I tend to rely on Mary but find it difficult discovering jesus. I think I need a miracle I had a connection with him before but cant find it again.
I had been going through some very dry times, so I decided a few years ago to start to try to learn as much about Jesus as possible in a new direction like some formal theology teaching. I love the author Frank Sheed so just started with his book Theology for Beginners. Was wonderful and really started to comprehend more about what God revealed to His Church about Himself. As Mother Angelica once said " you can't love someone you don't know". We already know in our hearts that Jesus loves us, so maybe sometimes we have to be the ones to pursue Him.
Mary is not a substitute for Jesus, Peter, and she above all knows it. When you pray the Rosary, ask her to lead you to Jesus. Mysteries especially helpful for this are any of the joyful mysteries, the Wedding feast at Cana, the Institution of the Holy Eucharist, and the Resurrection! My humble opinion.
Maybe you can find a quiet time at a Church or chapel and sit in front of the Tabernacle and talk to Jesus. Lay it out to Him. I’ve also liked this prayer of Padre Pio, that I say after Communion. You may want to use it too. In any case, you are in my prayers. There is no doubt He has not abandoned you. He loves you more than you know. Let me recognize You as Your disciples did at the breaking of bread, so that the Eucharistic Communion be the light which disperses the darkness, the force which sustains me, the unique joy of my heart. Through mary to jesus.i think st louis de montfort said when it comes to mary it can never be too much she leads you to her son in the the quickest and surest route,and we can never love her as much as jesus did.the rosary,the rosary,the rosary. And do a holy hour as much as you can he is there looking at you all you have to do is look back at him!!
Keep saying the Rosary. If you say it even when in this state of spiritual darkness then you are on the right path. Prayer is an act of the will as well as an act of love.
May I recommend the 7 sorrows rosary. It is spectacular. I've been saying it daily for about 10 years or so. To those that recite it daily our lady offers actual promises in this life and the next. Look these promises up. They're wonderous. Absolutely wonderous.

Thank you I must read up on it. As far as I recall there are many different forms of the Rosary. I got hooked on the Traditional big one I am sorry I did not try more now.
I have had you on my daily prayer list for a long time. I have been wondering about you and if you had found a vocation. Seek the Holy Face, it sounds like you are doing that. Persevere and you will be blessed. It says "Be not afraid" 365 times in the bible, once for every day of the year. You will get through this, you are not alone.
Sanctus, I will be praying for you. You have lots of wonderful suggestions here. I pray the Rosary everyday and I often pray it while I am driving but when I am not doing that I listen to a station called KLOVE. It is a Christian station and although I believe that it is Protestant or mostly so, I find the music to be very uplifting. You may want to try listening to it and see if it helps you.
