Thank God...so far! This could change anytime. This was already the fifth time the court had to rule on this...they keep coming! Five- four decision...too close to not be concerned.

 

Dreadful. I can only imagine what would happen if you refused.

I read through the article which happened to give more attention to the lower court decision than the decision by the Supreme Court. Here's what was included:

"The state reasonably concluded that when people gather in social settings, their interactions are likely to be longer than they would be in a commercial setting," the Ninth Circuit wrote of the federal court’s findings, "that participants in a social gathering are more likely to be involved in prolonged conversations; that private houses are typically smaller and less ventilated than commercial establishments; and that social distancing and mask-wearing are less likely in private settings and enforcement is more difficult."

My little highlighted portion at the end was enough to boil my blood. Yes, this is the problem: the State wants to enforce their draconian dictates!

10/01/2021 update: In line with the Lockdown Places of Worship regulations, the Church will remain open for Mass with restrictions on the number of parishioners allowed at one time. The Church doors will be open 30 minutes before the start of Mass. When the Church, Pastoral and Marian Centres are completely filled according to the rules, no additional parishioners will be permitted to enter and will be advised to return home. Wearing of a face mask and 2m social distancing rule must be also followed at the Church Car Park. Please observe the directions of the Parish Stewards.
Parishioners now must scan the QR code when they arrive at the church using their NHS COVID-19 app or provide their first name and contact number. Information collected will be stored and used by the Church in accordance to the regulations.

 

This is so scary. What if one day they would round up everyone who is so devoted in going to Church and will be sent to concentration camps
