  1. Franklin Graham: Senate Vote on Abortion Keeps U.S. ‘Among the Worst 7 Countries in the World’

In a scathing rebuke to U.S. senators, many of whom profess to be Christian, Evangelical pastor Franklin Graham has condemned the shameful failure to pass the Pain-Capable Unborn Children Protection Act, calling it a vote “against human rights, the right to be born.”
In a series of posts on social media, Rev. Graham—the son of the eminent Billy Graham—underscored the advances of medical science that assure the ability of developed unborn infants to feel pain, as well as noting that the Senate decision places the United States in a notoriously small group of nations that allow abortions beyond 20 weeks, in the company of ruthless atheist dictatorships like China and North Korea.

“This week the Senate was 9 votes short of saving a lot of lives. But the vote finished at 51 for – 46 against the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act that would have banned abortions after 20 weeks in the U.S.,” Graham wrote.

“After the vote, President Donald J. Trump even said, ‘Scientific studies have demonstrated that babies in the womb feel pain at twenty weeks … We must defend those who cannot defend themselves,’” Graham noted.

“I cannot imagine the regret these 46 politicians will one day have when they stand before God, the Creator, and realize the opportunity they had to do good, to do right, but they voted NO to protecting lives,” he said. “They voted against human rights, the right to be born in the first place.”

“We remain among the worst 7 countries in the world with these 20-week abortions,” he concluded. “Pray for our lawmakers; and pray for our nation to turn to God.”

As Breitbart News reported earlier this week, New York Cardinal Timothy M. Dolan also denounced the Senate’s failure to pass the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act, calling the vote a rejection of “common sense.”

“The U.S. Senate’s failure to adopt the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act, prohibiting abortions at 20 weeks post-fertilization, is appalling,” Dolan said in a statement on Monday. “Abortions performed in the second half of pregnancy usually involve brutally dismembering a defenseless unborn child, while also posing serious dangers to his or her mother.”

Among the nay votes were a remarkable number of Catholics, including former Vice-Presidential candidate Tim Kaine, Susan Collins, Dick Durbin, and Lisa Murkowski.

There were actually 14 "Catholic" Senators who voted against the babies. See here: http://wdtprs.com/blog/2018/01/14-catholic-senators-support-abortion-past-20-weeks/#comment-574130

  5. Couldn't believe it when I saw this headline out there today!! Of course NASA plays their usual "nothing to see here. Move on" role. Their emphasis seems to be on this being "natural". Hmmm.

Earth’s magnetic poles could be about to FLIP sparking chaos and mass blackouts

Parts of the planet could be rendered uninhabitable by the reversal, experts have warned
THE Earth's magnetic poles could be about to flip, sparking chaos and making large parts of the planet uninhabitable, it has emerged.

Experts have warned that the change is extremely likely with the magnetic field weakening by 15 per cent over 200 years.

According to an Undark report, the flip could cause "devastating streams of particles from the sun, galactic cosmic rays, and enhanced ultraviolet B rays from a radiation".

The report warned that satellite timing systems that govern electric grids could fail, causing a ripple effect that would shut off lights, computers and phones. Even flushing the toilet could become impossible, according to the article.

The article shared concerns from Daniel Baker, director of the Laboratory for Atmospheric and Space Physics at the University of Colorado, Boulder, who warned "that parts of the planet will become uninhabitable during a reversal".

But a global apocalypse isn't guaranteed, as NASA explains: "Many doomsday theorists have tried to take this natural geological occurrence and suggest it could lead to Earth's destruction."

"But would there be any dramatic effects? The answer, from the geologic and fossil records we have from hundreds of past magnetic polarity reversals, seems to be 'no'."

I don't question "who is God", as he has clearly revealed himself and his love for his children. The only question seems to be how long will he allow his children to be persecuted. How long will he allow his truths to be trampled on (even among his own priest sons)? God is in charge and he is allowing man to reap what he has sown, but what few seem to realize is he is fortifying his faithful, preparing them for the events he has provided to unfold. For those who have ears to hear, he has sent his mother to prepare his remnant for the Era of Peace, but first the purification and eradication of all evil must take place. The worst is yet to come for the world and the false church, but the best is yet to come for those who uphold his unchanging truths and practice his virtues in his true church.

