This is written by a known enemy of the Catholic Faith, but it's interesting nonetheless because of the picture of behind the scenes resistance that it paints, a balm for many who see the destruction being wrought by this Vatican regime.

Their sermons become a series of platitudes

They are giving us (almost) nothing to feed our souls.. for the most part, the Church is silent at the corruption of innocence.

    God Bless

They often do not convict us of ours sins. There can be no conversion without this conviction. They do not convict because, often, they themselves have not discovered this conviction

    John 16:8

"When he [the Holy Spirit] comes, he will convict the world, and show where right and wrong and judgment lie. He will convict them of wrong..."

But you know once we ourselves have been convicted of our sins and being , by the power of the Holy Spirit being all the time convicted of sin to my deepest core, how could it be that the filth having begun to fall from my own eyes the sin around me?

Having been begun to be disabused of my own sin to fail to see the darkness all around? The one goes with the other. How can I hope to assist those who run along the broad road to hell, if I do not recognise they run such a road to perdition having run it myself?

It is up to the Cardinals. Those who stand in the foot steps of the Apostles. I am at peace in this.

If not them then in God directly

Talk about getting stabbed in the back from Rome, well I have no part of my 'Conservative' ,back left they cannot stab,
its like a dart board with all the nasty comments from Rome and yes Pope Francis is highly, highly political and left wing.

I'm sorry but whateever happened to a Pope who excluded himself from politics?

His politics, which he puts forward as a kind of dogma is total horror to me, far left. I don't want to argue politics with a Pope but he places his politics front and centre. What am I , as a Conservative, supposed to do with this?

but anyway, that is what I get for being a Pharisee etc, etc, etc

    Still loyal though.
    Still praying.

The documents of VII are going to need to be updated and rewritten by the Church at some point so they more fully reflect and are in continuance with 2000 years of magisterial Church teaching. When they are read in this manner at present I don't have a problem with them. However, when folks interpret the ambiguities of VII as in opposition to prior established magisterial Church teaching, then we've got a real problem.

Fortunately it was a pastoral, non dogmatic council so it can wait till saner heads prevail.

As so many messages to Pedro Regis read, "Pray for the Pope", "you will have long years of suffering". I think this is our biggest call today to pray and suffer for the church and not loose hope. This is our cross, the cross of those who want to remain faithful to Christ's unchanging truths. As Benedict XVI said, "we know who wins in the end".

I would not blame Vatican II for the problems in the Church no more that I would blame scripture, which needs clarification and proper interpretation (as we can see in over 50,000 protestant denominations all pope unto themselves). VatII came at a period where the world was changing rapidly and the Church needed to address some of those changes. Unfortunately, while addressing many of the changes to meet the cultural changes the Church was hijacked by progressive cardinals, bishops, priests and nuns who, instead of interpreting the documents coming out of Vatican in the light of tradition and unchanging truths, many inside and out of the Vatican put their progressive spin on it all and the nuns threw off the habits and the priests their collars and in doing so they thought they were free do improvise at will. Pope Paul realized this when he said, "the smoke of Satan has entered the Church". Pope John Paul II did everything possible to reel the Church back to its unchanging truths in his many encyclical's and Catholic Catechism, but an overwhelming number of clergy wanted nothing of it. It is many of the same ones who rejected what St. John Paul taught who today are preaching fidelity to the pope. Yet all these popes since for the past 100 years refused to do as our Lady of Fatima said and consecrate Russia to her Immaculate Heart, so here we stand as Cardinal Wojtyla stated in 1976 while in the USA, “We are now standing in the face of the greatest historical confrontation humanity has gone through. I do not think that wide circles of the American society or wide circles of the Christian community realize this fully. We are NOW facing the final confrontation between the Church and the anti-Church, of the Gospel versus the anti-Gospel. This confrontation lies within the plans of Divine Providence.”

You are replying to Fatima's post, not mine. Many of us have grave reservations concerning this papacy. Some of us have said repeatedly that he is guilty of material heresy but only the Cardinals of the Church can make the determination that he has crossed over into formal heresy.
You do not have any idea what Padraig does or does not understand about this pope.

Unload your six shooter and leave it at the door. You don't have to take such an aggressive or confrontational approach to the majority of people posting here, as we have a better grasp of what we're up against than you think.

Bound..... you are very naive with you post to Padraig and myself. You make some rash judgements without apparently reading much of the 10,000 posts that Padraig has made or the 4000 that I have made on this forum if you think we do not see the signs of the times or "the facts". Are you the only one who sees?

I was shock a few months ago when Fr Amorth interview on Padre Pio and Fatima came out - he clearly states that Padre Pio told him there will be a great apostasy and it will come from the top. That was the very thing that caused Padre Pio the greatest sufferings, Amorth reports Padre Pio told him.

From the same interview we can infer that Padre Pio's disposition is paradoxically to hold judgement on the Pope himself, because it is not for us to judge him, we are in no position to declare he is A or B. Instead what Padre Pio did, despite actually knowing for sure what was to come, is not to judge the pope but to pray and mortify himself even more for the Church for the Love of God, and not loose peace by abandoning himself completely in the hands of Christ and Our Mother to do God's Will every moment of the day, because only Him will get us out of this tough trial, this challenge is beyond us.

    Well, Don,
Considering Vatican NOW, 50 years since Vatican II was Hi-Jacked by Lavender Marxists and their never ending homosexual sex/$$$ scandals .... ... I might be real careful about labeling Faithful Protestant Christians as "Fallen"! We have met the enemy and the enemy is US! US for not raising Hell as we watched, silent, from our pews or just, cowardly, voted with our feet. It's past time for the Laity to take back Our Church and purge the evil that occupies the "leadership" positions. We didn't do it so it appears The Lord will have to!

    GOD SAVE ALL HERE!!

What you say is true. However, it is one thing to have been given prophecy and quite another to live in its fulfillment as we are now. Prayer, penance and living out the faith is they answer, but it is a bit daunting to be living through it all. I especially feel at times its almost hopeless to wake any family and friends up at this moment and the one we are about to enter into. That is the hard part is seeing what others around do not.

On the other hand none of this is happening without God's permission. I think if people are leading a good Catholic life the Holy Spirit will show them the road to go down.

If however we have not been leading good lives, not being people of prayer then we will indeed go down to hell, led there by False Shepherds.

One thing particularly concerns me at the moment. If Our Lady as Queen of Prophets were to indicate we are being led down a very wrong path by our spiritual leaders then there can be no doubt those same Church Authorities would declare it a fraud and shut it down. So it could be said that these people have silenced the Mother of God. Very worrying.

As well as this we have of course clergy who are very saintly, but there is no doubt the whole weight of Rome falls on their heads. We risk them too being silenced. I mean if we had someone like Padre Pio now who spoke out he'd be crushed flat as a pancake.

But it is not only this that concerns me. It seems to me that the whole world is turning more and more evil ,very, very quickly indeed. There is a real darkness all around us, I can feel this.

But God is still in my heart. What can I say? As St Paul said what will separate us from the love of Christ? So it is not for myself I am concerned for, I will manage just fine. But the poor young people I especially worry for. What a terrible world they are growing up in.
