This is a great example of why it is the youth that they go after and the aged and older generations they use as a scapegoat to blame the ills of humanity on with our bigoted and closed minds keeping them from reaching their full potential but more pointedly reminding them of their real fate. Perpetual revolution. This is the goal. Soon, Chelsea will be a much younger version of her own mother and her daughter will be escorting her to her euthanasia ritual before her poisonous closed minded ideas have a chance to act against humanity rather than simply using her as a convenient backdrop to her own insanity as she does with her own mother now. Why is it always children who are the learned patriarchs of society (Greta anyone?) ? Will the world have to come full circle to the oracles of the pagan demons of the past before this madness ends?
Fertility clinics – the next moral battleground “It’s not in a woman. She’s not pregnant.” Naperville Fertility Center, Sept. 28 Rosaries in hand, a small group of abortion opponents gathered outside a medical facility to pray for the unborn. It was a familiar ritual held at an unconventional location: a fertility clinic. An annual Bike for Life fundraiser culminated on a recent Saturday at the Naperville Fertility Center, a site where technology and science are typically heralded for enabling life where it was once deemed impossible. Yet the crowd out front expressed concern for the fate of frozen embryos inside — particularly those that might be discarded, cryo-preserved indefinitely or donated for research — as a result of in vitro fertilization, considered the most effective form of assisted reproductive technology. “When you do IVF, you create a life, but how many lives does it take?” said John Zabinski, founder of the bicycling event, which is organized by a local council of the Knights of Columbus. “When you get this life, what happens to the other babies?” To Zabinski and his supporters, an embryo is just as worthy of protection as a fetus of any gestational age, based on the moral principle that life begins at conception. He lamented that some anti-abortion leaders ignore or de-emphasize potential consequences of IVF. Numerous states have recently passed some of the most restrictive abortion laws in the nation in an attempt to challenge Roe v. Wade, the landmark U.S. Supreme Court decision that established the right to terminate a pregnancy. Among the most stringent was Alabama’s near-total ban on abortion, but it includes a notable exception — in vitro fertilization. “The egg in the lab doesn’t apply,” Clyde Chambliss, state senator and bill sponsor, said during legislative debate. “It’s not in a woman. She’s not pregnant.” Sean Tipton, spokesman for the American Society for Reproductive Medicine, considers opposition to IVF a fringe crusade among abortion foes. He added that fights against fertility treatments tend to be very unpopular, so those against reproductive rights are less inclined to tackle IVF because “they know they’ll lose.” The above comes from an Oct. 8 story in the Chicago Tribune. https://cal-catholic.com/fertility-clinics-the-next-moral-battleground/
rotests take over capitals of Chile, Lebanon October 19, 2019 | https://theweek.com/speedreads/873045/protests-take-over-capitals-chile-lebanon ANWAR AMRO/AFP via Getty Images) Protests have rocked both Chile and Lebanon this weekend. A state of emergency has been declared in Santiago, the Chilean capital, after protests stemming from a hike in public transportation fares became violent Friday evening — the state of emergency is a result of Chile's dictatorship-era constitution and can last for 15 days. Soldiers reportedly returned to Santiago's streets Saturday for the first time since a devastating earthquake hit the country in 2010, The Guardian reports. There reportedly is no curfew at the moment, though the government does have the power to implement one. Police have reportedly detained more than 300 people, while 156 officers have been injured, 49 police cars have been damaged, and 41 metro stations have been damaged, as the entire transport system was temporarily shut down. "We are assuming control, deploying our forces in a way that we can prevent continuing acts of vandalism and having a better sense in the morning of what is happening," Javier Iturriaga del Campo, a Chilean general said. Meanwhile, in Lebanon, thousands of demonstrators reportedly gathered Saturday in downtown Beirut for a third consecutive day of protests. The protesters are calling for the resignation of the government, which is considered to consist of the same political ruling class that has led the country since 1975. At least 136 people have been detained since the protests began Thursday evening. Nearly all of them were reportedly released Saturday, but many reportedly appeared to have sustained significant injuries. Protests paralyze Catalonia as marches head for Barcelona By ARITZ PARRA and