I know that this has previously been posted, but perhaps its time to watch again or for those who have not yet seen it. A prayer before watching this video: "Come Holy Spirit, enlighten my heart to see the things which are of God; Come Holy Spirit into my mind that I may know the things that are of God; Come Holy Spirit into my soul that I may belong only to God; Sanctify all that I think, say and do so that all will be done with His Will for the glory of God.
Unfortunately, Fr. Skwarczynski's bishop has asked all distribution of his messages be stopped. There was an earlier thread about him, https://motheofgod.com/threads/fr-adam-skwarczynski.7729/page-5#post-297680 Information on the bishop's decision: On March 10, 2020, Kuria Siedlecka issued a special communication on Fr. Adam Skwarczyński. We have just received the content of the communication and published it to all readers – maintaining full obedience to the Mother church and at the same time closing all entries concerning Fr. adam or associated with him, not having ecclesiastical approval. As a result, there are quite a few posts – I do not undertake to comment, reply or post for the next few days. I want to delete everything related to the publications of Fr. Adam Skwarczyński and there is no direct ecclesiastical approval. In turn, entries such as, for example, “Litany to St. John the Apostle and the Evangelist with ecclesial approval” – click whether “The Rosary before the Blessed Sacrament – joyful mysteries” will be on this page. Father Adam is surrounded by a daily prayer that he will have from us forever. And we continue in Piotrowa Łódź and we are engaged in evangelization and the defense of faith Message In connection with numerous inquiries, doubts and allegations directed to the Diocese of Siedlecka By lay faithful and clerics in connection with the activities and teachings of Fr. Adam Skwarczyński, priest of the Diocese of Siedlecka, Bishop Siedlecki Kazimierz Gurda on 16 December 2019 established a special Commission to examine and evaluate the theological issue. On the basis of the protocol presented of the Commission’s work of 31 January 2015, on the basis of the spiritual good of the faithful, Bishop Siedlecki on 9 March presented fr. Adam Skwarczyński with the opinion of the Theological Commission and handed over the decree in which fr. Adam cease: teaching, also on the Internet and through printed publications, of Father Adam’s misguided teaching of Paruzia, and especially that Paruzia is a “middle event” and not the ultimate “at the end of the world”, that the coming of Christ is to be done “in our days”, which demands from the costly faithful, especially the material one, are supplying themselves for 3 days of darkness and promoting the idea of 25 years of happiness of new people after “three days of darkness”. At the same time, Fr. Adam was obliged to remove the teaching materials from the websites and any publication, including on the Internet, without the express permission of the Bishop of Siedlecki. https://liveandloveforjesus.com/202...all-of-the-critical-information-we-have-list/
Most of the Prophets of our days - especially Priests - have been silenced by their Bishops. Consider the reason for this and pray for these holy Priests as Our Lady has asked of us.
Thanks for posting this again Lynn. "The priests who venerate me will be scorned and opposed by their confreres..." said Our Lady in Akita. I'll remember to pray for Father Adam.
And doesn't the Body of Christ have to go through the same passion He went through and so betrayed by its own. I'm just considering the possibilities of what is happening with priests around the world today that are speaking up about where we are now....maybe this is all suppose to happen.
And all of the false prophets get silenced as well. 1 of 100 prophets are authentic. Disobeying the Bishop is not pleasing to Our Lord. Or do you have no respect for obedience? Who has the authority to judge the authenticity of this alleged prophet? Not you and not me!
