I got the idea yesterday to send a link to a book about Garabandal to a friend of mine who is Protestant but I am not sure which book would be the best one to send him. He is a very good Christian and a great believer in miracles. I think that he might be open to learning more about this apparition of Our Lady. Can you make a suggestion? Thank you in advance.
Honestly I don't think this is " the Synod" just before the Warning, and my reasoning is that the other "pre-warning signs" are not close yet. Has the Pope planned a trip to Moscow ?- No. Is Communism so global that mass can't be celebrated,or priest persecuted, not really, only on a small scale in Russia & China, not globally. IMHO, it's a later one. But I'm no genius.

FATIMA - GARABANDAL CONNECTION ? I feel ,as many do, that Garabandal is the continuation of Fatima. At Garabandal, Saint Michael first appeared to the visionaries in the evening (8:30 P.M.) of June 18, 1961, exactly 40 years to the day (and even the same time of day) from the last vision at Fatima. In the sixth apparition at Fatima on October 13, 1917, during the tableaux of visions during the Miracle of the Sun, Our Lady appeared as Our Lady of Mount Carmel with the scapular on her wrist. On July 2, 1961, the Virgin appeared at Garabandal as Our Lady of Mount Carmel with a large brown scapular draped over her right arm. When Our Lady appeared at Fatima in 1917 she did something she had not done before: she addressed messages specifically to the entire world. While she appeared again after Fatima at Beauraing (1932-33) and Banneux (1933), she did not speak to the world at either of those places. But at Garabandal we again find this universal appeal. Although Fatima and Garabandal are separate events there is continuity in the revelations and similarities in features of the events not found among the other visits of Our Lady during the Marian Age. It is interesting to note that the 3rd secret was supposed to be released after 1960,and when it was not, Mary appeared at Garabandal in 1961. See how the world did not heed Mary's Fatima warnings, so she stated them more profoundly at Garabandal. Regarding the third secret of Fatima: our Blessed Mother said to Lucia to make it public AFTER 1960, so she wrote this suggestion on the envelope-the reason for this specific direction from Mary is because she appeared in Garabandal in 1961-just one year AFTER the date pointed on the secret of Fatima. *Father Malachi Martin has told us that he has read the Third Secret — he announced that on the Art Bell radio program, which we have on audio tape. In addition, in answer to a number of questions, Father Malachi Martin stated that Our Lady came to Garabandal, Spain, because the Third Secret was not released in 1960 as She had requested. As a result, Our Lady appeared in 1961 — one year after the Vatican failed to release the Third Secret — and She basically released the Secret to the four children at Garabandal, or at least within the message of Garabandal. And the most striking thing of all in that message is "many Cardinals, bishops and priests are going to hell and dragging many souls with them" and that a great chastisement awaits mankind because of the sins of this time.
OCT. 2: Today we celebrate the Feast of the Guardian Angels. According to Scripture and Tradition, there is a Hierarchy (sacred order) of nine angelic choirs. Here we see a good explanation of the vast, innumerable and powerful Angelic Hosts.
SAINT MADRE MARAVILLAS OF JESUS, O.C.D. SAINT MADRE MARAVILLAS OF JESUS, O.C.D. (1891-1974) St. Maria Maravillas of Jesus This extraordinary Carmelite nun, who was beatified in 1998, less than 25 years after she died, founded the "Association of St. Teresa," with the purpose of restoring the rule of life of the original Constitutions of 1581, rigorously established by Teresa of Avila one year before her own death. Mother Maravillas "knew" that Garabandal was authentic. She even clearly shared her conviction with her spiritual daughters, assuring them that "the phenomena occurring at San Sebastian de Garabandal come from God!" In an unusual side note. St. Maravillas warned Bishop Puchol Montis on April 25, 1967 (one of the former Bishops of Santander ) that he would have a sudden death. Bishop Montis seems to have opposed the events of Garabandal irresponsibly in her opinion. Monsignor Vincente Puchol Montis, reports in his Note of March 17, 1967, that 1) There was no apparition, neither of the Blessed Virgin, nor of the Archangel, nor of any other person from Heaven. 2) There was no Message. 3) All the events that occurred (at San Sebastian de Garabandal) have a natural explanation . . ." On March 19, the Spanish Television made this Note public. He died as a result of an automobile accident on May 8, 1967. Now there is some very interesting "coincidences" relating to the Bishop's death. After his written letter of March 17,1967 trying to discredit the apparitions and messages, he is warned by Mother Maravillas. He refuses to change his stance on Garabandal. He is told of his future death on April 25th, and dies on May 8th, ( THE FIRST FEAST DAY OF ST. MICHAEL THE ARCHANGEL,Who started the apparitions at Garabandal ! ) Not only that but when found dead in the car, his hands are " blackened " ,but there is no fire ???? Draw your own conclusions.

