The church is very explicit about the following:
676 The Antichrist's deception already begins to take shape in the world every time the claim is made to realize within history that messianic hope which can only be realized beyond history through the eschatological judgement. the Church has rejected even modified forms of this falsification of the kingdom to come under the name of millenarianism,576 especially the "intrinsically perverse" political form of a secular messianism.577

    Yes Carol,
I believe it is very important that we stick with the Church's teachings and realise that any talk of an intervening period of peace where Jesus reigns and evil is gone, is in fact the heresy of millenarianism, which is denounced by the church, as wonderfully stated in the above videos. Thank you for posting them.

Did you read the writing at the OP? It complies with Catholic doctrine.

The FEMA camps are built and ready. We have been told how to prepare and to avoid the death camps.....God expects obedience. He did not build the ark for Noah, but gave him directions and blessed his work.

I am sure that there were Israelites who said, "I don't need to put lamb's blood on my door or lintels. God will save me."

from a writing by Fr. Joseph Dwight entitled: “Catholic Prophecy Today” dated April 21, 2009:

Parameters of the Catholic Church In Respect of the End of Time

"The Catholic Church says relatively little about future events leading up to Christ's Second Coming. Many of her teachings are rejections (either implicit or explicit), not affirmations, of particular beliefs such as the dispensational dichotomy between the Church and Israel, the Pre-Tribulational Rapture, and reigning of Jesus in the flesh upon the Earth for 1,000 years (Millenarianism). What she does teach is quite clear, as well as succinct: there will be a Second Coming, a time of trial which the Church must endure, an Antichrist, a conversion of Jews to Christ, a definitive judgment of all people, and the fulfillment of the Kingdom that has already begun in the Church. Within those parameters, Catholics may freely roam, search the Scriptures, and seek to better understand the Word of God. "

Are you saying that only the 50,000 ++ protestant denominations, all pope unto themselves, have read the scriptures which came from the Catholic Church? Very naive to say the lest. Surely you are not one of those that think the bible fell out of the sky in 1611? Maybe I am not reading your post as intended

I started reading but stopped when I reached this: "Holy Scripture describes a three and one half year period known as the Tribulation which will be dominated by a most charismatic, duplicitous and tyrannical man. Initially, he will appear as a man of peace. He will seize control of the European Union, then the United Nations and later, the world." Not much point reading the rest because nowhere in Holy Scripture is there any mention of the European Union or the United Nations.

"Holy Scripture describes a three and one half year period known as the Tribulation which will be dominated by a most charismatic, duplicitous and tyrannical man.

Your attention is directed to Daniel, Mt 24, Mk13 and the Revelation of John. Several of the Fathers of the Church wrote about this as well. You will recall that Tradition is as much a part of our Faith as is the Teachings of the Church and Holy Scripture. e.g. St. Irenaeus, St. Hippolytus, Tertullian, Lactantius, St. Cyril of Jerusalem, et al.

While the term "the Tribulation" does not appear as such, neither does the term, "the Holy Trinity". Having stated that, the prophets, the Apostles, and Jesus speak of the time of tribulation, which is commonly referred to as "The Tribulation". Refer to "1260 days" and "time, times and a half time".

Initially, he will appear as a man of peace. He will seize control of the European Union, then the United Nations and later, the world."

You will find this in Holy Scripture here:

“Surely the Lord GOD does nothing, without revealing his secret to his servants the prophets.” (Am 3:7)

"Then afterward I will pour out my spirit upon all mankind. Your sons and daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions; Even upon the servants and the handmaids, in those days, I will pour out my spirit." (Jl 3:1-2)

"Extinguish not the spirit. Despise not prophecies. But prove all things; hold fast that which is good." (1 Thes 5:19-21) (NB: This is not a recommendation…….. but a directive!).

(And elsewhere in Daniel and Revelation and the Church Fathers, but not specifically in those words.)

This section of this Forum is entitled: “Marian Apparitions”. Consider the following (paraphrased):

At LaSalette, Our Lady spoke of a forthcoming time when “It will rain with a fearful hail of animals…Voices will be heard in the air.” Further she said that “Rome would lose the Faith and become the seat of the Antichrist.”

At Fatima she called for “Russia to be consecrated to her Immaculate Heart (in a specific way) to prevent Russia from spreading her errors.” She spoke of whole nations being annihilated.

At Akita, she spoke of a forthcoming time when “bishop would be opposed to bishop and cardinal against cardinal.”

