While this is logical, I don't see Russia stopping to let the West build up for another conflict. I also do not see the West capitulating.

@Dusica Is Slovakia really as tense as the news is making it sound? A lot of coverage makes the US sound that way but it's overblown so I was wondering if the situation is similar.
The beauty of this forum is that there are people from all corners of our planet, so you can find out first hand some modern trends, unfortunately some bad ones too. I had a lecture a few hours ago via Zoom, very good people, young people my age.... And now, after a short break, something was mentioned about the Eurovision Song Contest, and one of them deals with music, and then she mentioned the horoscope, then bioenergy, cards, and after that I turned off the sound because I didn't want to listen because everyone started talking about it which shocked me. In the end, it is against God and the activities of the Catholic Church and has a touch of the demonic. I go to youtube, it throws me some exercises and then behind I just see various displays of yoga, meditation with those ancient signs, some cards and fortune-telling... You open the newspaper, the same thing, see who some frog, crocodile or some animal predicted will win the Eurovision Song Contest or some other competition. And then this astrologer predicts the end of the war and so on in a circle... They show everything under a cute and naive curiosity that later captures you and takes you to a very dangerous area In our country, the priests warn a lot, especially the believers, that they cannot serve God and then engage in such things that are dangerous for the soul. I know a lot of testimonies where people got into situations that drove them crazy, many were pulled out of the abyss by faith, and it started as a nice party. I'm not sure I've ever even heard a priest talk about the occult from the pulpit in person...most sermons I've heard here in the USA, unless they're at the Institute of Christ the King (where I go to Latin Mass sometimes) are pretty much your standard liberal stuff..."include everyone" and "Jesus challenges us to love deeper by welcoming the immigrant", etc. It's the west coast too, so that probably doesn't help.
Astrology is certainly widespread...I've been seeing a lot of witchcraft books in Barnes and Noble and that's a fairly recent phenomenon. There used to be a couple books but there are racks devoted to the stuff now.
I was looking online today for exercises to help pain and it was mostly yoga related. I gave up. Our little town at one time had a psychic reader place. Our pastor spoke out against going there on at least two occasions. The shop is closed now. Thank God. But yes, the Ten Commandments are broken brazenly at every turn.
