I still believe that we are living the times of the end of an era, not the end of the world. And I feel at the end of this era, there will come a unified Church. It will be when all Christian Churches convert to Catholicism. That will be our Lady’s triumph. At the end of the world scenario is when the Jews will convert, and Christ will come in glory.

I'm thinking more along the lines of freemasonry, as that is more secretive than communism.

The article you posted from OnePeterFive is from Steve Skojec. I have posted about this in the past. I totally agree with the points Skojec makes. ACE was not referring to our present situation.

I'm thinking of buying John Bergsma's book about the Dead Sea Scrolls after watching a discussion about it from Franciscan University. Dr. Bergsma believes that St, John the Baptist may have been raised in what was a Jewish community of celibate monks near where the scrolls were found. There was also an Essene community in Jerusalem and they had their own gate into the holy city, very close to the location of the upper room where Jesus and the Apostles celebrated the Last Supper.

Listening to John Bergsma talking about the Essenes reminded me of Blessed Emmerich. I'm sure that I read in account of her visions that she said Jesus was an Essene Jew. The Dead Sea scrolls were discovered in 1947. Anne Catherine Emmerich lived two centuries before that. Does anyone know whether it was generally believed in Anne Catherine's time that Jesus and his cousin John were Essenes?

The Essenes were associated with Mount Carmel, I think. Sometimes when I pray the Luminous mystery of the Baptism of the Lord, I think about how John the Baptist was asking about Jesus. They were cousins, and I always assumed they grew up together.

I don't think this was common knowledge back then. Interesting about the timing of the discovery of the scrolls. One year before the "official" return of Jews to their homeland--which always had been said to mark the beginning of the end and the return of Christ.

    From Wikipedia:

According to Josephus[24] and Epiphanius,[25] Mount Carmel had been the stronghold of the Essenes that came from a place in Galilee named Nazareth; this Essene group are sometimes referred to as Nazareans, possibly akin to the Nazarenes, which followed the teachings of Jesus.[26]
Jesus was raised in Nazareth by Mary and Joseph. Dr. Bergsma suggests that John may have been in the care of the monks because his parents were old when he was born. They may have died when John was young. He also says that John probably took monastic vows which were very strict. The monks were celibate and one of their vows was that they wouldn't eat food prepared outside the monastery. Men who were expelled from the monastery had to eat whatever they could find in the wild. He believes that's what happened to John and would explain his being in the desert and eating insects.

He said that the Essenes believed in monogamous marriage for life and linked it to creation, similar to Jesus' teaching on marriage. They disagreed with the Pharisees on divorce. The monks had priestly rituals and celebrated thanksgiving (eucharistic) meals. John, being from the line of Aaron and Levi, could have been a priest. Jesus from the line of David.

Biden is reminding a lot of people of Neville Chamberlain at the moment....

SOUNDBITE: '...LONG TALK WITH HERR HITLER'
Upon his return to England, British Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain meets the press and gives a statement, "... afternoon I had a long talk with Herr Hitler. It was a frank talk, but it was a friendly one and I feel satisfied now that each of us fully understands what is in the mind of the other.\"

The Apple I went on sale in July 1976 at a price of US$666.66, because Wozniak "liked repeating digits" and because of a one-third markup on the $500 wholesale price. The first unit produced was used in a high school math class, and donated to Liza Loop's public-access computer center.

It is strange that Bl. Emmerich knew about it. I think she was illiterate, so she couldn't have read it. That it was revealed to her in a vision sounds more likely.

Yes, the timing is telling. There had been rumours about old documents or scrolls in the area but nobody looked into it, possibly because they were written in old Hebrew and whoever found them wouldn't have been able to read them. The Dead Sea Scrolls were jars full of documents - a treasure trove.

Theres Illuminati and satanic symbolism everywhere. The all seeing eye is everywhere. 666 is everywhere. Symbolism in many things that we don’t notice. That are a part of our everyday life.

For example, Apple refers to Eve biting into the fruit of the tree of knowledge. Or how many corporate symbols have an eye or pyramid? Look at the WEF logo. There’s a curve slicing the 3 o’s. Is that 666? What about the Google chrome icon? When you look at it closely you can make out 3 6’s. Gmail’s old icon looked like a symbol from freemasonry. Don’t even get me started with all the occult symbolism in TV, movies and music videos.

Were I not Christian I would think I’m just a paranoid schizophrenic. But the Book of Revelation is right. The kings of the earth conspire against God and God’s annointed. They serve the beast. For some reason 99% of people don’t notice. Or is it because they don’t want to notice? Only those who accept that Satan is not a fictional creature can acknowledge such evil. Satan uses deception to make people think the Bible is just a tall tale or mythology. They believe there is a world without God, and that it is the “real” world.

definitely Emmerich states Mary was Essene.....so naturally her cousin Elizabeth, John and Jesus would be Essene. I don't know the answer to the last part of your question.

Yes, the masonic symbolism is all over the place as well. Most have no idea what it represents. My small near by town has loads of it. What's interesting to me is that Masonry is basically dying out. They have 1/4 the membership in the US that they had at their height and yet the symbolism is commonplace.

I remember, I think it was Fr. Pacwa speaking about the man with the water that the apostles were to look for and that he had to have been an Essene and that they had their own gate and I think well.

Yes, they spoke about that. People always found it strange that Jesus told the Apostles to look for a man carrying water. It was usually women who carried water but a religious community of celibate males would have had to send a man to fetch the water. It was also an Esseme practice to have a place set aside to welcome strangers, which could explain the upper room being available. Some people believe that the upper room may have been owned by the mother of one of the Apostles. I think that Mark was mentioned. They also discussed the Last Supper having been celebrated earlier per Essene custom. I think it was Dr. Bergsma who said that so much happened to Jesus including the trials by Jews and Pilate it could have taken an extra day between the Last Supper and the Crucifixion.