EMILIO MORENATTI | Associated Press | https://www.foxnews.com/world/protests-paralyze-catalonia-as-marches-head-for-barcelona BARCELONA, Spain – Spain's northeastern Catalonia region and its riot-swept regional capital, Barcelona, were paralyzed Friday by a mix of strikes and marches as it faced its fifth day of protests over the conviction of independence leaders. Spanish central authorities said that 57 flights into and out of the region were canceled for the day due to a general strike called by pro-independence unions. Picketers also closed off to traffic the border with France across the Pyrenees and burned tires or blocked dozens of roads and highways across the northeastern region. Commuter and long-distance train services were significantly reduced, and many shops and factories didn't open for business. Catalan authorities said that electricity consumption, a key indicator of industrial activity, was by noon 10.1% lower than at the same time the previous day. The effects were also felt in major tourism landmarks. Architect Antoni Gaudí's modernist Sagrada Familia closed its doors due to a protest blocking access to the basilica. Naoya Suzuki, a 34-year-old tourist from Japan, complained about the disruptions to "people who have nothing to do with Spain." "I've had a look at the news and I can just about understand why they are angry, but not why are they are doing all this and stopping the sightseeing of tourists," he said. Highways were occupied by thousands of people joining five marches from inland towns that were expected to converge in Barcelona's city center on Friday afternoon for a mass protest alongside striking students and workers. Farmers in tractors joined some of the so-called "Freedom marches," organized by the grassroots pro-independence ANC and Omnium groups. That followed clashes with police that broke out in cities across the region late on Thursday, for the fourth night in a row. In the capital, a mob of far-right anti-independence activists also tried to storm a separatist protest that drew thousands of people. Health authorities in the region say that 42 people were injured Thursday night, most of them in the capital, and the regional police arrested 16 protesters, sending eight to jail, according to Spain's Interior Ministry. The caretaker interior minister, Fernando Grande-Marlaska, said that authorities are tracking "minority groups that are provoking incidents in very specific places," vowing to punish the radicals. More than 200 people have been arrested since separatist sentiment swelled again this week following the imprisonment of nine separatist politicians and activists who led a push for independence that triggered Spain's deepest political crisis in decades. Albert Ramón, a 43-year-old public servant joining a Friday rally in the northern city of Girona, said the convictions —including fines for three more separatists— had worsened the political climate. "These verdicts violate fundamental rights and hence people are reacting," Ramón said. The former head of the Catalan government, Carles Puigdemont, on Friday avoided arrest after he voluntarily testified before Belgian judicial authorities over a new warrant that Spain issued this week following the sentences. Spain is seeking Puigdemont on possible charges of sedition and misuse of public funds after previously failing to secure his extradition from Germany and Belgium on suspicion of rebellion. Puigdemont fled to Brussels in late 2017 following the failed attempt to establish a new European republic in the wealthy region, and has since then campaigned for Catalan independence from there. In May, he was elected as European lawmaker, but he wasn't sworn in because Spain's electoral board said he didn't qualify for the seat by failing to show up in Madrid to swear Spain's constitution. The Belgian judge did not impose bail conditions while the case is being examined, making any immediate extradition unlikely. The separatist leader told Belgian authorities that he rejects being sent back to Spain. He was ordered to remain in Belgium but can apply for permission to travel abroad, his lawyers said. Puigdemont told reporters waiting outside of the prosecutor's office in Brussels that he did not fear justice "from a fair court." Instability in the Catalan region has led to the postponement of next week's marquee soccer game between Barcelona and Real Madrid. The Spanish soccer federation said the game was being moved to avoid coinciding with a large separatist rally, as officials fear more violence. The two clubs have until Monday to decide on an alternative date. Speaking about the recent wave of rioting, the Catalan regional security minister said the violence didn't represent the wider and peaceful separatist movement. "The images that we are seeing in Barcelona and other Catalan towns don't match the civilized and peaceful mobilization that we have seen in the past few years," Miquel Buch said.