Where did these appear in Holy Scripture, per se? Answer: In the citations that I cited above.

The statements that you question are discussed at length in the body of the writing at the link in the OP.

Bishop Mathew H. Clark of the Diocese (assuming it to be Leary's diocese) ruled against Leary's messages in the year 2000, due to the error of millenarianism and the errors concerning popes. I think it is mentioned in Leary's writings that the popes after John Paul II were popes we should not listen to ....that is the error condemned by the Bishop, also.
If you have questions, there are lengthy explanations online about the condemnation of the errors contained in Leary's writings.
Too lengthy to link to here.
Basically, Bishop Clark found that Leary's writings were human in origin rather than Divine.
We can lose our souls by following false prophets and by reading and ingesting material which has been condemned.

In Defense of the Messages of John Leary

    =====================================================================

Press Release From the Diocese of Rochester
    Statement on John Leary’s visions
    July 7, 1999

In the past few years, John Leary Jr., of Greece, has published more than 15 books on private revelations he claims to have received from Jesus, Mary and various saints. In a letter dated June 25, Bishop Matthew H. Clark notified Mr. Leary that he judges these “locutions” human in origin, not divine, based on the unanimous judgment of a Commission appointed by the Bishop to review his works.

Under current Church law, Mr. Leary was not required to seek Bishop Clark’s permission to publish. However, Bishop Clark, exercising his ordinary pastoral responsibility, initiated a review of these volumes more than a year ago. The Commission of clergy and laity with expertise in spiritual theology and psychology, was established to study Mr. Leary’s writings and offer an informed judgment about their source. They found him “psychologically sound and spiritually serious” but felt he misjudged ordinary mental prayer to be supernatural communication.

Recognizing Mr. Leary’s strong faith as a Roman Catholic, Bishop Clark did not forbid him to write or teach. However, he did insist that a corrective preface be inserted in each newly printed or reprinted volume. This preface advises readers against various doctrinal errors in the works, such as his teaching about an upcoming thousand-year reign of Christ on the earth or that the next pope elected should not be obeyed. In addition, the Bishop asked Mr. Leary to seek theological advisement before printing any future books.

    - End -

    ===================================================================

    My Commentary follows:

    1. Status

The Roman Catholic Church classifies private revelation within three (3) categories, which are listed below. These are not matters of dogmatic definition, as no private revelation is ever part of dogma. These are categories established over time by the curial commissions established to review such matters. Typically, the local Ordinary convenes a commission of theologians to make an exhaustive study of alleged apparitions/locutions in question, and makes a determination by classifying the mystical occurrences within one of the following three categories:

    Constat de supernaturalitate
-- It is certain that the events are of supernatural origin.

Non-constat de supernaturalitate -- It is not certain that the events are of supernatural origin, or the supernatural origin has not been established. In this classification, the events in question are still open to eventual recognition as being authentic.

Constat de non supernaturalitate -- It is certain that the events are not of supernatural origin.

As of this writing, the messages of John Leary remain in the 2nd category above i.e. in the neutral category, non-constat de supernaturalitate. Indeed the Bishop of Rochester has directed John Leary to post a corrective preface in his books, but this is NOT a declaration of “Constat de non supernaturalitate or a ‘condemnation’. Essentially, the points specified in the Bishop’s press release address:

    (a) his teaching about an upcoming thousand-year reign of Christ on the earth, and
    (b) the next pope elected [ i.e. the successor to Pope John Paul II] should not be obeyed.

    2. The Era of Peace

First, there exists a bit of confusion with respect to the millennium (or Era of Peace), which is sound doctrine; and millenarianism, which has been condemned by the Church. For a detailed comparison of the two by Fr. Albert G. Roux read the following:

    http://www.call2holiness.org/EraofPeace/EraofPeace.htm

The writing at the link above includes certain supportive citations from Holy Scripture, and the teachings of the Fathers of the Church on the era of peace.

Note the words of Fr. Roux contained therein:

"It is important to note that the Magisterium has not yet made a definitive pronouncement about the "millennium" or "temporal kingdom.".

Especially significant are the words of Cardinal Ratzinger, Prefect of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, in this regard. Theologian Martino Penasa, presented him with this question of Christ's spiritual millenary reign (not millenarianism), and the Cardinal reassured him that the matter is still open to discussion and that "the Holy See has not yet made any definite pronouncement in this regard."