https://wobroniewiaryitradycji.com/2020/03/11/komunikat-w-sprawie-ks-dr-adama-skwarczynskiego/ Due to numerous inquiries, doubts and accusations addressed to the Diocesan Curia of Siedlce by lay faithful and clergy in relation to the activity and teaching of Fr. dr. Adam Skwarczyński, priest of the Diocese of Siedlce, Bishop of Siedlce Kazimierz Gurda on December 16, 2019 appointed a special commission to examine and theological evaluation of this issue. On the basis of the presented protocol from the work of the Commission on January 31 this year, guided by the spiritual good of the faithful, Bishop Siedlecki on March 9 this year. introduced by Fr. dr. Adam Skwarczyński received the opinion of the Theological Commission and handed a decree in which Fr. Adam to stop: teaching, also on the Internet and in printed publications, of the erroneous teaching of Father Adam about Parousia, and especially: that Parousia is a "middle event" and not the final "at the end of the world", that the coming of Christ is to take place "in our days", which is demanded by from the faithful the costly, especially material, supplies for 3 days of darkness, as well as propagating the idea of 25 years of happiness for new people after "three days of darkness". At the same time, Fr. Adam was obliged to remove teaching materials from websites and any publication, also on the Internet, without the express permission of the Bishop of Siedlce. the magical blessing of water "from a distance"; the exorcisms of the possessed due to the lack of a canonical mission from the diocesan bishop. In addition, the Bishop of Siedlecki did not consent to further guidance by Fr. dr. Adam Skwarczyński's "spiritual life counseling", which was located in his home in Rakowiec near Siedlce, and the gathering of the faithful for the Eucharist in the private chapel of Fr. Adam. Fr. Dr. Adam Skwarczyński accepted the decision of the Bishop and undertook to abide by it. At the same time, he was informed that in the event of failure to comply with the above orders, he would be subject to penalties provided for by canon law. Fr. dr Jerzy Duda Director of the Department of Pastoral Care of the Diocesan Curia of Siedlce Siedlce, on March 10, 2020
It seems Fr. Skwarczynski was traveling the same path as Fr. Rodrigue. Posting videos on the internet, telling followers to store supplies, performing exorcisms without a bishop's authorization. This is a very serious thing. When a bishop approves an exorcism, the exorcist can command spirits to leave in the name of the Church, with the power of Christ. Without approval, both would-be exorcist and victim are at great risk. .
It does not surprise me that these Prophets are being silenced, but if a Bishop silenced them, then they must be obedient. As I do not live in Poland and had no idea that his Bishop said this, I will also be obedient and attempt to delete my post. I just felt it was very important for all to know about what Fr. Adam is saying. I for one discern him to be a true prophet, but you are open to discerning for yourselves.
I had watched this video in the past, and found it very worrying if taken seriously. So confess for once that I welcome his Bishop saying not to take what he says seriously. Otherwise why would the Bishop ask this Priest to stop sharing what he has come to believe might happen. I would not however want to enter into any debate that would dismiss what this Priest is saying. It is something I am very happy to leave in God's hands. But indeed, Pray Hope and Don't Worry. Pray especially for this Priest and his Bishop.
Yes, Bishops and exorcists is a big, big subject in the Church. I think that it is only fair to point out the well-known failings of the Bishops on this subject. Have you ever read any of Fr Amorth's books? He did an important job of exposing the issues in this area in the Church, and they are grotesque. According to him, most bishops have never performed an exorcism, don't want to and are afraid of doing it. Many, many dioceses in the world don't have appointed exorcists and millions of faithful are left without help or guidance in this day & age where occult practices are everywhere. The spiritual priests like the two priests in question may in fact be getting into "trouble" for reasons that have to do with a conflict between the command of Christ, the love of the sheep conflicting with the order of their bishop. Christ came and He performed acts of love and charity and then He left telling His apostles to do what He did. Exorcism was a central pastoral action of His, so, so important to the salvation of souls and yet today it is very difficult for the faithful to find exorcists. I have read that the power of exorcism was conferred for a long time through minor orders. Fr Amorth gets into that in his book when he says that Cardinal Suenens suggested that these rights be re-instated and even given to the laity for certain less serious cases. If you could suppose for an instant that your bishop had authority over you as a parent and he told you not to perform important role of caring or loving your children, would you obey? You have a command of the bishop on the one hand and the command of Christ on the other. I think this is a reason that lay groups for deliverance and healing have emerged over the years who can help, because the priests and bishops are not doing it. I don't know what happened between the priests and bishops, so I won't judge, however it is clear for anyone who has ever sought this type of help in the Church that the Bishops failings in this area are extremely serious for the health of the Body of Christ. Here are a few quotes from Fr Amorth's first book (and I purposefully include his reference to successful exorcisms occurring in the Protestant church): "While this pastoral ministry [ exorcism ] is entirely overlooked in the Catholic world today, it