In Ireland allegedly 1,882 have died from covid in 2020 (according to Professor Dolores Cahill who has examined the government statistics the real figure is around 100 deaths from covid only). Number of abortions last year in Ireland 6,666.

Covid has serious risk factors for people with certain underlying conditions and age profile. Those at most risk are those who are advanced in age, or have underlying health issuses such as obesity, type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, chronic respiratory disorder etc. These are the groups that should be protected and that is where the resources should go -- protect the vulnerable and let the rest of society get on with living their lives. I take Vitamin D3 and Zinc supplements to boost my immune system. There is evidence that the virus has mutated to become more infectious but has lower morbidity than it had in the earlier peak of the spring of 2020.
Government should be spending more time informing people about the benefits of Vitamin D3 and zinc but they are too busy closing Gyms and restricting peoples movement and zero concern for people's mental health. I'm expecting to be furloughed from my job next week, this will be my 2nd time but we will be ok for now and we are grateful for that. A couple of years ago when in prayer I asked the lord to help direct me to improve my health and I actually felt him say "Do weight training" and so we built a small log cabin last year as a family Gym and we all use it regularly. My son and daughter use it every day and so many times they have said that this has been a lifesaver for their them. I acknowledge that we are very fortunate to have this luxury and very grateful to the Lord. I also live in a remote area so going for walks very day is no problem. This is also makes it a lot easier to pray so I have no excuses. I am very grateful that I have my faith as this helps massively, but I'm very conscious that this is not the case for the majority of people, especially in city's. The Lockdowns are causing devastation and have to be challenged. We are so blessed to have our faith and being able to ask for wisdom and guidance from the Holy Spirit, but for people with no faith there is no hope. I will use this time to pray for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit on all people.
I think that one thing the virus has taught me is a bit of humility. I have had to change my position and understanding of this threat numerous times over the last few months. I suspect like us all I was drawing my information from the internet. But you know this virus does not care about our politics or positions it is , just what it is, a virus. It reminds me of water coming into a ship. Or of flooding. Water will always, always reach its natural position no matter how hard you try to stop it. I am not really scared of too much, but this virus has really caused me to pause and take stock. I'll tell you another spiritual thing that makes me thing. If this is a true Chastisement from God..and I do believe it is. Then the Chastisement will be in order of the severity of our sins. Now... ask yourself this one question? Of how severe and order have been our sins? How grave then might we expect the Chastisements for them be? For our sins are of the very, very highest order. Spitting in the Face of God. This is the central thing that is giving me pause about the virus and causing me to take stock. But also, I am seeing things all around me with me own two eyes. In my hospital it is as though Ireland had gone into a State of war We are only in Autumn.. A real war, not a phoney war.
Your experiences at the hospital are compelling. It is very hard to know the truth when the TV news hypes an agenda. On the internet you have to be wary as well. I know we certainly deserve a chastisement ....more Rosaries.
I like to look at the figures and compare with previous pandemics. 1.1 million covid deaths worldwide from a population of 7.8 billion. This pandemic is equivalent to 1957 Asian flu (1.1 m deaths) and 1968 Hong Kong flu (1.0 m deaths). No real difference there. Survival rate of covid over 99% for those who get it. Depends on your age profile 0-19: 99.997% survival rate 20-49: 99.98% 50-69: 99.5% 70+: 94.6% God is good - the young don't die from this disease. 0.0014% of the world's population has died of covid. Yes it is a serious virus I don't deny that - it's putting a lot of people in hospital and in ICU beds but the death rate much less than in the Spring. Hospitals are under pressure so the solution is to increase capacity. That is what we did in the past. That's what they need to do now. Last month covid was 24th major cause of death in the UK. 2 people have died each day from covid in the north of Ireland on average since August. Ten people die each day in the north from cancer. My problem is with government lock-down strategy -- they should target, resource and shield the vulnerable groups like the old etc.
I completely misread the map in your post. I thought it was showing Ireland to be the only country where public worship is permitted. Pardon my stupidity.