Secondarily, Fr. Stefano Gobbi received messages from Our Lady from 1973 - 1997 (25 years). Such messages teach extensively on the forthcoming Era of Peace. Fr. Gobbi's messages carry IMPRIMATURS from 3 Cardinals, several Archbishops, and several Bishops of the Roman Catholic Church. The three Cardinals in question are: the late Cardinal Echeverria of Ecuador, Cardinal Vidal of the Philippines and Cardinal Mikai of Thailand.

While the Imprimatur is not a declaration of authenticity of the messages being received from Our Lady, it does assure the reader that the messages are FREE FROM DOCTRINAL ERROR - i.e. they do not contain anything, which is contrary to the Catholic faith or morals.

The website of the Marian Movement of Priests which he founded pursuant to the directions of Our Lady can be found at the following website. Members of the MMP include thousands of priests, and many cardinals, archbishops and bishops:

    www.mmp-usa.net/

Note: You will find digital images of the Papal blessing upon the Marian Movement of Priests by Pope John Paul II and additional IMPRIMATURS here:

    www.mmp-usa.net/papal_blessing.html

Thirdly, the Catholic theologian, Fr. Joseph Ianuzzi, has written a book about it entitled: "The Triumph of God's Kingdom in the Millennium and End Times". As you can see, it carries the reference to the millennium in its title. The book teaches extensively of the forthcoming Era of Peace and carries the IMPRIMATUR.

You can find such book here:

    www.amazon.com/Triumph-Gods-Kingdom-Millennium-Times/dp/0967010209

As we can see, the Millennium or Era of Peace, is found in Holy Scripture; certain of the teachings of the Fathers, many Imprimaturs have been granted to one set of writings on the topic from 3 cardinals and several archbishops and bishops; and an Imprimatur has been granted in respect of another writing on the topic written by a Catholic theologian. In Mr. Leary’s case his bishop has directed him to include a corrective preface to his books on the matter. Clearly, there appears to be some confusion in the matter as both sides can not be correct on the matter. Such confusion will be resolved by God in time.

    3. The Successor to Pope John Paul II Being an Antipope.

Contrary to what many seem to believe, the purpose of prophecy is not to predict the future. Its purpose in a biblical sense is to demonstrate the will of God for the present, and therefore indicate the correct path for the future. That is to say, that God advises us of what will come unless mankind responds in a specific manner. (cf. Jer 18:1-11)

It is worthy of emphasis that such a prophecy does not have to indicate that it is ‘conditional’ in order to be so. Consider the following as an example, and ask yourself whether Isaiah was a false prophet:

“In those days Hezeki'ah became sick and was at the point of death. And Isaiah the prophet the son of Amoz came to him, and said to him, "Thus says the LORD, 'Set your house in order; for you shall die, you shall not recover.'" Then Hezeki'ah turned his face to the wall, and prayed to the LORD, saying, "Remember now, O LORD, I beseech thee, how I have walked before thee in faithfulness and with a whole heart, and have done what is good in thy sight." And Hezeki'ah wept bitterly. And before Isaiah had gone out of the middle court, the word of the LORD came to him: "Turn back, and say to Hezeki'ah the prince of my people, Thus says the LORD, the God of David your father: I have heard your prayer, I have seen your tears; behold, I will heal you; on the third day you shall go up to the house of the LORD. And I will add fifteen years to your life. I will deliver you and this city out of the hand of the king of Assyria, and I will defend this city for my own sake and for my servant David's sake." (Cf. 2 Ki 20:1-6)

Consider further the following excerpt of a message from Our Lady to Fr. Gobbi. Our Lady’s message #282 to Father Gobbi is among the more powerful and poignant messages that we have ever received. Actually, it contains several messages within one. In it she emphasized the need for continued prayer. She said :

"…This is what I want to tell you. Don’t be delayed, therefore, by the predictions I give you in the effort to make you comprehend the times in which you are living.

Like a mother, I am telling you the dangers through which you are going, the imminent threats, the extent of the evils that could happen to you, only because these evils can yet be avoided by you, the dangers can be evaded, the plan of God’s justice always can be changed by the force of his merciful love. Also, when I predict chastisements to you, remember that everything, at any moment, may be changed by the force of your prayer and your reparative penance.

Do not say therefore: "How much of what you predicted to us has not come true!" Instead, give thanks with me to the Heavenly Father because at the response of your prayer and consecration, your suffering, and on account of the immense suffering of so many of my poor children, again He alters the period of justice, to permit that of the great mercy to come to flower…".