was not so in the past. In some denominations of the Protestant church, exorcisms are still practiced frequently and fruitfully... Not only are exorcists few in numbers, but also they are barely tolerated and at times, they are hindered. They seldom find anyone to open their door to him. Everyone knows that sometimes people possessed by demons scream; this is the main reason why a pastor or superior of a religious does not want an exorcist on his property. Peace and quiet become more important than the charity of healing people who are possessed. Even I have experienced this hostility." "I would like to alert Bishops to the gravity of the problem. Sadly since most Bishops have never performed an exorcism, they are seldom aware of the extent of the need." "I must point out that too many Churchmen are totally disinterested in these problems, and so they leave the faithful defenseless. I believe that taking most of the exorcism rituals out of the baptismal ritual was a grave mistake (and it seems Paul VI shared my opinion) and I believe that it was a mistake, to have eliminated, without a suitable replacement, the prayer to St Michael the archangel that we used to recite after every Mass. I am convinced that allowing the ministry of exorcism to die is an unforgivable deficiency to be laid squarely at the feet of the Bishops. Every diocese should have at least one exorcist at the Cathedral and every large parish...should have one as well. Today the exorcist is seen as a rarity, almost impossible to find. His activity, on the other hand, has an indispensable pastoral value, as valuable as the preacher, the confessor and those who administer the other sacraments." "One day, a bishop called me and asked me to exorcise a certain person. At first, I told him that it was his duty to appoint an exorcist. He replied that he had been unable to find a priest who would accept the task. Unfortunately, this is a common occurrence. Often, priests do not believe in exorcisms, but if the bishop offers them the office of exorcist, they feel as if one thousand demons are on them and they refuse... Priests almost never use their power of exorcist because they lack faith and are effectively afraid to disgust the demons."
Oh and this one is a doozy also. On page 171, Fr Amorth, chief exorcist of Rome, wrote about reasons given by Bishops in Italy as to why they didn't appoint exorcists. One of the answers: "If the devil becomes my enemy, what am I to do?" Fr Amorth's books are a must-read to understand this grave issue in the Church and the responsibility that rests solely upon the Bishops.
I'd be careful of just about any idea that came from Cardinal Suenens - who was credibly believed to a free mason, effected liberal changes during Vatican two and even tried to push the acceptance of birth control. I think his opinion on the way exorcists are to be selected should not be given any credence whatsoever. **edited out second half, wrong exorcist claim
If we don''t trust the Diocesan Bishop to discern who is the voice of the Church then who are we going to Discern, ourselves? This is effectively Protestantism. The huge hallmark of the Catholic is Obedience , which is the Fruit of Humility. Abandon the Voice of the Church then we're little boats up the creek without a paddle. Each of us doing our own thing as the Protestants do. Chaos. The Voice of the Church should be to us as th evoice of God. That's what being a Catholic means. Anything else leads to madness.
Take up this issue with Fr Amorth, it was in his book. I agree Padraig, and I don't doubt the obedience of the two priests on this subject. If they have compassion, they are probably offering up their suffering to Christ for the liberation of those faithful that they can't help. Fr Amorth never suggested disobedience and neither did I. I asked an honest question to think about how difficult it would be to not perform your duty from God because the Church told you not to do it. People are posting negative statements about potential issues between priests and Bishops. And so I repeat my reason for replying here: it is fair that readers in this thread also be aware that the Bishops have the main responsibility for the huge issues in the Church today about the lack of exorcists and help for the sheep.
I'll let him know right away. Regardless of who's book it appeared in, ideas from Cardinal Suenens are generally suspect due to the above mentioned things and other well documented issues. My post was to you - and it was done in charity; I figured you didn't know a lot about his motives.
You're right Frodo, I don't know anything about him. As Fr Amorth's was the chief exorcist of the Vatican, he knew many secrets within those walls (which he said were possessed). so if he quoted that statement, perhaps it was the suggestion that had merit.
Andree, Respectfully, the point is that these two priests were disobedient on this subject. To the degree that their bishops had to issue a public statement saying that they had conducted the ritual without authority. You are implying they performed the exorcisms out of compassion--but that is your notion, not their statement. Does a person's concept of compassion give him the right to ignore Church law? I wonder if they requested to be allowed to perform exorcisms, as they ought to have. Compassion may be their excuse, but pride could have played a role, couldn't it? My understanding is that an exorcist should be a priest of impeccable moral stature and prudence. Do these priests, who apparently (not sure, but likely) chose to announce themselves messengers without the strict guidance of the bishop, to publicize doom-filled messages, fit into that category?
If I recall correctly, if the priests don’t have the permission from the bishop then the exorcism won’t work at best and cause problems for some or all of the people involved at worst.
