This is so sweet Fallen Saint, thank you.

Merry Christmas to you and your family and all MOG members and their families too!!!

May God bless us all on this joyous occasion.

May we remember the gift that was given to the world over two thousand years ago, Our Lord and may we try to be generous to others today, tomorrow and everyday throughout the year through acts of kindness and generosity whenever possible.

Merry Christmas to everyone. We are just decorating now. I procrastinated. Family dinners, presents, midnight mass, more family get togethers. Those are my plans. Praying everyone has a blessed celebration.

St. Anne Church in Louisiana wishes everyone a blessed Christmas. They used a crop duster to spray their whole town with Holy Water. I love it!

We are going to Mass and having a quiet family gathering for the next few days. We will have a special Traditional meal and then I will collapse and probably take a nap. Almost getting too old for the hoopla but it is Christmas, after all. Merry Christmas to all, and God bless everyone and their families.
PS I was having some trouble with the font size. LOL:LOL:

I have instituted a new idea with my kids this year (adults). I said to them only 1 present. That is all they need. I am also giving them money that I have asked them to spend on making their family a better family, because that is the example that the Holy Family has given us.
We also gather with our extended family on Christmas eve. Instead of buying presents for each other, I have a priest friend in Ghana that we all donate all our money to that we would have spent on gifts for each other. We have been doing this for several years now. His congregation is growing so fast that he is now building a church.

Merry ChristMas everyone! Merry ChristMas fallen Saint! Thanks for this thread. Hope everyone is having a great ChristMas with Baby Jesus, Mother Mary, St. Joseph, and with your own family, or friends, or the Lord.

I'm having a great time with family. We're going to Church soon. Currently listening to ChristMas music and also singing for joy at the top of my voice. :D Haha. God is so Good to have come down from Heaven for us!

This is O Come, O Come Emmanuel, a Traditional ChristMas Hymn:

    "O Come, O Come Emmanuel
    And ransom captive Israel
that mourns in lonely exile here.
Until the Son of God appear

    Rejoice, Rejoice Emmanuel shall
    come to thee, O Israel.

O Come of all nations the King,
    the world awaits its ransoming
    Remove our sin and faithlessness
Unite us who Thy Name confess

    Rejoice, Rejoice Emmanuel shall
    come to thee, O Israel."

A Very Merry ChristMas 2019 to the MOG Family! Let us give thanks to God for all the Graces of this years 2019 and prepare for the Graces He is going to give us in the next year and decade! 2020 is going to begin soon and a new decade is starting as well. Let us share all our joys and sorrows with Baby Jesus this ChristMas.

We got a late start b/c of flu. Just got the creche up. Only yesterday did a bit of shopping for grandkids. Way behind. I will go to Christmas Eve Mass. Then tomorrow we head to my son and his family for nice celebration. Keeping all of you in my Christmas Mass intentions.

Don’t worry about your late start, since Christmas is almost here. At least the kids are looked after. :)
Thanks for the prayers and enjoy your family.

Merry Christmas everyone! I am hosting Christmas Dinner at my house this year with my family & in-laws. I'm a bit under the weather with a cold however. Sad to say I will be the only person of my family attending Christmas Mass, even though most of them are Catholic. Ah well, I will most certainly be praying for them and for ALL of my MOG friends! Christmas Blessings to you ALL!!!:)

Well my husband remains Protestant, so tonight I'm reluctantly (only for his sake) attending a service at his church.

Tomorrow I'm whipping up a gourmet spaghetti dinner (instead of lasagna); will serve with tossed salad, and peach pie & whipped cream for dessert.

It's going to be an unusually quiet Christmas in our home. We formerly enjoyed Christmas dinner with friends, but alas "politics"...

    *MERRY CHRISTMAS*

There are four people who work in the hospital at nights but two of them are off sick at the moment so I have been working the four nights in the hospital on my own. Tonight and tomorrow night I am covering three hospitals on my own including , childrens, intensive care and Transplant Notes, which might mean driving across the City if their is an emergency.:)

The week after next I am taking time off to have my real Christman and hope to psend loads of time in prayer, especially in Front of the Blessed Sacrament. I have felt such a huge calling recently to heavy Fasting but have not yet summoned up the courage; I am such a coward.

I am sitting at my desk in the hospital, feeling my Guardian Angels so close.

I was looking at a young man in Intensive Care the other night. He looked so healthy and fit as a bull , yet so close to death. Life is so passing.

Hospitals dance at Christmas, they are so close to heaven. For so many folks the gateway to heaven which they walk though. You can nearly hear the Pearly Gates swing open.

May the baby Jesus teach you many new things this Season. You have to be very little to take instructions from a Little baby, may God grant us to be very small ourselves to do so.

None of us is alone at Christmas; the angels surround us singing.

Just got back from a truly beautiful Mass in the main church of our parish, village of Plumbridge, Co Tyrone

I feel so very, very, very blessed to be an American in Ireland ...

    Indescribably blessed. By His Grace.

(Admittedly I'm a rather British American - an Englishman from Los Angeles, I sometimes say :))

God rest ye merry gentle friends
    Let nothing you dismay
    Remember Christ our Savior
    Was born on Christmas Day
To save us all from Satan's pow'r
    When we were gone astray

Padraig this sounds like a wonderful way to spend Christmas. Standing watch--like the shepherds and St Joseph. And you make it possible for others to be with their families. Another lovely thing. Grace all around.(y)

Back home from Mass and tucked up in bed. Mass in the Dominican church was beautiful. Entrance antiphon, Gloria and Creed sung in Latin. Recessional hymn was Adeste Fideles part in Latin and part in English. After Mass choir sang Silent Night at the crib.

Wishing you all a happy and holy Christmas.

I'm going to church in the morning at 9 a.m. First time in years I have not gone on Christmas Eve, but since I could not sing in the choir this year I opted for Christmas morning. Plus, it is getting harder for me to see at night to drive. My husband is down with a terrible cold, it's going around. Our oldest son is here keeping an eye on us. We had a light dinner tonight, will fix a nice dinner tomorrow after church. We said no gifts this year, it takes all the stress off my husband. So, just a quiet and peaceful Christmas in the country. I just repaired a couple of old chalk statues, one of Mary and one of the Infant of Prague. They were missing fingers, noses, scuffed and scratched. The Infant is sitting next to my computer looking happy that he has been repaired. So, we have this nice little conversation going back and forth, it IS his birthday after all.

Yes that's what I intended to let the married ones off. But mostly its for the dough. :D:D My Christmas will have to wait until the week after next. I am looking forward to it.:) I admire the medical staff who work through it though. Such nice people.

Prayers for all who are sad and lonely this Christmas. For those who have lost loved ones. Christmas can bring so many sad memories.

I spent Christmas Eve preparing the room and tables for dinner today for 8 adults and 10 children. I'm already exhausted. I will go to Mass later this morning and I went to Christmas Eve Mass in my parish. It was packed. I had to sit in the gallery and it was so crowded I was worried it might collapse. The church was filled with families who don't ordinarily come. I did notice most did not receive communion. I felt a great heaviness and sadness. Maybe I was just tired.
