Listen and do what you can. If you have $-denominated or Pound-denominated monies, try to shift to metals. Pay attention to the last 10 minutes especially.

She believes things come down by June. She offers facts!

I think they have been doing just that, for years now. Ever see the ads by companies saying that they will buy broken jewelry, old watches, etc etc. And usually, they're in town for maybe 2-3 days. I always thought this was an odd business to be into ~

I used to fret over such things. Now I don't. Maybe I am being foolish but I don't think we can outrun the world system. We are in God's Hands.

Central banks all over have been buying up gold. Their getting ready for absorbing crypto currencies as they prepare to switch to a universal currency.

Ok, but didn’t they already do this with FDR? If this war in Ukraine escalates won’t oil go sky high? And wouldn’t that help the petro dollar? I’m playing devils advocate here. I’m just not sure what to believe or do.

The history of gold as the fallback currency is well established. I think there has been some manipulation in the last couple of years to hold down its price, but as currencies collapse (i.e. the dollar) gold is bound to rise. My thoughts.

The difference today versus the past is that oil world wide was fundamentally controlled by the US and UK. Now, there are many other nations which produce it, refine it and export it and can undermine the petro dollar and destabilize the market if they choose to.
Japan was controlled by this resource prior to WWII, the US supplied 80% of its oil and there were no other countries which could fill the gap created by the embargoes that went into place due to its aggression in Asia-Pacific.
The world is not so black and white today. Now that oil dollars are no longer able to keep a iron grip on global production and trade the global elites have come up with carbon credits and "saving the planet."
They hope to convert the global currency to instead rely on carbon credits and in turn retain control over trade and world commerce.
The problem IMO is that there are several very resource rich and powerful nuclear armed countries which want no part in it and see it for what it is. A shell game.
Precious metals are a store of wealth which has remained relatively stable and as the woman said in her interview will retain it's value when other forms of currency collapse. The problem with them is they are not very easy to trade, they are hard to transport in large amounts, they are a serious security issue if anyone knows you keep them etc.
I'd love to know what her plan is if the Govt decides to confiscate all personally owned stores of gold and silver again like under FDR. Hold? That's all well and good if you can afford to do so. In 1933 the Fed paid well under market value for gold and then a year later it shot back up in price. The problem being it was a year later. Long enough to lose your bank account savings, 401k value, house and livelihood in an economic crash.
My great grandfather went through this. He lost his life savings.

Yes, Don, I'm sure the government has the ability to determine how much net gold anyone has in their possession simply by reviewing the activity of appropriate providers. So I'm sure that pressure will be provided. I can't say what anyone would do. If they criminalized unauthorized possession and showed records that parallel anyone's purchases, authorities would probably come up with legal search warrants.

I used to get worked up and worried about all this and I must admit I'm not fully detached either. It's all beyond my control, sure I'll do the things I can and pray we have some ability to retire eventually but in the end, Trusting in Jesus is the only thing of us can really do. Jesus said they won't get as far as they'd like. I pray that is true.

When FDR made owning gold in the 30's illegal for the public via executive order it was not until Nixon took us off the gold standard in 1971 that it was lifted. The law made holding gold punishable by 10 years in prison plus a fine of twice the amount of gold held. The exchange rate that the Govt gave for those who obeyed the decree was under the going rate as well.
So my point being that for us little guys trying to use precious metals as a wedge against devaluation of currency is not all they make it out to be at Kitco who of course wants to sell us gold and silver. If the Govt decides to eliminate it they can easily and the president has this power by executive order.
If such an E.O. were to be put in place again I personally think it would make transactions very risky. I have no doubt that should we see a massive devaluation and change to another form of currency our benevolent officials will certainly not overlook this option.

Well Don, it is very possible, but then, I'm sure the elite have a fair amount of gold set aside themselves!

Lord may we treasure above all else the wealth of Your Kingdom!
