Mark quotes Pope Francis' idea as Church as a 'field hospital'. Mark continues to bury his head in the sand. The present Church is not a field hospital. It is not even Church militant but Church surrender to the spirit of the age! It is Church anaemic. But after that debacle at the Vatican summit it is clear the hospital is full of dodgy doctors and incompetent managers. We have leaders who do not believe in the power of their priesthood and therefore cannot administer medicine to the sick. Many of them are spiritually anaemic and sick themselves and it is they who need to receive healing from the Divine Physician. Some of them are probably perverts like McCarrick. I want to be clear here -- I would not want Cupich or Marx or any of their ilk near any child for fear of their corrupting influence. We have a Pope who refuses to lead. As a result the manager of the field hospital has created chaos. But that has been his management strategy - 'create a mess' and he has succeeded. He is aware of this himself as has been quoted as saying he might be the one responsible for causing schism in the Church. The managers of the field hospital are incompetent. There are very few sound doctors on that team. They clearly cannot fix the problem because they are myopic - they have taken their eyes off Christ. They have abandoned their sacred duties. They do not believe in the power of God. Their eyes are not fixed on the eternal but on earthly things. They are not interested in being pastors of souls. They clearly do not believe in eternal punishment or Hell where unrepentant perverts and child abusers go! To put it simply they may as well be 'social workers' because they have stripped the Gospel of its power with their emphasis on social justice. They are navel gazing so they cannot see the ship is sinking! All falls within Divine Providence. God has allowed the sifting to bring into the open the rot that has set in. There is a cancer at the heart of the Church. I know it is easy to criticise. But I am embarrassed to be a Catholic after the summit of weasel words and spin. But more than that I am angry because as a Christian I believe in justice and truth and we have just witnessed a great cover up. Who cannot see this??? The field hospital is emptying quickly as the patients are seeking spiritual medicine elsewhere. I am reminded of Christ's words 'physician heal thyself'.
Yes, sadly I’m must agree. The evidence is overwhelming, consistent, and current. Only when forced to via massive outcry from the Pewsitters was McCarrick ousted. They covered for him and elevated him after they knew the truth. The real deeper issue is why? McCarrick was only one of many. The why is what leads many of us to question the whole of the Vatican hierarchy. And I think we know that answer....they are either involved, complicit, or guilty themselves. The Freemasons/communist /marxist are driving this. No, I’m not fleeing from MY church... Yes, we need to get them out. Yes, we are in a battle...our weapons...the sacraments, the rosary, prayer, and unity. Our allies are St. Michael, saints, angels, Holy souls in purgatory, Our Lady, and Our Lord. We have the promise from heaven that the gates of hell will not prevail. We win. Everyone just needs to enlist.. Be on the right side of this battle for Holy Mother Church...She is our Mother...fight for her. We are not splitting the church...WE ARE the Church. It is the anti christ forces that are trying to divide us. They are doing the splitting here...not the faithful. They need to go. When they, the unfaithful are gone, OUR church heals. Exposing the unfaithful is not wrong, it is exposing the rot that is trying to take over OUR church. Our duty is to stop them. We are the Resistance...to save OUR church.
I don;t think people in general realise how full the chalice of God's Justice is. How it overflows and heaven itself cries out with full voice for vengeance and how events themselves have overtaken us. I feel the hush around us as though heaven itself holds its breath in awe. Pray, pray, pray!
In the video, Padre Pio receives a message from Heaven about a thunderbolt. There were two thunderbolts striking St. Peter's in Rome.
I think MM nails it again. In the big picture this forum is read by next to no people and it's influence is comparably nil in the church and the world. Many think if they continue to post on here all the bad somehow it will change things. Hey, it great to talk about things but as far as it really having any effect I think one pray by one holy soul has more influence than all those type threads in the last year combined. In fact they may even be driving away potential members that happen by.
It is very sad to see what is happening in our Church, but the bottom line is - we must pray much for our Holy Father to lead the Church according to God's Will. This is our responsibility. Make your First Fridays and First Saturdays as requested by Our Blessed Mother. Fiat!
