't report correctly we are going to be slaughtered. In 20 years if the influx into Europe continues as it is, Europe will be a muslim continent. I am fed up with political correctness it should be renamed politically unjust to correctness.

Martina, you are right. Look what has happened in Europe. There are no-go zones and sharia law states and it is spreading. If it hasn't worked there, it won't work here. I am not sure what the political elites are after here.. just votes? I wonder how Trudeau's wife feels about how women are treated in sharia law... Is this part of the elite plan?? What happens once it begins to visualize? Where do the elites think they're going to go?? I think they are blinded to the end result and Islam may just be the tool by which at least part of this world's chastisement will come from.

Sparrow, it's a question alright where will they all go. Just like the rebels of the time were being armed by America and Britain where did the rebels go........say hello to isis & al quada this is what became of the training and weaponry that was received.
Another thing I like the mass majority of muslims have never read the Koran, but from what I have heard it's a very violent book, the information I received could also be wrong I do not know. But what surprises me is as I said most muslims have never actually read it instead they take the word of other muslims who say they have read it and preach all sorts of hate and intolerance and of murderous rampages they must take on behalf of allah. The fact that someone can take someone's word that this is what there God wants and then goes out to commit these atrocities is definitely mentally disturbed and if that's what it is to be muslim then we have to pray harder than we've ever prayed we are not over run and our leaders sit up and take note.

When a lesbian politician paid a visit to a local mosque after a terrorist attack at a mosque in Quebec, some were surprised by what she was told to do.

Premier Kathleen Wynne of Ontario, Canada, visited a local mosque in Ontario after the terrorist attack at a Quebec mosque left six dead to pay her respects to the local Muslim community. Some were surprised, however, to see that the lesbian politician had to sit in the back corner of the room while the men prayed, according to Mad World News.

"There should be no fear ever in worshipping your God, our God, in Ontario or in Canada," Wynne told the worshippers at the Muslim Association of Canada's Masjid Mosque. "There is no place for the kind of violence that would make people fear of going to their place of worship."

She said of the Quebec terrorist attack that "we are shocked," adding, "Our hearts and prayers go out to the victims and families of this horrible act of violence."

Oh I have to be o
Oh I have to be charitable here :D She is NOT on my favorite persons list (n) She is the Premier of Ontario and has done so many scandalous things like bringing in a radical sex-ed program to our grade schools designed by a pedophile  and making deals that made our hydro costs go through the roof. She is a vote-whoring liberal and this was all for show by her and the Imam who previously explained how they REALLY feel about homosexuals...
    But :D :ROFLMAO:
