I understand, but I just wanted to point out that when I posted verses from this version of the bible they did not contain inconsistencies with Catholic doctrine. I had read on wikipedia that the author of this version in its original form advocated the inclusion of the 7 deuterocanonical books, which exposes a huge contradiction in the Protestant milieu; as well as Luther advocating baptismal regeneration and his daughters (sects) denying even the necessity of baptism for salvation.
Incredible. I could listen to Fr. Blount for hours, you can feel the Holy Spirit moving through him. My beloved grandfather was also James Edward.
I should like to point out St. Hildegard's prophecy of the convergence of feasts" “When the Feast of St. Mark (April 25) shall fall on Easter, the Feast of St. Anthony (June 13) on Pentecost, and that of St. John (June 24th) on Corpus Christi, the whole world shall cry, Woe!” Also, I recall reading an article that linked Pope Leo's vision with Job, in that the trials of Job took place at two different times. (Of course I can't find the article now.) Because of this, the author speculated that the 100 years would be split into two separate times, one of 70 years and the other of 30 years.
I strongly recommend the book "Why Catholic Bibles Are Bigger", where the author delves into the controversies regarding the Deuterocanon. It dates back to St. Jerome's translation of the Bible into Latin, when he stated he didn't believe the Deuterocanon belonged in the regular canon of Scripture.
Good post. I made my First Holy Communion on Feast of Corpus Christi which in 1963 was on the old calendar. That feast fell on a Thursday as I recall in 1963. Now the Feast of Corpus Christi is still a movable feast but it falls on a Sunday. Don’t know if it makes any difference. I also read the same article about the prophecy of Pope Leo XIII. I do not recall the name of it.
70 years remember-me the period of the Babylonian captivity of Israel can we have something analogous to this in the Church?
Not sure if a link to this video was posted before, apologies if it was. This thread came to mind today. The cost of furnace oil is thru the roof in these parts. It seems some areas are considering closing churches except for Sunday Mass and funerals. Father's interpretation of what he saw seems to fit in with what may be the next "blackout"....
It's possible. Remember that in biblical times, a generation was about 30 years, so we're talking about 2 periods, one of two-and-a-half generations; and the other one generation. These are important because in most of the other cultures around Israel, it was the father's job to pass on the cultural knowledge and heritage. That's why the captors would kill the young men but keep alive the boys who hadn't reached puberty and the men old enough to have grey in their hair. After a generation had passed (40 years), the people would have become integrated with the conquering people -- they would remember none of their old cultural heritage. The Hebrews, though, had their language and cultural heritage passed on through the elders of the people. This way, by having the elders teach the young to read and write, they kept their culture and their relationship with God alive.
I saw the video elsewhere on this site. I thought his interpretation was the global lock down in 2020, followed by a power black out or lockdown imposed for environmental reasons, followed by the 3 Days.
When was this recorded?! I see it was posted this past May. Mother Mary is in the White House!? Did Biden actually have the White House excorcized??
According to evangelical Pastor Paul Begley, First Lady Melania Trump demanded that the White House be exorcised and cleared of any pagan or demonic items from the Obama and Clinton years before she moved in. Report: Melania Trump Ordered Exorcism Of White House Pastor Begley made the remarks on the Feb. 2 edition of “Weekend Vigilante,” hosted by Sheila Zilinsky. “The First Lady, in that five hours when the Obamas and the Trumps went down to the Capitol and Trump was being sworn in as the 45th president of the United States,” Begley claimed, “Melania Trump said to her husband – she said, ‘I’m not going to go into that White House unless it has been completely exorcised.’” So, Begley says, “They cleansed the White House. They had people in there anointing it with oil and praying everywhere.” It wasn’t confirmed until fairly recently that Melania is Catholic. It’s a fairly common practice within Catholicism to have a new home blessed by a priest, especially if there’s concern that anything unholy may be in or have occurred in the home or on the property in the past. Clearly, Melania was concerned – and for good reason. No. Donald Trump did. And then Melania turned one of the rooms into a chapel for Mass to be celebrated.
I went to a Mass in a neighboring county last year and everyone held votive lights. I was so disappointed. I do know there are some parishes that do more in a traditional vein. This was in Maryland.