I am reminded of children making sand castles while the tide comes in. It reminds me of Jesus being exasperated with folks who cannot read the Sings of the times. The tide is coming in. Matthew 24:3-31 The Signs of the Times and the End of the Age 3 Now as He sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, “Tell us, when will these things be? And what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?” 4 And Jesus answered and said to them: “Take heed that no one deceives you. 5 For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many. 6 And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for a]">[a]all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. 7 For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, b]">[b]pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. 8 All these are the beginning of sorrows. 9 “Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My name’s sake. 10 And then many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another. 11 Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many. 12 And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold. 13 But he who endures to the end shall be saved. 14 And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come. The Great Tribulation 15 “Therefore when you see the ‘abomination of desolation,’ spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place” (whoever reads, let him understand), 16 “then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains. 17 Let him who is on the housetop not go down to take anything out of his house. 18 And let him who is in the field not go back to get his clothes. 19 But woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies in those days! 20 And pray that your flight may not be in winter or on the Sabbath. 21 For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be. 22 And unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved; but for the c]">[c]elect’s sake those days will be shortened. 23 “Then if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Christ!’ or ‘There!’ do not believe it. 24 For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect. 25 See, I have told you beforehand. 26 “Therefore if they say to you, ‘Look, He is in the desert!’ do not go out; or ‘Look, He is in the inner rooms!’ do not believe it. 27 For as the lightning comes from the east and flashes to the west, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. 28 For wherever the carcass is, there the eagles will be gathered together. The Coming of the Son of Man 29 “Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. 30 Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. 31 And He will send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together His d]">[d]elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
If anyone has been paying attention to the current Catholic prophetic consensus they are completely aware of the chalice of God's wrath being full. Yet we also know he is still unleashing his mercy at this time like a loving Father does for his children. Not desiring the loss of even one of his children to the pits of hell for all eternity. As regards to Mark's blog posted here, I think it prudent to ponder his wisdom in seeing more then those wanting to throw stones at the enemies of the Church, many his chosen son's in his priesthood. Like St John, others are sorrowful at the foot of the cross with Mary while others have scattered in the confusion, bitter and angry not seeing the big picture of God's plan foretold in scripture. Yes, we can be frustrated and angry, but we know we are just in the beginning of the purification which ultimately ends with the era of peace that our Lady of Fatima and Revelations 20: 1-8 speak to. Yes, stand with truth but pray we can see the trees through the forest of confusion and see the end game, the Triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary.
I actually think this is one of Mark's better articles (not that the others are bad). If he just left out that short paragraph in the middle about Pope Francis it would have been magnifique! I actually posted something similar to what he wrote about St. Peter on another thread about a month ago. Peter took up the sword and was rebuked. The Passion was ordained and what is happening now has to happen as well. The Church will appear to "die" if that were possible, then be resurrected. I agree he dances past some of the problems with this pontificate, but he is correct in saying that we need to interpret Pope Francis' teachings in the light of Tradition, just as we must with any other Pope. It is becoming increasingly difficult to do that, but we must.
And when he had opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven, as it were for half an hour. -Revelation 8:1
What kind of "field hospital" doesn`t preach the need to repent or convert? What kind of healing takes place?
These doctors value social justice such as global warming more than repentance and conversion. Absolutely disgusting. Personally pro-life but politically pro-choice? Infanticide? What kind of doctors are these?
...and how are these people healed in Mark Mallett' field hospital? By Fr James Martin? Globalism? Homosexual clergy? Global warming? Sorry, his field hospital is a soul crematorium.
