You're right that he couldn't be as bad as Biden. As a Catholic, Biden should know better. Nevertheless, natural law is written on every human heart so, even 'though money appears to be Trump's god, he doesn't get a pass. He fawned over that genocidal maniac, Netanyahu, and declared himself Israel's greatest friend as he promised yet another billion dollars in military aid. Now he is threatening to release hell on Israel's victims, knowing full well that Israel has already breached the terms of the agreement many times over. Those are the words and deeds of a monster.

In regard to the "chosen people", if that description is restricted to bloodline, how can anyone determine who is or isn't "chosen"? That region has been invaded so many times. Centuries of Muslim domination saw many forced conversions. The first Christians were Jews, so there could be very many "pure blood" Christians. The same could probably be said of Muslims who are descended from Jews who were forced converts to Islam. If "chosen" means having the correct DNA, denying that Jesus is the Christ, keeping the Mosaic law and believing that the Torah is the inspired word of God, that rules out Netanyahu and probably a majority of Jews not just in Israel but Jews everywhere.

I wonder do those genocidal so-called Christians realise that one of the spiritual leaders of the Christian Zionist movement, Rabbi Kook, believed that there is a greater difference between the spiritual souls of Jews and gentiles than between the biological souls of humans and animals because between the latter there is only a quantitative difference but between the former there exists a qualitative, essential difference. A not so well informed Jew might interpret that to mean that all gentiles are Amalek.

 

There are heroes. The ordinary Palestinians who do their best to survive among the wanton destruction and wholesale slaughter committed by people claiming to be acting for God. I took it that AED meant that here were no heroes among the political and military players that instigated and maintain the conflict and that certainly applies to both sides. One, of course, ought not extend such unfortunate facts to apply to entire nations.

There are many heroes in Gaza, most particularly the medical personnel who struggled to do their duty in the most appalling of circumstances, including being specifically targetted by the genociders.

Yes, I understand what AED meant and she has always shown true Christian compassion for the victims of the evil driven by the super race ideology.

We all, however, can fall for the deception that some people are children of a lesser God because they're not quite like us. I've certainly been so deceived by believing media reports that all Israeli attacks on the Palestinians are reprisals when more often than not the opposite has been the case. Only the Israelis have the right to defend themselves is accepted as the eleventh Commandment in Western Christianity. Those Muslims bring it on themselves seems to be the acceptable line of thought. That Christian Palestinians are also targets of the Zionists disturbs Western Christians merely serves to reinforce the Muslim view that Christians share the Zionist belief that Muslims are sub-human. We should be ashamed that we are shocked at Christians being killed by Israeli snipers while accepting carpet bombing of Muslims.

There are degrees of evil, measured by the gravity of the offence and the level of knowledge and consent of the perpetrator. Jesus summed up the Law as love of God and love of neighbour. Jesus didn't invent a new Law and he was answering a question put to him by Jews, so that summary applies to Jews as well as Christians. So who is more Satanic? A Muslim outside the Law who resorts to violence to free his people from oppression? A Jew under the Law who commits oppression, ethnic cleansing and genocide? A baptised Christian who supports the oppression, ethnic cleansing and genocide? Surely the answer must be obvious to any Cristian, yet if you read through this and other threads there are attempts to put them all on the same level. Yes, there are great heroic doctors willing to give their lives to save others. There are also very many others without medical skills who do what they can to help their neighbours. They're all heroes.

Some of the rabbis who opposed Kook's line that the Zionists were unknowingly doing God's will by hastening the arrival of the Messiah believed that Jewish nationalism was incompatible with the Jewish faith. Attempting to precipitate the end was sinful to them. Jews who share that belief are a tiny minority now, even among Orthodox Jews. Zionism infiltrated and gradually changed Jewish orthodoxy just as it has infiltrated and changed Christianity in the West, especially in the US. It's an unhealthy brand of nationalism, similar to the type that took hold in 1930's Germany.