Conchita said after the death of JohnXXIII , there would be 4 more popes ,until the end of THE times,(NOT the end of all time, NOT the end of the Popes either ) meaning a new era begins. This is the era we are now in ( after the 4 popes Paul VI, JP I, JP II, Benedict ) it is now that we will experience the WARNING & MIRACLE . Albrecht Weber, the author of the book “The Finger of God“, had become involved in Garabandal in 1963 and became friendly with Conchita. On November 14, 1965, the day after the last apparition of Our Lady in Garabandal, Mr. Weber interviewed Conchita at her home in the presence of her mother. There was also present with Mr. Weber an interpreter. During that interview, it came out that when Conchita had spoken, on the very day that Pope John XXIII died, of “Three more Popes and then would come the end of the times,” her mother had asked her several questions. In response to one of her mother’s questions, Conchita responded that Our Lady had actually said that there would be FOUR MORE POPES but that She was not counting one of them. When Conchita’s mother heard that she strictly forbade Conchita to repeat that again as her mother feared there would be erroneous interpretations and much gossip. People might wrongly believe that one of the Popes might be false or bad, etc. During that conversation with her mother, Conchita also said that Our Lady had told her that one of the Popes would have a very short reign. You must understand what Conchita was referencing . When she was told that there would be 4 more popes, then it would be" the end of THE times" this meant an "end of an era." ( not the end of all time or the end of all popes ) The prophecy had nothing to do with the future number of popes, it was MARKING A PERIOD IN TIME.
Today Oct 5 Wishing Apostolate founder, Joey Lomangino a Blessed 89th Birthday in Heaven. I have so many favorite stories of Joey , which ran the gamut from spiritual to humorous, one story better than the next. I'll post a few. I remember all the wonderful times we shared, and how much this man taught me, and influenced my life,and received a healing from his "kissed medal". I am eternally grateful . Isn't it amazing how one blind man, with the help and faith in God and our Blessed Mother , changed so many lives ,around the world. God bless you Joey, your spirit lives on in all of us, and on this page !