From Mark Mallett: In that “light of Tradition,” that is, the light of Christ, Pope Francis has been prophetic in his call for the Church to become a “field hospital.” Part of the diabolical disorientation taking place after the Council took a two-pronged thrust. First, thousands of priests and nuns abandoned their calling and vows, rushing out into the marketplace, and raising the banner of "social justice"! Second, thousands of laity rushed into the sanctuary in response to the "Spirit of Vatican II"!! Talk about backassward thinking! The field hospital of which Pope Francis spoke is, after the primacy of family life, the place where the laity are to serve. This was clearly articulated in Apostolicam actositatem(1965), the Council document better known as the Decree on the Apostolate of Lay People. We are the ones who are to evangelize the temporal order by word and action. How sad it is that men and women in the pews have been conditioned to think that helping out as committed Christians is best lived out by helping at Sunday Mass! How many laity have even heard of, let alone, read the Decree on the Apostolate of Lay People? And in the document, Optatum Totius (1965), Decree on the Training of Priests, we hear the following which specifies one essential role of the priest: ...Likewise, let them be properly instructed in inspiring and fostering the apostolic activity of the laity and in promoting the various and more effective forms of the apostolate. Let them also be imbued with that truly Catholic spirit which will accustom them to transcend the limits of their own diocese, nation, or rite, and to help the needs of the whole Church, prepared in spirit to preach the Gospel everywhere. So when Pope Francis spoke of us getting our hands dirty in the field hospital, he was actually speaking of our authentic vocation as laypersons. I will not harp against Mark Mallett on this point. The sad situation we now find ourselves in on MOG, is we expend a vast amount of our energy on defending the Faith and raising warnings about Pope Francis and the Vatican. That is the role of Cardinals and Bishops. But what are we to do since the vast majority of them are silent? How sad it is that we must raise the banner of Truth so as to encourage one another. But perhaps we also need to more thoroughly discern how God is calling each of us to serve in the temporal order, our own commissioned field hospital. In his call to configure himself to Jesus Christ as servant, a deacon is a link between the ordained and the laity. May all of us here, learn, love, and defend the truth, but also ask the Holy Spirit where He wants us to get our hands dirty in the temporal order: Matthew 25:34 Then the King will say to those at his right hand, `Come, O blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world; 35 for I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, 36 I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me.' Safe in the Barque of Peter!
Mario you wrote "Part of the diabolical disorientation taking place after the Council took a two-pronged thrust. First, thousands of priests and nuns abandoned their calling and vows, rushing out into the marketplace, and raising the banner of "social justice"! Second, thousands of laity rushed into the sanctuary in response to the "Spirit of Vatican II"!! Talk about backassward thinking!" Sadly, PF also has rushed into the sanctuary as a result of the "Spirit of Vatican 2" and has also raised the banner of social justice. There is no healing there!
I think soul crematorium is a very apt name for what is being espoused by many in power in the Church right now. Active homosexuality, acceptance of adulterous lifestyles, use of birth control. These are all straight from Hell.
The point I was making is that the Church is clearly not a field hospital & it is no longer the Church militant but Church anaemic. At the recent Vatican conference this was so obvious because of the lack of leadership over the abuse crisis - it was embarrassing. Where was the real concern for the abused? - some weasel words were spoken but I didn't see any genuine repentance. Where are all the lay people you speak of? I don't see too many getting their hands dirty because there are so few in the pews and so badly catechised many don't even know the faith. Few Catholics can agree on the faith anyway so why is that? Why can no two bishops or cardinals agree on anything? The Catholic Church at present is not fit for purpose! The boat is taking in water on all sides and is in danger of sinking! Looks to me like the protestants and other sects are ahead of the game and much of Latin and South America is becoming protestant before our eyes. Look at Europe - it has become a pagan wasteland. I refuse like some to bury my head in the sand and ignore the greatest crisis that the Church has ever faced. There is a remnant keeping the faith alive and our only hope appears to be Africa and perhaps Russia if the powers that be would consecrate Russia. Sorry you find me pointing this out as a 'sad situation'. Rather I hope it is a reality check that we need all need to soon grasp and to pray as never before and offer sacrifices as never before for poor sinners. I pray the daily Rosary for the leadership of the Church for their conversion. If my posts cause one person to increase their prayers for the Church it will have been worth it despite the flack I have got from some for criticising the ineffective leadership at the Vatican Summit on Child abuse. For me the pathetic response was the straw that broke the camels back. It is a clear sign the church has capitulated in its mission. May bishops, cardinals and priests are on the road to perdition unless we pray and make sacrifices for them.