I have being getting most of my information from the internet as the MSM lie. The information has come from Doctors, Professors, Immunologists, Bio-Chemical engineers and many more experienced professionals. I have had to get this information from the internet as these people are not being given the opportunity to present their findings on the MSM. Why not? The Government's actions have prevented and delayed so many people who have now missed hospital procedures and check ups, so its inevitable that this would cause a massive back log and people who have being needing treatment are now in a worse state that also makes them more vulnerable to the virus. I believe our Lady is appearing in Medjugorje and that there are 10 secrets containing some are chastisements from God. It was recently "reported" that one of the visionary's had said the virus is not from God but from Satan. I don't believe this a chastisement from God. I acknowledge its a real virus with the strong possibility that it originated in a lab. If it was based on the severity of our sins then I would say with the amount of babies murdered through abortion then we would be wiped out in an instant. The Governments will certainly use hospitals becoming busier due to this becoming flu season and back log as justification for lockdowns and mask wearing etc. I have previously asked for the source of the 1 in 100 testing positive you reported in Northern Ireland and also I would ask you watch the videos and articles I have submitted and point out any information they present as incorrect or misleading. This includes the video on the unreliability of the PCR testing. You are entitled to your opinion based on what your are witnessing in the hospital you working in but that is only a very very small sample to worldwide figures. We also have to remain people of Faith not Fear one thing is certain and that is we are going to Die with or without this virus. In these crazy times we might also be called to martyrdom. God bless everyone, take your vitamin D3 and zinc, exercise regularly, drink lots of water and keep praying.
I have my doubts. I would not be so quick to take firm position. The best wisdom I have heard so far was from a Senior Consultant in the hospital. He was not wearing a mask and neither was I (we neither of us believe much in masks). He said to me, 'My moustache is about as much good as a mask!' We laughed. I asked , 'What do think is going to happen now?' He said, 'I don't know, you don't know, no one knows'. He laughed again. I laughed too. Got it in one. Of course people who surf the internet know all about it. They know for totally sure one way or the other. As for the rest of us, who don't go harvesting the internet and watching utube. Well we really don't know. We really don't know at all. ..and I think that's a really wise and humble place to be.
You know Bobby and Padraig's posts touched home with what I have been feeling myself.. A while back I think it was around the start of the virus which Mario could concur I got a strong sense that the Holy Spirit was telling me to pause and take stock.. To be silent of all the noise and to see what this is all about.. There is so so much information and far too many angles with this virus it is turned into what it is supposed to be confusion. Without any doubt it is real and nothing about it is good.. Therefore very very evil Time to pause take stock and defeat it. Hold out your hand and ask Jesus to hold on tightly as you are propelled through this valley of tears. JESUS I TRUST IN YOU.
We never had outdoor Masses and I don't think it would work with the onset of winter. We had glorious weather during the first lockdown and outdoor Masses would have been a solution then but our weather is very unpredictable. We could get all four seasons in a day. Back then, with the good weather and most people being at home people took to gardening, the water reserves got so low that the government imposed a hose pipe ban. It started raining the next day and I don't think we have had two consecutive sunny days since. Cork city was flooded last week. We have gone from no Masses to ticketed Masses and now we're back to no Masses. If memory serves me, the public Masses were stopped before the government mandate. I have sympathy for the Bishops because they're between a rock and a hard place. Most of our priests are elderly and the Bishops have a duty of care to them as well as to the faithful. Secularism is so strong here (even among weekly Mass goers although that sounds like a contradiction) that if even one person were known to have contracted the virus in a church, the condemnation of bishops and priests would be relentless even from people who consider themselves devout Catholics. I went to a city church last week to enrol some people in monthly Masses. It's a huge church which would seat many hundreds, maybe a thousand people but normally they get no more than about 20 people at daily Mass. The church doors were locked so I went around to the side where the sacristy was open. They sell greeting cards and religious items in the sacristy which is quite small. I could hear Mass being streamed over a loudspeaker as I waited my turn to be served in the sacristy. The church was locked because Mass was being offered there but the little sacristy could remain open.
It's a very , very, very severe Chastisement indeed. Look around you. Not just the virus itself but it's effects. I feel especially sorry for young people. I am an old fart. I've lived my life. I don't really care. But my heart heart goes out to the young.
We have masses every day Dolours, in my Church like you on the island of Ireland. Two on Sundays. Packed to the rafters. No one wears masks. All of us happy as campers. One hours Eucharistic Adoration before each mass. Packing them in. The Old Rite. If I have to die I'll die very, very happy. Thank God I don't live in the so called, 'Free State'. Where every single Church is shut. Up here every single Catholic Church is open (the vast majority of Protestant, closed). We still regard worship of God as 'essential', give me that Old Time religion. Not a mask in sight Dolours. Not a mask in sight. So happy. Packed out, Dolours. packed out to the roof.
Yes. That was the evidence that was collected over the summer. It seemed hopeful. Yet, the pattern back in 1918 was similar, with a spring outbreak, a pause--but then a more sustained, lethal burst. Maybe all the things the doctors learned earlier this year will moderate effects however the virus develops.
