At least some people recognise that the evil of sexual abuse is not a liberal v conservative issue. I fear that the prevailing powers in the Church, especially influential Jesuits, will use it as cover to jettison Catholic teaching on a number of non-negotiable and complete Luther's revolution. Nowadays we're expect to see Luther as some kind of saint or role model when the truth is that he was a priest who broke his vows of obedience and celibacy and married a nun who also broke her vows of obedience and chastity. We're also expected to forget the terrible carnage he brought to the Church in Europe. Why, if God would have wanted His church to follow Luther, did He send his Blessed Mother to Guadalupe where her apparitions resulted in as many converts to the faith as were lost to Luther's heresies?

When Voris is urging all the Bishops to resign, I don't think he realises how bad are those wanting to fill the vacancies - men who have been undermining the faith here for decades and who would very likely be the choice of Pope Francis. Maybe he would benefit from having a look at the website of the Irish Catholic Priests' Association. Rather enthusiastic about celebrating the Reformation, they couldn't find it in themselves to choose sides in the abortion referendum. Truth be told, quite a few of them are likely to have been among the "Catholics" who voted for abortion - all in the name of mercy of course. They are the type of priests who will blather on about the "sense of the faithful". Faithful to what is the question they don't seem to have an answer to. It appears to be faith in a touchy-feely Jesus who would do or say anything to be loved by the world and couldn't be further from the Father who gave us all ten commandments.

As you so often do, you hit nail on the head. Good observation. The reality of the hierarchy in these days is into a whole new zone of troubling. There is no fixing this without a kind of stripping down and starting over. The Church is in such crisis that a miracle is required. A full on back from the dead miracle. Malachi Martin often said that he always kept his eye on the sky to the East. He was expecting Our Lady then. Imagine. 20 years ago and here we are worse off than even he could have imagined.

I’ve said before I don’t care for this writer, but what he just wrote needs to be considered:

    https://akacatholic.com/intercommunion-just-part-of-a-much-bigger-plan/
    Excerpt:

All indications are, it seems, he has decided that pushback to the German initiative is not only manageable, it is such that the iron is evidently hot for the striking on a related agenda item; one that is also very near and dear to his heart – namely, the validation of Anglican orders.

This one has been simmering on the back burner for decades on end, going all the way back to the man that Francis calls his “bright light” – the soon to be “canonized” Paul VI.

    As The Tablet article reported:

Cardinal Coccopalmerio also recalled Pope Paul VI’s meeting with then Archbishop of Canterbury, Michael Ramsey, in 1966. It was a famous meeting as the Pope gave the archbishop his episcopal ring and also, according to the cardinal, a chalice.

Episcopal ring; a sign of valid orders…. The chalice; a sign of Eucharistic communion…

We know where Jorge’s heart lies, not only with regard to the latter, but the former as well: Recall him bowing his head for Justin Welby’s blessing in June of 2014, and more significantly, that he bestowed upon Welby a crozier – a sign of episcopal jurisdiction – in October of 2016.

    So here’s the takeaway:

Francis is no spring chicken. His time is limited and he knows it. In spite of so many reports that he has “rejected” or otherwise ruled against the German pastoral handout, his only real issue with it is that it’s small potatoes compared to what he really wants to accomplish before death comes calling.

While I stand by my prediction that universal norms for intercommunion are coming, and sooner rather than later, I think it’s reasonable to expect that the validation of Anglican orders may very well accompany or precede them.

And all of this in preparation for the ultimate goal; a One World Religion.

It seems plausible that once you accept intercommunion for Lutherans in a case by case basis (this will I believe most probably be the Pope´s AL patterned solution to the issue), the tradition and praxis of the Catholic Church that developed since St Paul confirmed by the saints up to the JPII the Great, and the letter and spirit of the Gospel (which is the basis of that tradition), is voided of its exclusive validity - meaning, those who want to abide by that practice shall continue to do so but others won't have to. In practice everyone will be able to access communion as long as they want - that includes not only Christian denominations. This already happens in some progressive Catholic parishes and in many catholic weddings! So in the end they will say 'we are all children of the same God'... what does it matter, don't be rigid and legalistic. That is indeed the preamble to a loosely organized One World Religion...