As we can see, the purpose of prophecy is not to foretell the future, and prophesized events can change based upon man's response. That is to say, that we do not know whether Leary's prophecy about the successor to Pope John Paul II has changed or not (just as Isaiah's changed). Finally, one could argue that since Pope Benedict XVI's has yet to pass away, the prophecy could still be fulfilled.

I might add that Mr. Leary is not the only contemporary prophet that has received such messages. One example can be found here:

2 Thessalonians and Pope John Paul II

    http://groups.yahoo.com/group/era-of-peace/message/308

(n.b. the messages of Louise Tomkiel remain in the neutral category, as well).

    4. But the Bishop Said His Visions and Messages Were Not of Human Origin.

It is important to remember that the Church moves very slowly and cautiously.

I can not say with certainty why the bishop chose those words, but it is not a declaration of Constat de non supernaturalitate. Had the bishop intended to make such a declaration of disapproval or ‘condemnation’, he would have:
    (a) made such a declaration, openly and clearly;
    (b) prohibited Mr. Leary from writing; and
    (c) prohibited Mr. Leary from teaching.

Clear evidence of this is provided in the words contained in the above official press release of the diocese of Rochester:

“...Recognizing Mr. Leary’s strong faith as a Roman Catholic, Bishop Clark did not forbid him to write or teach...”

There is no question that the bishop has the authority to prohibit Mr. Leary for writing or teaching within his diocese, or risk excommunication.
To illustrate this point further, consider the case of Fr. Stefano Gobbi discussed above. Fr. Gobbi received very detailed and revealing locutions for 25 years.

There is the question of correspondence sent to Fr. Gobbi from a secretary from the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith (CDF) who, in his personal and unofficial letter to Fr. Gobbi requested and advised that Fr. Gobbi should not claim in the book's introduction that the messages are from the Blessed Mother, but rather that they are the product of his own personal meditation. This letter in no way constituted an official decree. Nevertheless, in a spirit of submission and obedience and armed with the knowledge that Our Lady would take care of her Movement, Fr. Gobbi accepted to do what the Secretary requested. Going against his conscience no doubt caused him an intense interior suffering, but he did not want to risk being accused of being disobedient to the Church. Was Our Lady testing the obedience of her beloved son" Was she asking this of him as a means of purification? (Padre Pio and Sr. Faustina knew that what they were experiencing was authentic, but they too were obedient to the Church's request.).

While the letter received from the CDF was printed on the personal stationery of the Secretary under then Cardinal Ratzinger and not an official request, it did allege that the locutions were “the product of his own personal meditation”. This is similar to the words in the above press release from the diocese of Rochester in respect of Mr. Leary which states: “Bishop Matthew H. Clark notified Mr. Leary that he judges these “locutions” human in origin, not divine”.

The following are worthy of emphasis with respect to this matter:
    (a) The statement from a certain official of the CDF to Fr. Gobbi was not an official declaration of the Church and certainly not a declaration of Constat de non supernaturalitate i.e. he did not make a declaration of ‘condemnation’. While the Bishop of Rochester did notify Mr. Leary that he found his locutions and visions of human origin, he too did not make a declaration of Constat de non supernaturalitate i.e. he did not make a declaration of ‘condemnation’.
    (b) In the personal and unofficial correspondence from a certain official of the CDF, Fr. Gobbi was asked to insert a disclaimer in his book that his locutions were the product of his own personal meditations. Based upon the press release above, Mr. Leary was directed to include a disclaimer in his book, but no direction or requirement was given to include in such disclaimer that Mr. Leary’s locutions were of human origin.
    (c) I am a lay member of the Marian Movement of Priests and receive periodic information from the organization and from Fr. Gobbi. Below you will find two of the Marian Movement of Priests websites (the USA site and the site of the worldwide headquarters). In spite of the ‘personal’ and ‘unofficial’ request of a certain official of the CDF to include the above mentioned disclaimer in Fr. Gobbi’s books, to the best of my knowledge and belief, not one of the many IMPRIMATURS granted to Fr. Gobbi’s book of messages have been withdrawn or modified. I count IMPRIMATURS from 6 cardinals, and others from many archbishops and bishops around the world. Indeed, if a statement that such locutions were the product of his personal meditations constituted a ‘condemnation’ Fr. Gobbi’s IMPRIMATURS would have been withdrawn.