I sincerely wish that every biological male now wishing to identify as "a woman" - and insisting on being addressed/viewed as a woman - would experience an entire year's worth of menstrual cycles; complete with lightheadedness, nausea, actual vomiting, gut-clenching & uterus-twisting cramps, chills, sweats...(for 3 days straight at least each time).
Please forgive me that I keep blathering about this; The Patriarch of Constantinople has recently, as many know, granted autocephalacy and recognition to a hitherunto technically schimatic and unrecognized Orthodox Church of Ukraine, which existed alongside the official, national, recognized Ukrainian Orthodox Church, who is under Moscow. The OCU split and demanded recognition, in light, especially, of the Russian invasion of the Ukraine. Russia / Moscow is not happy the Patriarch Bartholomew has taken it upon himself to do this without consulting them, and has excommunicated Greek Orthodoxy from Russian Orthodoxy. Which is huge. My take is, well, if Bartholomew is First Among Equals as Eastern Orthodox ecclesiology describes his See, why doesn't he have the authority to do this? The newly recognized OCU seems friendly towards Catholics, as is Patriarch Bartholomew. Some speculate that Francis or a successor could bring Constantinople back in Union with Rome. So, this is interesting. Just waiting to see.
Also, this evening, when praying the Fifth Glorious Mystery, I saw as it were Our Lady dressed in red and blue, standing, as though she were very tall, between Russia and Europe, East and West, standing with her hands outstretched to both sides, as if offering mercy and reconciliation to East and West. So, I don't know. I don't know if that means anything, or if I've just been admiring too many icons and images lately, but it was beautiful, and stately. Please pray for the seperated East. They are going through a crisis, and need our prayers, too.
It would awesome to see reunification of the churches in our lifetime. I think about the song "They will know that we are Christians by our love" and how that hasn't always rang true for so much of the history of the church.
I would love to see everyone get back together. I know so many good, Christ-like, devoted Protestants, too. It would be lovely for them to see clearly, and come back Home. Sola Scriptura and Sola Fidé blind so many. But still, we're not too far off from each other in many ways, too. If a Protestant Christian can be taught to trust the Church who gave us Scripture, and understand that works do justify us, they're not far from coming Home. There's an apparition discussing and urging reunification between East and West. https://www.soufanieh.com/menuenglish.htm
Sola Scriptura is a lot better than the present antics in the Vatican or that clown saying the evangelists didn't have tape recorders. At least Sola Fide implies a faith. So many eminent Cardinals and Bishops seem to be atheists.
Faith though misguided (protestant) is still faith. Faith in the inerrant Word of God is a bulwark and a hedge. A shield in the strife. Believing Catholics and believing protestants are much closer than either of us realize. God is working.
Remember that Moscow is the Third Rome. There will not be another. When the Muslims were approaching Constantinople, the Patriarch at the time took the steps to declare the Orthodox Church in Russia to be a separate Patriarchate. That way, if Constantinople were to fall (which it did), Orthodoxy would not perish. Moscow takes its role as the 3rd Rome very seriously, and frowns seriously against any of the Orthodox confessions(?) under its self-proclaimed "sphere of influence" acting up or expressing any desire to be under the Greek Orthodox leadership. The Patriarch's actions are well within his authority. Moscow is p*ssed because the split diminishes Russian influence in Ukraine. Moscow does not negotiate with the other Orthodox churches. What Moscow says the other churches MUST do, or they are betraying Orthodoxy and dabbling in the dread heterodoxy, or even worse, Roman Catholicism. At one point, the Greek Orthodox patriarch wanted very much to rejoin with Rome. I think it was during a period of persecution by the Turkish authorities. Reportedly, Pope Paul VI was horrified by the idea and talked the patriarch out of it. I think Paul VI feared Turkish backlash at a time when the Soviet Union was a major threat to faith.
