Covid in Scotland: Record number of cases as NHS faces 'perfect storm' • The number of new Covid cases reported in Scotland has hit another record high of 7,113. • The figure tops the previous high of 6,835 which was recorded on Friday. • It comes as Health Secretary Humza Yousaf warned the NHS was facing a "perfect storm" of pressure. • The latest government figures show a total of 507 people are in hospital with Covid and 52 are in intensive care. • First Minister Nicola Sturgeon tweeted: "We are seeing a rising curve of cases in Scotland. In the meantime, please take care." Three council areas - East and West Dunbartonshire and North Lanarkshire - now have weekly case rates above 1,000 per 100,000 of population. People under 40 are being urged to get a Covid jab to help ease the increasing strain on the NHS . Around two thirds of cases are in the under-40 group. About 30% of Covid-related hospital admissions in the last month were also from the same age bracket. Before the latest case numbers were released, Humza Yousaf told BBC Scotland the NHS was under "severe, severe pressure", particularly with A&E services and ambulance turnaround. Among 18 to 29-year-olds, only 74% have had a first dose of the vaccine. Progress remains slow, with that figure only rising by one percentage point in 10 days. The Scottish government is also urging people who have already had a first dose of vaccine "not to leave the job half done" and book an appointment or go to a drop-in clinic for their second dose. The health secretary said disinformation such as claims that the vaccine affects fertility or a belief that younger people do not get seriously ill may be a factor in the lower take-up rate among the younger age groups. He said the current high case rates "underline the fact that this virus is still a significant threat and the importance of getting vaccinated cannot be underestimated". The health secretary added: "Scotland's vaccination programme has been one of the fastest in the world, but it's clear there are some people - particularly aged under 40 - who have been offered a second appointment and for whatever reason have not yet attended. "Our message to you is clear. It's not too late to get your vaccine. "And it remains vital that you get both doses in order to give maximum protection against this virus." 'No-one is invincible' The health secretary said the NHS faced huge challenges across all departments while still dealing with 500 Covid patients in hospitals. He said: "What you are seeing in many local health board areas is that the A&E departments are almost at pre-Covid levels - and in some areas, above pre-Covid levels. "Add to that, just shy of 500 Covid patients across the country. And, of course, we've still got infection prevention control measures in place. "We've also had staff absence through illness and some taking annual leave, understandably. "All of that is a real perfect storm putting enormous pressure on our health service." Lucy Fleming, lead nurse with NHS Grampian's Ecmo life-support team said no age group "should consider themselves invincible to Covid-19". She said: "I am under 40. Does the Professor say what, if any, early treatment he recommends for people who test positive? Now that it is clear that the vaccine doesn't prevent infection, are the doctors prescribing anything other than paracetamol for people to take as soon as they receive a positive test? Nearly all my family are vaccinated. Some received the jab in the first or second stage of the roll out. If boosters will be required after 4 or 5 months, their immunity must be close to pre-vaccination levels by now. What are they to do if they are infected with the virus? I can understand that there are doctors who don't believe that ivermectin is an acceptable treatment. Have they tried any other treatments? If so, are some treatments better than others, and what are they? I can't believe that they have let two years lapse without making some attempt to find an effective early treatment. Have we not advanced at all from the advice of stay home and take paracetamol?

I have just received this extensive document on the Covid virus. It is a compilation of numerous articles, etc. on all of it. This was put together by a layperson and took quite some time to research. It is intended to inform you of the various aspects of all of the issues surrounding Covid. It amazes me that the medical community over all has not been advocating for therapies after a positive Covid test….or as a preventative! After I tested positive, my medical provider did not offer any advise / therapies for me except to say, get rest, stay hydrated, take cold remedies and if you can’t breath, then come to the hospital…..seriously? None of the numerous supplemental therapies or other drugs such as ivermectin ( and the others) are being offered by the medical community with the exception of online doctors or those with the guts to post these therapies on YouTube. Doctors have admitted that they have been intimidated to go against the “ party line” and generally are not recommending or prescribing life saving drug therapies. And yes, there are folks who have other health conditions that will die because of Covid because even if they did eventually get their hands on these drugs, it was too late for them. Early intervention is key. The vaccine loses it immunity properties sooner than though….as early as six months. Did the vax pushers know this when they jabbed everyone? Did those getting this expensive vaccine realize that the long term effects were yet unknown and it’s efficacy was not full protection…or that they would need another third jab…or forth, or fifth…or twice a year? Did they know that immunity with natural antibodies was much better and longer lasting than the “vaccine “? No, they didn’t. What else about this experimental vaccine don’t we still know? We do know that reports are surfacing that people are dying after getting it…how many? Geezz, how would we know? If the government didn’t tell us about all of these previous issues, we certainly can’t rely on them for honesty in reporting all of the negative side effects of the vaccine or all of the deaths because of it. Omission of the truth behind this vaccine from those who are pushing it and making billions is enough for me to not put my life or trust into their hands. These stated objections only address the questionable medical issues surrounding the vaccine. The moral issues related to how this vaccine was developed using fetal material is a whole other critical reason to object to this. The truth is beginning to trickle out and now the government is beginning to get heavy handed with vaccine mandates to push those with remaining objections into it now before the full truth is unveiled. The truth will eventually come out, but for too many, it will be too late. The negative side effects of this experimental vaccine will surface over time, but if you’ve had the vaccine, it’s possible that your time could be limited…..because…it is experimental and the guinea pigs are those vaccinated. This is a very difficult thing to accept as my family took this vaccine and are today regretting it. I pray, pray I’m wrong….

Dittos. My family too. I wish we were wrong but that’s a false hope. We can see the numerous deaths within days of the jab, and we’re already seeing numerous deaths from ADE - antibody dependent enhancement. The delta strain, even if it’s more easily spread, if far less virulent, but only for the unvaxxed. For the vaxxed, the numbers of hospitalized and dead are surpassing the proportion of those who died from the original alpha (Wuhan) strain. The media assertions that those hospitalized and dying are mostly unvaxxed is a lie, pure propaganda. This follows exactly what we’ve feared about ADE all along, plus what we’ve feared about such a narrowly targeted jab for the general population during a pandemic in the first place - that it would breed variants resistant to the vaxx itself but also triggering ADE. It is indeed going to be a “dark winter,” but not because of what the elites claimed. It’s the vaxxes themselves that are making it very dark indeed. If you doubt this, compare the number of deceased we are praying for at mass on Sundays to the number of deceased in recent times. The number is going up, and it’s due to the vaxx itself and ADE, NOT the Covid virus and it’s strains.

No. Many who got it did not even know they had natural immunity because they had no symptoms or symptoms so mild, they did not know they had already had Covid and had built up natural immunity. We’re they advised that getting a vaccine if they had a prior infection or thought they may have had Covid that getting a vaccine after a infection is actually dangerous? No….they just pushed their experimental vaccine on the public without this seriously critical information. This is a huge issue yet it is still being ignored. How many yet unknown deaths will result from this omission of medical information from those pushing everyone to get this experimental drug? It’s criminal.

I wish Jason, but my family member had severe adverse reactions to his second jab for days…he admitted that he was reluctant to tell me because I begged him not to get it. He had symptoms of Covid before he got the vax, but when he tried to get tested , the facility he went to said they couldn’t test him. Weeks later he got his first Moderna vax and later his second. If he had natural immunity, he never knew. No one even bothered to ask if he tested first…they were happy to just shoot him up. The doctor on this forum said that getting the vax with natural immunity within so many days( I can’t remember) could be dangerous. I’m sure there are numerous such victims.
