This blog is written by a man who lives in South Bend, Indiana, just off the Notre Dame campus, who has a devotion to our Blessed Mother. And he’s very very ill. A regular guy, no famous blogger and he doesn’t write much. But when he does, oh boy...and this story is amazing, you can read it all here and I posted an excerpt below: https://sideofthehouse.blog/2021/05/18/first-chastised-then-comforted-by-our-lady-herself/ “Just before I pushed the button to summon the “Walk” signal to cross the street, something happened that I will never forget: I was scolded by Our Lady. Yes, I mean the Mother of Jesus. All the way from the Grotto to this point, I had been praying the rosary. In all honesty, it wasn’t the most attentive prayer. My mind had been wandering. But now, very clearly inside my head, I hear HER voice saying to me, “STOP IT! You have asked me for comfort. I sent you TWO of my best people. TWO people singularly positioned to bring you comfort, and how did you receive them? You totally BLEW IT OFF! How can I help you if you IGNORE the people I send you to bring you comfort and hope! STOP the self-pity!”
I had tears rolling down my cheeks. I always think of Our Mother as consoling and lifting me up...but as any good mother, of course she straightens us up when necessary. Question is...are we listening?
