You are soooo right! I’m hearing the same. Crime is through the roof and coming to a town near everyone if the government doesn’t crack down.
Jo, I live less than an hour from NYC. I loved to drive in and walk around the different boroughs. If I took the train, I felt completely safe using subways and bus transits to get across town. Now, I would not go into the city. I won't use mass transit ever. I drove into the VanGogh exhibit with my 2 girlfriends a month ago. We parked on the water in a safe area. We walked around Chinatown...I could not believe the change in Chinatown. All the restaurants are shuddered and out of business. So many homeless people all over the place. This is not the city it was pre pandemic. It was safe and flourishing. Now we have gone back to the 1970's NYC which was a garbage pile.
Unfortunately, this seems to be happening across much of the nation. I thought I read murder rates for example, are pretty much up in most metropolitan areas and this isn't just to point at that city or this one. Homicide rates up nationally; here's the list of worst cities - Rolling Out
Yes. A young man from Georgia just came up to the policeman and stabbed him. He tried to get the policeman’s gun so that meant that he was killed by other police. It’s tragic and insane. I guess it boils down to what we have feared all along: no place is really safe. All of the plans of evildoers are falling into place. But we have God. Praying for your son to move. It’s hard when you have settled in a place.
I wonder if they will ever 'crack down'. They seem to want a lawless society. I don't know if anyone else has noticed, but we cannot believe the volume of traffic accidents this summer, and I'm talking bad wrecks, not just fender benders. I think the anti law enforcement environment is also contributing to speed, and insane behavior on the roads. It's war out there, all we hear are sirens all day.
Appreciate your prayers HH. True, a safe harbor is nearly impossible to find at this point. Our only safety is with Our Lord.
I have noticed the same thing, Jo. So many bad wrecks. Fatal wrecks. Car fires. I have also noticed a huge increase in the number of house fires, strangely enough. Several a week in Southern Maryland. Strange.
Don't forget to get a picture of Divine Mercy blessed and posted in one of your windows or on the front door.
Mine is on my door right now. Marking the top of the door with a cross with blessed chalk and a St. Benedict’s medal. I’m not demon friendly! Hopefully getting my house blessed soon
I just now saw this on Spirit Dailyemons repulsed by blessed homes: https://www.catholicexorcism.org/post/exorcist-diary-149-demons-repulsed-by-blessed-homes
Excellent!!! Thank you so much. Our pastor wants us to set up a time soon to bless our house. He said the same thing about the blessed force repelling the evil. We need to do that soon. There are evildoers a few houses away. I do use the holy water and exorcised salt, but need a priestly blessing.
I do too HH. Our pastor is hopefully going to do my home and a close friend. Thanks for reminding me about the blessed salt. I forgot to do this at my new home. They say to cover the perimeter of your property, but I’d like to do the whole neighborhood! Lol ( actually, I really would )
Careful about trying to do "the whole neighborhood". Demons are legalistic, and if you don't have authority over a person or place, you can call down a blessing but you cannot act directly against the evil. One story that has remained with me for years, is about a Protestant group of spiritual warriors who were doing a deliverance ministry. There was a large penitentiary in their city, and every time they drove past it the group could feel all the evil in that place. One of them got the bright idea to start praying to have the demons leave that place. It didn't take long for them to see results. Within about 6 months, two of the couples got divorced, and one of the people came down with a disease that has resisted diagnosis or treatment all this time. The group didn't have authority over the penitentiary, so the demon in charge there let them know they really screwed up.