Prayer Needed Desperately Jeffrey Younger and his son James SaveJames.com Mon Oct 21, 2019 - 5:33 pm EST BREAKING: Jury rules against dad trying to save his 7-year-old from gender ‘transition’ October 21, 2019 (LifeSiteNews) – A jury has ruled against Jeffrey Younger, the father who is trying to protect his seven-year-old son, James, from chemical castration via a gender “transition.” This means James’ mother, Dr. Anne Georgulas, will be able to continue “transitioning” him into “Luna,” and now has full authority to start him on puberty blockers and eventually cross-sex hormones. The jury’s decision likely means that Mr. Younger will be required to “affirm” James as a girl, despite his religious and moral objections, and will also be forced to take a class on transgenderism. With a consensus of 11 of the 12 jurors, the jury decided not to grant Mr. Younger Sole Managing Conservatorship over his two twin boys. They voted that the current Joint Managing Conservatorship should be replaced by a Sole Managing Conservatorship, but that Mr. Younger should not be that person. Judge Kim Cooks will read her ruling on possession, child support, and Dr. Georgulas’ other requests at 1:30 p.m. CST on Wednesday. PETITION: Support dad fighting to stop gender transition for 7-year-old son Mr. Younger and Dr. Georgulas were in court last week fighting over custody and decision-making abilities for James and his twin, Jude. Mr. Younger argues his ex-wife is “transitioning” James against the boy’s will. Dr. Georgulas, who brought the lawsuit, was asking Mr. Younger’s possession schedule be altered to decrease overnight stays and to force his visits with the boys to be supervised. Dr. Georgulas brought the original modification suit to the court and did not request a jury trial. Mr. Younger, in his counter petition, asked for a jury trial. Since Mr. Younger requested the jury trial, the jury ruled on his specific request for Sole Managing Conservatorship and the judge ruled on all other aspects of the petition as brought by Dr. Georgulas. She was also asking that Jeff be forbidden from calling his son James – his given and legal name – and that he be prohibited from bringing James around people who do not “affirm” James as a “girl.” RELATED: Pro-LGBT adults admit 7-year-old in gender ‘transition’ case isn’t totally convinced he’s a girl Mr. Younger was asking to be granted Sole Managing Conservatorship of the boys, meaning he would have had complete authority over medical, psychological, and other decision-making for the boys. The jury did rule that one of the parents should be Sole Managing Conservator – but that it shouldn’t be Mr. Younger. Before this case, Dr. Georgulas had complete authority over psychological care decisions for the boys. She was required to inform Mr. Younger of her decisions, but he did not have any say in her choice of care. Last week, the arguments revolved around James’ diagnosis of gender “dysphoria,” medical records recommending he begin the process of preparing for puberty blockers, and expert testimony about the risks and alleged benefits of puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones. Mr. Younger is worried about Dr. Georgulas forcing a lifetime of misery on their son. Transgender-identifying individuals, even when encouraged in their confusion, suffer from more psychological issues than the general population, have shorter lifespans, and are more likely to committ suicide. According to the Mayo Clinic, possible side effects of feminizing cross-sex hormone therapy are: A blood clot in a deep vein (deep vein thrombosis) or in a lung (pulmonary embolism) High triglycerides, a type of fat (lipid) in your blood Gallstones Weight gain Elevated liver function tests Decreased libido Erectile dysfunction Infertility High potassium (hyperkalemia) High blood pressure (hypertension) Type 2 diabetes Cardiovascular disease, when at least two other cardiovascular risk factors are present Excessive prolactin in the blood (hyperprolactinemia) or a condition in which a noncancerous tumor (adenoma) of the pituitary gland in the brain over produces the hormone prolactin (prolactinoma) Expert witnesses testified to a child’s inability to full comprehend the potential side effects of such therapy, such as permanent infertility, inability to ever naturally engage in sexual relations, and a decreased lifespan. On Friday, protesters called on Texas lawmakers to pass legislation making it illegal for anyone under 18 years of age to begin a medical transition. They argued that children cannot fully understand the lifelong consequences of their decisions and parents should not be allowed to make this decision for their children. Currently, there aren’t any U.S. laws that restrict the use of puberty blockers or cross-sex hormones or outline a minimum age of administration. Dr. Georgulas testified today James and Jude are not actually biologically related to her. They were created through in-vitro fertilization and the couple used an egg donor.
