Boy am i sorry to hear that! Their given mission is caring & looking after pilgrims. The more hotels/lodging is good. Throughout the 80s, people were camping everywhere when villagers' home filled up. Last month during the Youth Festival, they received 75+k pilgrims & 728 priests. With temps reach well over 100-120F, they need modern hotels w AC!! I know a number of people who wish they could move there.

Wow. Well, unfortunately, I don't see how Rome can rule a definitive yes when the apparitions are still ongoing and none of the secrets have occurred yet.
I've been to medjugorje and Rome for close to three week backpacking when it reached 110 to 120 no air conditioner and lived in an apartment for summer months no ac over 100 degrees.people need to remind themselves there doing penance. Remember when none of our churches had ac or heat for thousands of years. We've forgotten about mortifying the soul. Imagine AC on mt athos lol they would laugh. I understand if they need it if there older but under 40 or 50s we should be fine. I grew up walking 1-6 miles a day in the 109s all summer and rollerblading in Aug close to 110 in Boston 16 miles.
Yes, if you’re young it’s easy, but I feel bad for elderly or those that suffer from respiratory illnesses. I have asthma and wouldn’t last long. Haha Gods will be done
I visited an Orthodox Monastery in the Troodos Mountains in Cyprus years ago. The painted Icons on the walls were awe-inspiring, people from all over the world came to visit this very famous place. But in my wanderings I happened to wander into a place were I don't think I was supposed to go a corridor that contained the he monks cell ( this was off season and myself and a friend were the only visitors). Anyway not knowing were I was I opened a door and saw the interior of a cell and my jaw dropped open. Thick plush carpets and rugs, magnificent leather furniture and wooden table and a king size USA type refrigerator that reached to the ceiling. But the monastery itself was gorgeous. But my impression was that the monks were wealthy and living in High Luxury, not so much five star but ten star.

I think it is fair to say, most lodging now DOES have AC. Also, my travel ministry Mor-Tours will only go during late Fall or Spring when crowds & temps are lower. Course the time of low crowds may be about to change. Our lodging is always air-conditioned. We stay with the same family.
