I wish I could see it. I see what looks like an angel with wings to the right and just above St. James Church, then to the far right, I see a face in the clouds. I'll keep looking.
Do not worry, perhaps it was only meant for me to see it as if Jesus was saying to me: "Do not worry, the cross you are wearing, I wear it together with you....". The Lord is Endless Good. But if somebody knows how I can put a Word picture in this forum then I will put an arrow on the picture so everybody sees it.

I have just been reading an anti-Medjugorje rant on a blog and it reminded me of this thread. I had hoped to have gathered lots of inspiring and interesting stuff here but maybe another reminder might encourage others to contribute. My first visit was with two friends, the second was with another friend and my brother. The third was with my brother, sister, aunt and niece. My sister, aunt and niece were there out of curiousity because both my brother and I had witnessed some strange phenomena and they hoped for the same. My brother and I, having seen 'signs and wonders' on previous visits were just interested in getting to Mass and praying on Krizevac and in the place of the apparitions and getting in lots of 'Rosary time'. The others were enjoying the social side and meeting new people but, after several days, were becoming impatient at seeing no 'signs'. They were also becoming impatient at hearing from those who did 'see things' and eventually my sister said to me that she was sure that our fellow pilgrims were 'fooling themselves' and that the place was nothing special, just a nice place to spend some time. I tried to get the ladies to become more spiritually involved without much success, they went to Mass each day and we went to see one of the visionaries. I was very disappointed that they felt that they had wasted their time in coming and that they didn't seem to believe in the apparitions and were actually sniggering among themselves about other pilgrims' reports of the sun miracle and other manifestations of Our Lady's presence. I 'did my thing' (praying all the time that they would at least not regret coming) and they did theirs and then, one evening I went into dinner and they were chatting excitedly with some of the other pilgrims. My aunt was in tears and turned to me and said," I have seen Our Lady, She smiled at me". Apparently, the three of them had been sitting in a cafe when the evening Rosary was being said and they were laughing at a group of Irish ladies who were pointing at the sun and weeping, convinced that they were 'putting it on', when my aunt said 'No, they're not crazy, look at our Lady in the sun', my sister and niece both looked and didn't see Our Lady but did see a spectacular 'sun dance' that went on throughout the saying of the Rosary. After that experience, they spent their time either in the Church or praying on Krizevac, no more sniggering and three renewed Catholics. Deo Gratias.
Steve D, These spirits in the trees, what do they resemble? The reason why I ask is that my youngest daughter and I were resting in our hammock at night about 3 years ago on two occassions she witnessed an orb looking thing that was moving around in the tree and then she said it just sat on the limb and asked me if I could see it! I could not see it. I kept looking and all, so I dismissed it . Then a second time she saw it again. I told her maybe it was an owl or something, she said no, it was not an owl and explained it was round like a ball of light . Another evening, it was the three of us resting on the hammock again and I asked her if she could see anything and she didn't but she was describing this "entity" or whatever, the three of us got spooked and could not get out of the hammock fast enough and darted for the door. WE have never sat out there again near the fruitless pear tree on the hammock. My mother has two spirits in her home. At first she just had one, it is very large and heavy, on occassion she got angered with it for keeping her awake as it walks around on her bed and sits there beside her as well. One night she started kicking the bed and yelled for it to leave her alone...it got underneath the bed and started raising the bed up and banging..she has had the priest out, he said he could not feel evil, he blessed her home, the yards etc. She prays the rosary every single day and she claims it is getting lighter in feeling. It always lets her know it is present. Now she has a younger smaller spirit. Her brother and sistern law came to visit and and were highly skeptical of this ghost. WEll one evening the ghost pulled my aunts covers off and pushed my uncle off the bed the same night. They still think otherwise, refuse to accept there is indeed a ghost. My oldest sister went and spent the night slept with my mother to see if this was real, it is..she said she could feel the spirit herself walking around at the foot of the bed. It left one Christmas but came back.
I am bad...so this is going on for a year and my son had this voice changer, I just had learned from my daughter how to call anynomously ...(keep in mind my dad and oldest sister were big prangesters, always scaring us growing up, my sister nearly killed my brother one evening for he went into shock for she dressed up as an old man and painted her face white.)( he literlly crawled up the hot water heater doorand turned completley white !) Anyway, I got the voice changer and hid in the back part of the house away from my kids, called my siblings and talked into the phone with the voice changer, and then I hung up and ..worse..I called them all twice and again. I waited to hear from my family all morning..nothing..then I emailed my sister and said, I got the strangest call last night and it sounded paranormal..she immediately emailed me back and told me , she did tooo!!! I emailed all of my siblings and told them the same thing..they were terrified, it gets worse..in one day they are telling the world that this evil spirit has located them and is calling, going through electricity blah, blah... I wait one whole day, then I call them all one after another and tell them it was me and what I did..my youngest sister wanted to kill me..my brother was driving and he laughed so hard he nearly wrecked, my oldest sister was so mad, she refused to talk to me for a year!
It might be well worth getting some Masses said for a special intention. This could well be a soul that is asking for prayers..
These spirits..the young one taps on her leg and sometimes makes a knocking sound on walls. She prays the rosary several times a day and goes to adoration every Friday. I guess it is ..they need her prayers. She has grown acustomed to them, as for myself, I fear them and for awhile did not allow my younger children to go over there much and especially not stay the night. She says they are not evil but she does want them to leave. She and her sisters have tried everything, prayers, and even burned sage, a priest... I am reluctant to tell anyone about this, I told a priest years ago and he said that the church does not recognize them but more and more people are claiming having spirits around. At first she thought it might be my dad, he passed 8 years ago, never went to church. We do not know and it is not all that uncommon I hear today. AS she says it feels lighter and lighter and now it arrives at 6 am instead of 3-4 am
It is well worth having Masses said. This will soon be evident if the problem goes away or persists. Padre Pio had souls visit him etc. I have read a book by others who have ministries for the Holy Souls.. It could well be that it is because your family are people of prayer they have this problem. If they are not evil then no, blessings etc will not get rid of them. They will love the blessings. I think a few Masses will ease this problem to be honest.. Though... you might get more arriving for the Masses Ha Ha Ha.. But don't tell your family members that.