Joey meets Padre Pio ( restores sense of smell ) Story told by Joey Lomangino 1961- As Padre Pio came into the room we all knelt down to receive his blessing. Padre Pio was coming from the left hand side of the room across the front. All of a sudden I heard the moving of knees and all; I didn’t know what was going on. Padre Pio had his arms around me and started kissing me on the forehead. He said, “Joey, I am so happy to see you.” When my uncle told me it was Padre Pio embracing me, I was at a loss for words because I was almost the last one in the room and nobody knew I was going to be there, not even myself! But there was still more in store for Joey Lomangino on this fateful trip. After Mass on one of the following mornings, he again found himself in the large room where he had first encountered Padre Pio in 1961. He knelt with the other men to receive the Padre’s blessing as he passed by. Feb. 18, 1963- When I had my injury in 1947, I not only lost my eyes but I lost my sense of smell. So when I knelt down to receive Padre Pio’s blessing, and got the fragrance of roses that came from the wounds in his hands, I was startled and went against the wall with my arms up to protect myself; I didn’t know what it was. Padre Pio pulled down my hand and said in Italian, “Joey, don’t be afraid.” He then touched me on the bridge of my nose and my sense of smell was restored to me after being without it from the day of my accident in June 1947, which was 16 years. 2 “BLESSINGS” Joey’s greatest blessing. I was accompanying Joey on a flight down to Alabama to appear again on EWTN’s Mother Angelica LIVE show in 1996. While on the flight down, we always had wonderful personal conversations. This one day, we were discussing how we originally met, and what a great blessing it was for me, and I asked him “ What was your greatest blessing ? “ Now I expected one of several answers, ( his family, his Apostolate work, Confession with Padre Pio, Padre Pio restoring his sense of smell, meeting and being friends with Conchita, etc. ) His answer shocked me ! He said while he had many blessings , “ Being blind “. I said “ really, how’s that ? “ He went on ” because if I never had been blind, I never would have been saved”. It was his blindness that led to his spiritual sight and salvation . Padre Pio told Joey “I can’t give him sight for his eyes, but I can give him sight for his soul.” Can any of us ( who are sighted now ,as he once was sighted as a boy ) endure that suffering of having lost our eyesight, consider it a "blessing " ? Wow, how insightful. BUYING HIS HOUSE : Here is the funny (and miraculous ) story Joey told me, of when he was buying his house. As most of you know, the Blessed Mother appeared at the 9 Pine trees in Garabandal and that’s where the future Miracle will be. He and his wife Marilyn went to buy a house on Long Island, NY , because he converted the one he was living in , into the NY Garabandal Center. The person who was showing them a perspective house was describing the outside of the house to Joey. The Real Estate person mentioned the beautiful Pine trees that lined one side of the house. They asked ,"how many pine trees are there ? The real estate person said " 9 " ! …. Joey said " We'll take the house ! "
Joeys dates and Feast days in his life. Lets look at all the dates pertaining to Joey's life ask yourself are they significant ? FIRST. October 5 . Born on the FEAST DAY OF ST. FAUSTINA (who saw the upcoming Warning ) SECOND. June 27. After his accident that left him blind, on FEAST OF OUR LADY OF PERPETUAL HELP ! THIRD. July 16. He woke up on THE FEAST OF OUR LADY OF MT. CARMEL ! FOURTH, Dec. 8th Joey was married on , THE FEAST OF THE IMMACULATE CONCEPTION, FIFTH, He died on June 18th the DOUBLE ANNIVERSARY OF THE FIRST APPEARANCE OF ST.MICHAEL AT GARABANDAL, AND THE LAST MESSAGE FROM MARY AT GARABANDAL. Hmmmm, I think I see a pattern here .

I was blessed to accompany Joey and Marilyn Lomangino to Toronto for this Garabandal conference , organized by Dr. Michael Rozeluk and his wife Helen, who run the Canadian Garabandal site ( ourlady.ca ) At about the 51:25 mark of this home made video, and the end of Joey’s talk, you can see people lined up to meet Jacinta and venerate the crucifix our Blessed Mother kissed. THE BLESSED MOTHER'S 2 MAIN MESSAGES OF GARABANDAL Our Lady's 1st Message of Garabandal :October 18, 1961-- We must make many sacrifices, perform much penance, and visit the Blessed Sacrament frequently. But first, we must lead good lives. If we do not, a chastisement will befall us. The cup is already filling up, and if we do not change, a very great chastisement will come upon us. 2nd message:June 18, 1965-- “As my message of October 18 has not been complied with and has not been made known to the world, I am advising you that this is the last one. Before, the cup was filling up. Now it is flowing over. Many cardinals, many bishops and many priests are on the road to perdition and are taking many souls with them. Less and less importance is being given to the Eucharist. You should turn the wrath of God away from yourselves by your efforts. If you ask His forgiveness with sincere hearts, He will pardon you. I, your mother, through the intercession of Saint Michael the Archangel, ask you to amend your lives. You are now receiving the last warnings. I love you very much and do not want your condemnation. Pray to us with sincerity and we will grant your requests. You should make more sacrifices. Think about the passion of Jesus.”