    (d) Further, Our Lady spoke to Fr. Gobbi about the Beast Like a Lamb. She identified it as ecclesiastical masonry. That is, Freemasonry that has infiltrated the Church. Satan is a snake, he never sleeps. See:

    (c) One of the many tests that the Church subjects visionaries to is the test of obedience. It is unknown by the general public as to what extent these actions constitute tests of obedience, if any.

    (d) Also, it is worthy of note that a certain Secretary of the CDF had Sr. Lucia censored in her latter years. That is, she was prohibited from speaking to the public without his approval, and her statements made during such time were transmitted through him. Certain of her statements made under such an arrangement contradicted that which she had made previously. I can not confirm that this Secretary that censored Sr. Lucia was the same Secretary that made the strange unofficial request of Fr. Gobbi on personal stationery. Nor do I know if there were multiple Secretary’s of the CDF under Cardinal Ratzinger at such time. Suffice it to say, something is strange here. For additional information on the censoring of Sr. Lucia and the Secret of Fatima, see

    The Devil’s Final Battle
    www.devilsfinalbattle.com/content2.htm

    (e) Lastly, Fr. Nicholas Gruner has been threatened with suspension for his continued questioning of the secret of Fatima that was released by Cardinal Ratzinger and Cardinal Sodano in 2000 together with the first ever official interpretation by the Church of a message of private revelation; and his continued request that Russia be consecrated to the Immaculate Heart of Mary by the Pope in unison with the bishops around the world (which has yet to be done, as Our Lady of Fatima requested). You will find the details of this story here:

    www.fatima.org/

Fr. Nicholas Gruner was threatened for suspension for this, while other priests have been preaching heresy --- some even joining pagans in worshiping at the Shrine of Our Lady of Fatima. The actions of these priests result in comparably mild admonishments, or are ignored completely. Consider the mild action of the CDF with respect to Fr. Dupois who writes and preaches the heresy of religious pluralism. He preaches heresy openly, and is not threatened with suspension? My point is: Something is strange here.

Pope John Paul II knew what was on the horizon:
"We are now standing in the face of the greatest historical confrontation humanity has gone through. I do not think that the wide circles of the American society, or the wide circles of the Christian community, realize this fully. We are now facing the final confrontation between the Church and the anti-Church, of the Gospel versus the anti-Gospel." (Notable & Quotable, Karol Cardinal Wojtyla (who became Pope John Paul II), Wall Street Journal, Nov. 9, 1978.)

Pay particular attention to the opening paragraph of his Ad Tuendam Fidem, and who it is directed towards:
TO PROTECT THE FAITH of the Catholic Church against errors arising from certain members of the Christian faithful, especially from among those dedicated to the various disciplines of sacred theology, we, whose principal duty is to confirm the brethren in the faith (Lk 22:32), consider it absolutely necessary to add to the existing texts of the Code of Canon Law and the Code of Canons of the Eastern Churches, new norms which expressly impose the obligation of upholding truths proposed in a definitive way by the Magisterium of the Church, and which also establish related canonical sanctions.
    www.call2holiness.org/protectthefaith.html

To the best of my knowledge and belief, Mr. Leary has obeyed the directives of his bishop. We shall see what the future holds in regards to these matters.

None of it. You linked to an article saying that it says in the Bible that the Antichrist will lead the EU and then the UN. I told you that I stopped reading at that stage because there is no mention of either the EU or the UN in the Bible. In response to that you made the silly reference to there being no mention of the Trinity in the Bible. Your inference was that since the Magisterium, guided by the Holy Spirit and protected from error by the promise of Jesus, has discerned and taught that God is three persons in one despite the word Trinity not appearing in the Bible, anyone reading the Bible has equal authority to determine that it clearly references the EU and UN despite neither organisation being named in any biblical passage.

I won't be engaging in any further discussions with you no matter how many times you twist yourself inside out telling us that you aren't really embracing the notion that the Bible can mean anything the reader wants it to mean provided the reader is you or someone you agree with.

For all we know, the Antichrist could come from the Organisation of African States or some institution that won't exist until long after the EU and UN are nothing but a page in history.

Jesus founded a Church. When that Church tells me that the Antichrist is the leader of the EU, UN, the Boy Scouts or the local rowing club, I will pay attention. Until then, no matter how many people you quote to support your claim, it's only guesswork and not very convincing guesswork at that.

Good day to you, and may God bless you.
