Meteorite crash in Russia: UFO fears spark panic (VIDEO, PHOTOS)

Up to 500 people sought medical attention as a result of the incident, according to the Russian Interior Ministry. No serious injuries have been reported, with most of the injuries caused by broken glass and minor concussions.
At least one piece of the fallen object caused damage on the ground in Chelyabinsk. According to preliminary reports, it crashed into a wall near a zinc factory, disrupting the city's Internet and mobile service.
The Emergency Ministry reported that 20,000 rescue workers are operating in the region. Three aircraft were deployed to survey the area and locate other possible impact locations.
Witnesses said the explosion was so loud that it seemed like an earthquake and thunder had struck at the same time, and that there were huge trails of smoke across the sky. Others reported seeing burning objects fall to earth.

 

With all of our weapons and technology, the smallest thing (a falling rock), can disrupt entire civilizations, reminding us how powerless we really are.

In 1998, I saw a huge fireball streak across the sky near my home as I was driving. I thought it was a plane crashing as I live near an airport. I saw it in broad daylight at around 7pm in the summertime.
I drove around looking for the crash, found nothing, and after being in a panic and calling my friends and relatives, and the police, I found out I was the ONLY one who had seen it! Later from Jesus I found out that I had a vision! It looked just like the video on tv today. I asked why I saw this and never got a response from Jesus. Could I have been seeing a sign I wonder??

Youknow I am very surprised that this hit is not top news round the world, the BBC has it very low down its stories and the other news agencies don't seem to be picking it up top of the list..why?

 

Just like all loud noises around the world in the last few years, you'd think people would start to take notice! but just as Jesus said, they would just go their merry ways and ignore until the end takes them away!

Okay, I read this on another forum..what they were referring to was another year this triangle of meteors from PA to Ny..but it was around this exact time/date as the Russian episode today..sorry about that.
I misinterpreted that..and as I looked and did see these postings and did not read them and catch the dates!!
Now I have to go back and correct the info elsewhere...

That's amusing to me, because my husband came home all excited because a guy at work with military connections, who is supposedly "in-the-know", said it was a secret Russian weapons test. This kind of stuff is like candy to conspiracy theorists.

 

You have to laugh, but on the other hand you have to wonder who in Russia is taking this guy seriously, I mean this sounds like old cold war propaganda. A meteor falls in Russia and this guy is saying it was a US weapons test. It just remeinded me of MS7's very scary thread.

 

That's the sad part. The man who made this claim, Vladimir Zhirinovsky, is a Russian Fascist on the payroll of Putin's Secret Police's oligarchic friends. Zhirinovsky is Vice-Speaker of Russia's Parliament and his inaptly named political party "the Liberal-Democratic Party" won many seats in the last "rigged" parliamentary election. The Kremlin lets clowns like Zhirinovsky run because it makes it look like today's Russia is a multi-party democracy (which it isn't) where the corrupt Putin is the best choice between Zyuganov's Communists and Zhirinovsky's Fascists. It is true though that many Russians do support Zhirinovsky and his advocacy for Russian imperialism (with threats of nuking Russia's neighbors being quite the joke).

It shows you something about the state of Russia's politics where no independent political parties are allowed to run for parliament but only Putin's "party of crooks and thieves" as Russians call it, and the communists and fascists.