... but it's really a One World Carnage. That is what it is! Remember these words given by Jesus, while crying in agony, in locution to Padre Pio with regards to indifference of priests and high prelates towards the Eucharist:

"Butchers!!!...what causes me to suffer the most is that, to their indifference, they add their contempt and incredulity"
(Padre Pio to Padre Agostino, 17 April 1913)

"My house has become a theatre of plays for a lot of people; even my priests that I have always protected carefully, that I have loved as the apple of my eye; they should comfort my sorrowful heart; they should help me in the redemption of the souls, instead…. Who would believe it? I receive ingratitude from them. I see, my Son, a lot of them that… (Here he stopped, sobs tightened his throat, he wept) that under false semblance they betray me with sacrilegious communions, stamping on the light and the strength that I continually give them…’” (Padre Pio to Padre Agostino, March 12, 1913) http://catholicism.org/padre-pios-stunning-revelation-from-our-wounded-savior.html

Clearly as St Paul says whoever receives the Body and Blood of Christ not being in a state of grace eats and drinks his own condemnation, Jesus leaves us no doubt here.

Dolours, One of the priests, who is considered to be an expert in the fight against child sexual abuse appears to be very good. He is German Jesuit Father Hans Zollner and he was the one that stated that sexual abuse is not a" liberal vs. conservative" issue. I don't know very much about him but I skimmed the following articles today. Hopefully he is, in fact, doing good work to help solve/heal this problem,

I also agree that I don't think urging all of the bishops in Ireland to resign is a good solution. NCR produced an article on June 1st that suggested just that for the Chilean bishops, it was urging the Vatican to evaluate each bishop separately. I think that this is always good advice; it's good advice for Chile, Ireland, Australia, the USA, Italy, Germany, etc. My interpretation is that they also suggested that those around a particular "guilty" bishop should also be evaluated. This makes good sense also imho.

In addition, I think that Michael Voris was very emotional in that video but who could blame him. Most days, this feels like a really bad roller coaster ride that we never volunteered for.

Here is a link to the June 1st NCR article "Should Pope Francis Accept the Chilean Bishops’ Resignations?",

"When you see that things become complicated, say with your eyes closed: Jesus, I abandon myself to You; Jesus, You take over, and stop worrying about it, because your mind is sharp and for you it is difficult to distinguish evil; but trust in Me, and let your mind wander away from your thoughts. Do this for all your needs; all of you, do this, and you shall see great things, endless and silent miracles. I swear it on My Love. I shall indeed take over, you can be sure of it. Pray always with this loving confidence and you shall have great peace and great fruits, even when I choose for you the grace of immolating yourself for reparation and the love that entails suffering. Do you believe it is impossible? Shut your eyes and say with all your soul: Jesus, You take over. Don’t be afraid, I indeed will take care of you, and you shall bless My Name, in humility. A thousand prayers do not equal only one act of abandonment; don’t ever forget it. There is no better novena than this: Oh Jesus I abandon myself to You, Jesus, You take over."

Yes, lynnfiat, this is a perfect response. Humanly speaking, this mess in the hierarchy is the tip of the iceberg; the deplorable mess is throughout the Church. And though it would be tempting to say I wish more people thought like me, that is also laughable!

When you see that things become complicated, say with your eyes closed: Jesus, I abandon myself to You; Jesus, You take over...

No, we must be humble, repent, and trust, leaning on God for even the words to choose to speak!

Romans 11:33 O the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are his judgments and how inscrutable his ways! 34 "For who has known the mind of the Lord, or who has been his counselor?"

Lord, take over. Let your Will be be accomplished in our lives for the sake of the Church, for the sake of the world!

    Kyrie eleison!

It won't be a miracle, it will be a purification, as in the time of Noah, that will take place. There will be miracles take place, but those that serve the beast will follow the counterfeit miracles of the beast.

I had a long reply typed out, Carol, but lost it and probably for the best. The essence of it was that if I could package the manure spouted by prominent Jesuits I could save a fortune in soil conditioner for my garden. They're so full of BS they can't even put a gloss on it any more.

Vatican Secretary of State attending elite Bilderberg meeting
    [IMG]
    Cardinal Pietro Parolin.

ROME - Cardinal Pietro Parolin, Vatican Secretary of State, will take part in the Bilderberg Conference, an annual private gathering of global political, business and media leaders, taking place this year in Turin, Italy, June 7-10.

Parolin’s name is included in the list of 131 participants in this year’s event.

His participation in the meeting has not been officially announced by the Vatican, though sources within the Secretariat of State have confirmed that he is scheduled to take part in the meeting.

It would be the first time high-ranking Vatican official has taken part in the Bilderberg Conferences.

Started in 1954 the Hotel de Bilderberg in Oosterbeek, The Netherlands, and named after the same hotel, the Bilderberg Conference gathers each year some 120-150 participants, among them European and North American political elites, along with industrial, financial, academic and media figures.

