Next Autumn..at the very latest. God has already tasked the angels in this regard. Just like King Saul.

Pray for the poor man. I pity him very greatly. I wouldn't like to be in his shoes when he is called home. Red shoes or otherwise. The God God is no respecter of ranks.

The poor. poor, poor man. Please, pray very much for him. The poor, poor man.
Anyway he is done and dusted. Turn your eyes to the next Pontiff.
Pray for a Great one. A truly great one.

We don't get to vote on this.

We do get to pray on it.

Pray for our Lord Cardinals. They will have to face the Judgement Seat too. Maybe a lot sooner than they imagine if they choose another Francis.

    1 Samuel 16:7

But the LORD said to Samuel, "Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The LORD does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart."

Very sobering. Today at my Holy Hour I was given very specifically in this regard some verses from psalm 118. Very sobering. " In the Name of the Lord I crushed them.....shouts of joy and victory in the tents of the just..."
The whole sequence of verses was so powerful and so apropos to what I had been praying about. I began to tear up and a few rolled down my cheeks. Just sheer relief at the assurance that the Lord has "got this" as they say. Your post seems a confirmation.

Well , St Paul talks about, 'The Mystery of evil,,'

People are offered grace (including Popes) many millions prayed for him. It was up to him how he ran with it.

    He didn't.

    So now he's gone.
Satan was never going to defeat God. He lost the second he said, 'No'.

    2 Thessalonians 2:7

    The Man of Lawlessness
…6And you know what is now restraining him, so that he may be revealed at the proper time. 7For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work, but the one who now restrains it will continue until he is taken out of the way. 8And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will slay with the breath of His mouth and annihilate by the majesty of His arrival.…

I agree. Technically Mark is writing in an almost perfect example of charity to be show the Pope according to canon law.

Fr Heilman has a great interview with Taylor Marshall. He talks about his uncle--a priest and also his godfather--who was instrumental in his vocation who utterly turned on him when he was called by Christ to become exceedingly reverent in saying the Mass. Although novus ordo it is celebrated with all the sacredness and reverence of the TLM ad orientum. His bishop was Bishop Morlino who was very supportive and tuned in according to Fr Heilman. He thinks this hostility of so many priests and bishops et al comes from a lack of supernatural grace. They simply dont believe in the supernatural.i think we are approaching a real sheep and goats moment. Jesus save us. Count us among the elect. Keep us faithful to you. Dont let go of us. Through Mary's sorrowful and Immaculate Heart we pray.

I predict quite a few years ahead still for Pope Francis. At least 5-7, if not more, and I don't think he will ever resign short of serious health issues.

I just went to the "Eponymous Flower" blog and was very saddened. The blog writer was quoting from the condemned apparitions at Bayside. I had been to this site many times in the past and read good Catholic fare.

This brings me not so much to talk about that blog, but about something that I see happening all across the spectrum of faithful Catholic circles. It seems to me there is a fraying happening. As people try to make sense of the current situation they are breaking into smaller and smaller groups. Wandering off in the wrong directions. I think we are suffering from the diabolical disorientation that has overcome the Church. It is very sad :(

We need to unite. Not dissipate.

Yes, this is sad. The anger and horror of all that is happening is pushing us in different directions. Michael Matt is trying a "unite the clans" approach among faithful Catholics, especially those who attend the TLM. This calamity is causing some angry, knee-jerk reactions.

Lord, may your Holy Spirit imbue us with patience, peace, unity, and wisdom.

O Mary conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee!

Xavier "In the end, My Immaculate Heart will Triumph."

Let's take this advice of St. Leonard every day: St. Leonard of Port Maurice: "Take my advice, and in every Mass ask God to make you a great saint. Does this seem too much? It is not too much. Is it not our good Master who proclaims in the Gospel that, for a cup of cold water given out of love of him, he will, in return, give paradise? How, then, while offering to God the blood of his most blessed Son, should he not give you a hundred heavens, were there so many?"

Only God through His Saints will solve this crisis. Let's ask God to give us a Pope who wants to be a Saint and who becomes one, in the way St. Leonard outlines.

I don't wonder if anyone ever thought of Francis changing the rules of the Conclave before leaving, something like submitting the decision of choice to the faithful, (as a way of getting a very liberal Pope).

I don't know if I want to go this route yet, frankly. I don't exactly know what to think.

I think we should still pray for him, even if we don't have much human hope, or just don't want to deal with him anymore.

Fwiw, I don't tune in his homilies or statements anymore. A group of Franciscians who I tune into has stated that this, too, is not an option. If the Pope speaks, we must at least listen. I find this really hard to do, though, and hard to care about. I think with my own situation and personality, tuning out would be best, and the most charitable option. God forgive me.

Well there does seem to be some good news.

I have no idea if it is true or not but apparrently a very significant number of Cardinals are saying that Pope Francis is, 'The worst Pope in history'.

I almost died at Mass when Father (a very holy priest, btw) said that Pachamama was processed into St. Peter’s this morning!!! And a friend of mine after Mass said he saw a picture of it online! Has anyone else seen or heard this?!?!

I must admit I have never been all that big into tuning into Popes. I have tired on a few occasions to read Papal Enyclicals but , to be honest they bore me to tears.
I would love to see a Pope do something like a simply homily or teaching on utube.

I was trying to find information on this this morning on the news feeds but to my surprise I could find nothing. The mass itself is online if you want to watch through it.

I was hoping the Holy Father would change his mind.

    Hoping..hoping.. hoping.

The most I have done is read through some really awesome homilies by John Paul II the Great. Those were awesome. The man had a real gift, and charism, and truly wanted, I think, to bring all Christians Home. He reached out to the Eastern Orthodox a good deal. And to Protestants.

Maybe, hopefully, for some of us, it is enough to focus on our own tiny lives, and pray for the Pope. I hope so. I should try to hear him out, though. I know there is a lot of error. But refusing to have anything to do with someone sounds difficult, too. I don't know.

I remember one time drinking from a stream up the mountain and an old man came up and warned me not to do so. I asked him why and he pointed to some cows upstream and said they would have polluted the water by going to the toilet.

I feel like that with Pope Francis. Maybe some is good, maybe some is not.. so why risk it?

That’s the same one I checked, Padraig (thanks!) but I didn’t see it, either. I hope Father and my friend are mistaken... but I won’t be surprised if video surfaces of it. I feel like I’m in some creepy parallel universe or something... never in my life did I ever think these heinous things would be coming from the Vatican itself! It all makes me nauseous.

The lady in front of the procession was simply carrying a bunch of plants. I suppose of there were idols Life Site would have reported it. So no idols. Thank God for small mercies.

Actually it is not the idols themselves that worry me so much as the fact that most Catholics seem totally relaxed about it.

Where is that horror? Where is the shock? Where is the disgust?

    Baffling.