  11. Forgive me if this offering re: the special moons has already been mentioned before here or elsewhere (I know that Carol55 has brought in the John Bosco dream w/ the moons to the discussion....didn't remember if this one in particular was cited). The emphasis seems to be this particular time surrounding this special moon experience having at the same time the introduction of the big exposures occurring....shining a big light into the darkness. Of course the light that shines on the darkness being the moon, gets its light from the sun (my added "insight"!!) :

The first amendment in America protects free speech.

Except for some very narrow exceptions which are criminal ----

They include obscenity, defamation, fraud, incitement, true threats and speech integral to already criminal conduct.

U.S. Episcopal diocese votes to stop using masculine pronouns for God

WASHINGTON, D.C., February 1, 2018 (LifeSiteNews) – The Episcopal church in the Diocese of Washington, D.C., passed a resolution last week to stop using masculine pronouns for God in future updates to its Book of Common Prayer.

The resolution to stop using "gendered language for God" was passed quickly by delegates to the Diocese's 123rd Convention.

“If revision of the Book of Common Prayer is authorized, to utilize expansive language for God from the rich sources of feminine, masculine, and non-binary imagery for God found in Scripture and tradition and, when possible, to avoid the use of gendered pronouns for God,” the resolution stated.

“Over the centuries our language and our understanding of God has continued to change and adapt,” the drafters of the resolution stated. The drafters said that referring to God using masculine pronouns is to "limit our understanding of God."

"By expanding our language for God, we will expand our image of God and the nature of God," they stated.

But Clergy delegate The Rev. Linda R. Calkins from St. Bartholomew’s Episcopal Church in Laytonsville, Maryland, challenged the delegates to go further.

Calkins read from Genesis Chapter 17, in which God tells Abraham “I am El Shaddai.” She said that if Episcopalians "are going to be true to what El Shaddai means, it means God with breasts.”

“Having studied much feminist theology in my masters’ degrees, I wrote a thesis on liberation and freedom and non-equality in feminist theology and existential counseling,” Calkins told the delegates, as reported by The Institute On Religion & Democracy.

“And I am still waiting for the Episcopal Church to come to the place where all people feel that they can speak God’s name. Many, many women that I have spoken with over my past almost 20 years in ordained ministry have felt that they could not be a part of any church because of the male image of God that is systemic and that is sustained throughout our liturgies. Many of us are waiting and need to hear God in our language, in our words and in our pronouns,” she added.

Christians, following the teachings of Jesus Christ, have prayed to God as "Our Father" from the very beginning. Theologians explain that the masculine word “Father” indicates a relationship.

“Jesus did not call God ‘Imma’ (Mother), but always and exclusively ‘Abba’ (Father),” Dr. Paul Tarazi of St. Vladimir Orthodox Theological Seminary explained. Indeed, “Father” is the only way Jesus ever referred to God, and the only way He taught His followers to do so.

The Church Fathers attest to this. St. Gregory the Theologian explained the name “Father” is proper to God, not a figurative concession to humanity. St. Athanasius the Great stated that only the specific names “Father,” “Son,” and “Holy Spirit” belong “to God’s own essence and being.” St. Gregory of Nyssa taught that deviation from the names “Father,” “Son,” and “Holy Spirit” causes deviations from the one true faith. Any other names, St. Gregory wrote, “serve as a starting point for the deflection of sound doctrine.”

Delegates to the Episcopalian convention also passed a resolution without debate or discussion to include "transgender people" in all aspects of "congregational life ."

The resolution called on diocese to “encourage all parishes to remove all obstacles to full participation in congregational life by making all gender-specific facilities and activities fully accessible, regardless of gender identity and expression.”

"Fixed boundaries of gender identity are being challenged and churches need to respond. This resolution is a clear response to the systematic oppression and violence that transgender people experience on a daily basis," the resolution drafters stated.