The first meeting took place at the invitation of Prince Bernhard of Lippe-Biesterfeld. Co-founders of the meeting were Polish politician Jozef Retinger, former Belgian prime minister Paul van Zeeland, and Paul Rijkens, who was then the head of Unilever.

The success of the first meeting brought the organizers to stage an annual meeting.

According to the groups’ official website, about two-thirds of the participants come from Europe, and the rest from North America, and one-third are political figures or government officials.

The original meeting objective was to strengthen U.S.-European relations. Over the years, the annual meetings became a forum for discussion on a wider range of topics, from ecology to trade and monetary policies.

This year’s meeting is set to discuss populism in Europe, the challenges of inequality, the future of work, artificial intelligence, U.S. midterm elections, free trade, U.S. global leadership, Russia, quantum computing, Saudi Arabia and Iran, the post-truth world, and other current events.

The Bilderberg meeting’s official website stresses that discussions are private, no minutes are taken and no reports are written.

The meetings are held under the so-called “Chatham House Rules,” an agreement typical of off-the-record meetings among academics or political leaders. According to that agreement, participants are free to use the information received, but they cannot disclose the identity nor the affiliation of speakers, nor can they disclose the other participants taking part in the conversation.

Dubbed by critics to be a kind of “global shadow government”, and targeted by protesters who picket the meeting, the Bilderberg meeting has has an official website since 2011, and publishes the names of participants in the annual meeting the day before the gathering begins.

Parolin’s participation may be an expression of the “culture of the encounter” encouraged by Pope Francis. The pope has often asked officials to engage a dialogue with the world.

Receiving the Charlemagne Prize May 6, 2016, Pope Francis stressed that ”today we urgently need to engage all the members of society in building ‘a culture which privileges dialogue as a form of encounter’ and in creating ‘a means for building consensus and agreement while seeking the goal of a just, responsive and inclusive society.’”

The cardinal’s participation in the Bilderberg Group could be part of a strategy of dialogue the Holy See is engaging with the small influential elite group.

It is noteworthy that last year, Parolin took part in the World Economic Forum in Davos, and there he delivered a speech in which he listed the aims of pontifical diplomacy.

Modernist Cardinal Is "Angry“ – Cannot Accept Vatican Not (Officially) Backing Abusive Protestant Communion

Modernist Cardinal Walter Kasper is „angry“ that the Vatican letter disallowing Protestant Communion in Germany has been published on websites critical of Pope Francis like kath.net.

Writing on katholisch.de (June 7), Kasper even speaks of another Vati-Leaks scandal.

He points out that Protestant Communion is already “largely” practiced with the German bishops' knowledge and approval [which means that the bishops are "asking" for something they have already introduced].

Kasper is not ready to accept the Vatican decision.

He still hopes that an "unanimous agreement" will be found [to introduce the sacrilegious Protestant Communion] although it is impossible to receive Communion without previous confession.

Any Protestant who desires to receive Holy Communion is free to become a Catholic. How could he refuse to do this and, at the same time, want to receive what is the very heart of the Catholic Church?

Not sure if this has been posted yet.

Fr. Weinandy gives the smackdown on those who call faithful Catholics "Neo-Gnostics".

In fact he points out that it is not the faithful Catholics who are the Neo-Gnostics, but those in the Church who think they can personally divine what is right or wrong through their own conscience rather than defer to the immutable Magisterium of the Church.

I don't believe that those German heretics are angry. It's all part of the farce which has been inflicted on us since day 1 of this papacy. The letter gave them the nod to continue aiding and abetting sacrilegious communion and told them their sacrilegious practices are about to be written into an official document of the Church . That faux anger is to give the impression that the fix wasn't already in since the day the St. Gallen group got their man elected. Anyone believing anything coming from that shower of charlatans must be sniffing something they oughtn't.

After the next Synod, all those Catholics who believe that the Holy Spirit overrides the Cardinals' free will at the Conclave will be so relieved that Same Sex Marriage hasn't been declared a Sacrament of the Church they will miss the opening of Communion to anyone who shows up. The same Catholics were tripping over themselves to denounce the Pope's atheist friend when he reported that Pope Francis intended giving Communion "to anyone who asks". No need to consult prophecy to tell us what to expect for the duration of this papacy. Just read Scalfari's reports and the predictions which gave rise to the loudest criticism of his supposedly unreliable memory by the "reputable" Catholic reporters and bloggers. People actually took umbrage and flounced off this forum when everybody didn't buy the line that the Holy Spirit could contradict Himself and Jesus.
