Hi all , Use to be a regular here. Recently I've given up completely on my faith..I know damn well we are in end of days and it's like I don't care ( but deep down I do). Ive fallen in to many mortal sin recently.. worst of my life, reached lows I have never reached before. I suffer from addiction ( music and obsessive thoughts ). I have an addiction to " redoing " my life in my head - a life where I am respected and popular . ( I am autistic and I have been bullied in every school , college, workplace and friendship group I've been in) my autism went undiagnosed for many years and needless to say I'm bitter they i was made fun of so much for a disability. I've stopped going to mass. I've repeatedly asked saints for help. I feel like it's too late all together as I feel as though we are in the three years of judgement that is stated in Daniel 12. I feel as though if I return to confession it won't be valid as we are in the judgement period, that I will fall back into my addiction or I will fall into despair to a severe point. I'm lost. I really need a miracle
I will be praying for you Padrepiofan. I'm so sorry that you have been bullied so much and by some people that you thought were friends. Sometimes people don't realize how harsh they are being and unfortunately some people are just downright cruel. It's not easy but remember that God loves you and he is always with you. If you can turn to Him with a repentant heart he will forgive you but I think that you need to forgive yourself first. You may also need the help of a support group to help you, maybe your parish/pastor can recommend one. You may be able to email someone in your parish about this. Prayers.+ Edited to add: We all need to also forgive those who have hurt us.
I hope this does not sound like bs , but you are exactly in the best place. You have courageously identified and shared your cross and your weaknesses . This is exactly who Christ came for- the weak, the broken , those who are lost. Remember he always leaves the 99 Sheep to find the one Lost one. I can’t tell you exactly what “to do” other than open your heart to him. And know he loves you no matter your past. In fact, maybe your past has led you to Hear him calling you. He always calls the weakest. He never picks tge si called best—- prayers for you. Peace
Padre Pio fan, you didn’t choose that name by accident. I will pray for Saint Pio to take you under his care for his constant intercession on your behalf. Ask Saint Pio if you can be his spiritual child. I’m sorry that you have suffered so much. Please don’t give up on yourself. Remember our Lord Jesus died for you. And! Our Blessed Mother Mary loves you so much. Take her hand and let her lead your closer to her Son. God Bless you sweet friend.
…I do recall your name on here, me being one who reads various posts far more than I actually post. …Your post has not fallen on deaf ears. There is a Creator, we’re all here for a relatively short span of time, we do somehow get through things and every bit of suffering is temporary. This life is a test, and passing it can get real messy. If you are alive on this Earth it is never too late for confession. So keep trying. Don’t go one day at a time, or even one hour. Just start with one minute at a time. And fill empty times each day with prayer, inspirational reading, novenas, sitting in church, EWTN, you name it. Otherwise you leave yourself open to more negative thoughts. I speak (type) as one who is trying, just like you. Also, devote more and more time doing for others. It’s good for them, good for you and fills the time with something positive. I’m not preaching, it’s just what I’ve learned. Prayers your way, immediately.
Padrepio fan I will pray for you in union with everyone else in this forum. These are times that truly try our souls. I have friends who feel like giving up. Its so human to reach that low point but please please go to confession. Of course you will be forgiven!!! The devil would like you to think its too late but Jesus says (to many saints) it is never too late while there is one breath of life left. Turn to Him and give Him your pain--all if it going back to childhood. Unite it to His pain. In the eternal "now" of heaven that pain can and will be used to console Jesus and convert poor sinners. As hard as your cross is still unite it to His. Life is short. Eternity is long. You will be storing up so much merit and atoning for so much sin in the world by offering Him this heavy cross. DONT GIVE UP. JESUS LOVES YOU. And He is calling to you. Get to confession and the Holy Eucharist as fast as you can. God bless you. Please keep checking in.
Sorry to hear, Padre Pio Fan. I will keep a Holy Hour for you. Cling to your Rosary and our Blessed Mother, She will take care of you. Pray and wear the Rosary if possible, it will ward of all evil thoughts of despair and despondency the devil wants to tempt you with. Go to confession when you can. Don't listen to Satan's lies that confession will be invalid. Confession will be validly dispensed until the end of time, because the Gates of Hell NEVER Prevail. When you wake up each morning say Good Morning to Jesus and tell Him you love Him. It's as simple as that. Try that and see what happens.
It sounds like you're in the grip of despair, Padrepiofan. Repentance is key, but you also must begin to speak God's truth to yourself in order to wage battle with the foe. One way to do this is to assemble a string of Scripture verses to repeat to yourself. You have not given up, though you've fallen into mortal sin. What have you said that implies that? I offered the glorious mysteries today for you PadrePioFan. I prayed youe being by the tomb where Jesus was laid only to find it was empty! Jesus’ Resurrection gives us holy Hope after the darkness.

Wow, what can I say? You are at the bottom of the barrel in despair. You said you want to be popular, well give that up. It's really not a lofty goal, better to be popular with God. And where to find him? I would escape the world for awhile. Is it possible to go on a retreat somewhere to just sort it all out? Getting closer to nature is getting closer to God. Let go and Let God as they say. I like that you are showing such great humility, that is such a gift. Persevere, your prayers will be answered. Sometimes it takes awhile and will come in the oddest ways that you will not believe it. You are not abandoned, just be sure of that. I will pray for you. God loves you more that you could fathom.
Don't give up. We are all sinners. Go to confession & Pray the rosary And if you commit the same sin again, ask God to be merciful. But do not give up.
Padrepiofan, I just prayed a Rosary for your intentions. Hang in there, you’re not alone. There will always be some rough spots, periods of dryness, and lots of trials and crosses to bear along the way, but that is all part of our faith journey.
