Everyone I really need prayers, I’m really struggling, just when it finally looked like I was finally going forward, I’ve now found myself stuck in place where no matter what I do, I can’t make any advancements spiritually or otherwise.

Asking Jesus to hold you close to His most Sacred Heart, and to give you the grace and strength to persevere in this difficult moment.

Sending up a prayer RW. I know its hard to believe this but God knows what He is doing. These obstacles will work out to the best possible solution. Truly. "Trust in Lord with all your heart and lean not to your own understanding. Acknowledge Him in all your ways and He will direct your paths." Surrender to His Holy Will and trust Him. Give thanks and trust Him. He knows what He is doing. Be at peace.

Praying for you! Persevere, trust in the Lord and know that God ultimately causes the spiritual advancement of anyone in his own mysterious way:
"What then is Apollos? What is Paul? Servants through whom you came to believe, as the Lord assigned to each. I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the growth. So neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but only God who gives the growth." (1 Cor 3: 5-7).

its ok to not make advances as long as you are not going backwards. keeping balance and position is more difficult than steady forward! feel happy about it!

Praying for you! You seem like a very passionate person, with lots of hope and plans. I am much like that but now am older and have realized that my plans are not necessarily God's plans, no matter how good they seem. I have had to slow down and just live day to day. I play the "grateful" game almost every day now: I'm grateful for life itself! especially that I can spend time with God. I'm grateful for my friends and family, for my warm bed, for food, for the beauty of nature. It really does help bring us back to a happy life, even when things seem to go very wrong. Things go wrong A LOT in a life, so it's not about how to make things go right, but how to live in a grateful and joyous state no matter what happens :)

An excellent disposition, but not so easy to embrace. Jesus, help us to trust in You and your timing.

Romans 12: 11 Never flag in zeal, be aglow with the Spirit, serve the Lord. 12 Rejoice in your hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.

Definitely takes discipline but worth working on. My devastation in life started at age 24 when my fiance was killed in a car accident. My whole world was gone and for the first time, I had to accept that here was something I could not fix somehow. I was so angry and despairing even after the grief got better in a few years just because I refused to accept things and had been pretty spoiled in life. It took a lot of prayer to get to a point where I no longer was "Lord" of my life and plans. Lots of hard times, deaths of loved ones, my own devastating illness and disability to deal with, loss of my marriage, and after all this I've realized that I am HAPPY. I really enjoy what I have now, and sometimes it is a lot and seems like a dream life, but I now know that this is not where happiness and true joy comes from at all. But yes can really be a struggle to give up on our own dreams that sometimes are just not going to happen.

Great post. Lots of wisdom coming from growth in the Lord.
Garth Brooks has a song called, “Thank God for unanswered prayers”. :)
At this stage of my life, looking back, I’m very grateful, too. The Lord knows what is best for us. Sometimes we have to wait on the Lord.
I’m truly glad I didn’t receive the answers to some of my prayers. I wanted a government job because I was tired of teaching. I took hours of tests and submitted an application. I DID NOT RECEIVE ONE SINGLE CALL OR JOB OFFER. Years later, I was able to retire from my teaching job before I was too old to enjoy retirement. I would have had to start over if I had gotten that job.(y)

Don't look inwards, look upwards, towards the Lord. Especially as He endures His Passion. I believe this will bring great healing. It has for me. :)

I suppose very often our own dreams must die so that God's dream may start.

One thing is common in all the lives of the Saints and that is the Cross. The Greater the Crosses, the Greater the Saint.

This may appear discouraging but the Cross is the source of all our joy. After the Cross; Easter.
