Hi folks, I live with my 82yo mom now since I had strokes and we subsequently lost our home last fall. She has been really tired for 2 weeks, developed a cough and was short of breath so I took her to the ER Wednesday morning. Cardiologist said she had a heart attack sometime in the past but probably never felt it due to diabetes, one leaky heart valve, and one narrowed heart valve. Congestive heart failure from prior heart attack caused current symptoms. She was admitted for diuretics (Lasix) and had a heart cath today. Bad news. Three major blockages in major vessels that they can’t stent, plus more blockages. Two very bad valves. They’re sending her to Pittsburgh 2 hours west of here for quadruple or quintuple bypass and one or two valve replacements. If she does not have the surgery she has 100% chance she’ll die. If she has it, 15% chance of not surviving it. She’ll be in an ambulance to Pittsburgh soon. Please pray for a successful surgery. Thanks, Brian
Our Father, I pray for Brian's Mom and for ALL the critical needs of my Comrades in Faith here and Worldwide. In Jesus' Holy Name I Pray. AMEN!!! GOD SAVE ALL HERE!!
I will pray for you and your mom, BrianK! I live in a similar situation, together with my parents who are getting old (78 and 85 years). I moved back home a few years ago because i wanted to leave (sin-) city where i lived several years for study. Since an accident a long time ago, I am disabled, sitting in a wheelchair and need help in many things of everyday life. Therefore my parents and i pray for our health and from now on you and your mother will be in my prayers too.
Oh Brian, I'm so sorry. Praying for both you and your mother in these important hours! May Our Lord and Our Lady be with you both.
Prayers going up for Brian and his mum. O Mary conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee.
Offering tonight's rosary for you and your mom, Brian. Will also remember Steve and his parents as well. God bless you all.
Dear Brian you have certainly suffered and continue to suffer. I will pray for you and your mum. God Bless. Your intentions in my next Rosary. You suffer as well Steve, I will pray for you and your parents. God Bless. Your Intentions in my next rosary as well. The Weaver My life is but a weaving Between the Lord and me; I may not choose the colors– He knows what they should be. For He can view the pattern Upon the upper side While I can see it only On this, the under side. Sometimes He weaves in sorrow, Which seems so strange to me; But I will trust His judgment And work on faithfully. ‘Tis He who fills the shuttle, And He knows what is best; So I shall weave in earnest, And leave to Him the rest. Not ’til the loom is silent And the shuttles cease to fly Shall God unroll the canvas And explain the reason why. The dark threads are as needed In the Weaver’s skillful hand As the threads of gold and silver In the pattern He has planned. ~ Benjamin Malachi Franklin