That probably is the case and the same with the heavy spirit of awaitwithjoy's story - that one is clearly getting what he needs, since he is lighter. Prayers and Masses.
Oh that would be just great..more souls, she does well, I would not be surprised at all if she even has 3 now..I was the last one to know about it. She knew I would keep her grandchildren away. And right she was for awhile, I just blessed them before they went . I will tell her, she will do what she wants, she is a stubborn soul, hmm wonder where i got that as well. I found someone that is a ghost buster and she refused to have them come and try to get it out. She said she is sticking with what the priest said, not an evil soul. Are they called holy souls? It could be my dad and he probalby invited someone to join him. Near his death he asked for a specific priest to bury him. My uncle told my mother last month, my dads brother, he was here recently for a funeral. He said he had surgery and my dad appeared to him and asked him if he was ready to come home? He flipped out and never told a soul until recently, he told my mother. Isn't that strange?
It sounds like it is souls knocking for prayers. I guess so little pray today, not like it used to be, that they are coming and asking for themselves. This is yet another of God's mercies. For them and for us. For them to seek out prayer, and for us all to be sure that life doesn't end here.
The knocking means they are asking her to pray ..wow, I will tell her or have the mass said myself. I thought they talked to people and asked them to pray to get them out of purgatory. She has never mentioned any talking or inquiries made. I rarely ask her about them anymore. I find it strange for her to know how big they are..okay, I will pay for the masses. Bless her heart, I could not handle it, well maybe I could if I had to I guess. I am afraid for my kids to bring anything home from there for it might attach! I guess i can relax now.
Usually, they are not scary. I had an incident. Well two funnily enough. One was in a dream, except in the dream I was aware that I wasn't in a dream if that makes sense. She was sitting in my room. A woman, funnily enough, one of the ones who used to give me trouble where I lived. After I moved, she died in a car crash. Well, a week after the car crash. The car crash itself she walked away from, seemingly unharmed. She turned up in my bedroom. I was asleep, was like a dream as I was sleeping, but was aware that it wasn't a dream. I was talking to her. Well, she didn't respond at first. I kept saying, it wasn't the crash that killed you, it was those lumps on your head. She didn't want to talk about this. I wouldn't shush though, I was surprised at this woman who had died and who had given me trouble in life turning up in my bedroom! She looked much more at peace. She came to thank me for the prayers. This only lasted a few seconds.. Another one was outside the Church, his suit was brown. Looked brand new, except it was very dated. I was walking out of the Church. He stopped me to ask me to pray for his intentions. His humility really struck me. I thought I don't need to know your name, God knows who you are. As I was thinking this, he said.. My name is Michael. It appeared that he walked away.. a few steps, but then when I looked back he was gone. His humility struck me so much that I even wondered if it was St Michael for a time.. Still not 100%. But a priest told me this sounded like a soul, and that indeed they are not scary. They just look a bit out of place. I haven't seen him since. Father said the prayers were enough then or he would have been back. At the time, my daughter was missing. I was spending at least 2-3 hours in the Church daily sitting before The Blessed Sacrament, praying. It was all I had the strength for. I was offering up my sufferings at this time too. I got the feeling that this was why I was being asked for prayer. I had another few 'little experiences' beautiful ones around this time. However, I needed much consolation around this time, so another of God's mercies. It is possible that the ones in your mother's house are so obvious and loud because you are all so 'deaf' lol
Oh my...I think I will not pray as much as you do..just kidding, since I cannot hear and my husband enters a room I always let out a yelp! He gets mad at me for that little scream I make...but it always startles me since I have read all these stories of the devil, the wolves and ghost, spirits etc. I am always looking behind my back when I am not lost in thought in my little world. He has asked me several times, just what are you thinking about now..LOL So what did that lady do to you? And you prayed for as she was your enemy? And that man that was in a suit from a different time!? Amazing. It must be dreadful when your daughter was missing...my best friend in fact two of them ended up with adult schizphrenia and the onset was in our senior year. It was a living nightmare for their parents..always missing. My husband and all the brother n; laws do not believe there are spirits in her house. So I told my husband to go stay the night with her and see for yourself! Count me out, I do not need proof ! LOL..yes we all cannot hear, my mother could but now she can't..due to old age. Now she gets it. So many of her cousins can't hear either so it runs in both families that might be why all my siblings are hearing impaired. My youngest daughter just told me that my mom does indeed pray for these spirits. My son is afraid..but my daughter said they have never bothered her. Oh I just remembered one time..I had just got out of the shower and went into the bedroom at my parents and I was looking in my drawer for pj's I felt a presence and lo and behold a man was standing at the window just peering in!!! I hit the floor running.crawling and pulled my mother off of her bed..grabbed the phone and the police could not understand me..horrible feeling indeed. My mother had to talk to them instead...ghost or human..probably human
ha ha .. I didn't realize you were deaf. My hearing is awful. I can't tell where a sound is coming from and I cannot hear if two people are talking at the same time, or the tv is on I cannot hear it if others talking in the room etc.. I meant deaf to their cries lol... Blessed Salt is very good if ever you are concerned.
Oh I had to leave my last home, We were harrassed/terrorized endless as they didn't like catholics. The woman I mentioned above got involved, but before then she was always throwing her weight around. I would pray for her regularly..
