Padre Pio restores Joey’s sense of smell ! Feb. 18, 1963- Joey Lomangino :“When I had my injury in 1947, I not only lost my eyes but I lost my sense of smell. So when I knelt down to receive Padre Pio’s blessing, and got the fragrance of roses that came from the wounds in his hands, I was startled and went against the wall with my arms up to protect myself; I didn’t know what it was. Padre Pio pulled down my hand and said in Italian, “Joey, don’t be afraid.” He then touched me on the bridge of my nose and my sense of smell was restored to me after being without it from the day of my accident in June 1947, which was 16 years.” For those of you who don't know about Joey's accident, here a quick recap. On June 27 of 1947, Joey Lomangino, age 16, was struck in the face by the exploding steel rim of a truck tire he was trying to fill using a defective air pressure gauge. The explosion knocked him flat, shattering his blue eyes and crushing the bones around his eye sockets and forehead. Cold steel severed his optic and olfactory nerves and lodged against his frontal cortex. Knocked unconscious, Joey would lay in a hospital bed for two weeks in a coma on the edge of death. On the Feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, July 16 of 1947, by a true miracle he awoke to a darkness that could not be lifted. On that fateful day, Joey came to learn he had lost his eyesight and sense of smell. His life had been spared but the doctors pronounced him totally and incurably blind.
Strange weight of Visionaries in ecstasy. The Garabandal Visionaries could lift one another up with the greatest of ease while in ecstasy. On the other hand, two grown men were not able to lift a single child when in ecstasy. In one of the photographs, Conchita can be seen, before the church door, lifting Mary Loli up to give something to the Virgin to be kissed.
"WHAT HAPPENS IF THE POPE DIES, HOW DOES IT EFFECT THE "POPE TO MOSCOW " PROPHECY. As we know from the Bible and modern day prophecies, its not always literal,OR TAKES MORE TIME THAN WE EXPECTED. I find it most odd that the Blessed Mother would indicate that this era that brings the Warning & Miracle " after" the 4 popes ,(Paul VI, John Paul I, John Paul II, Benedict XVI ) didnt specifically point to the 5th, as most of the world assumed. Now there are two possibilities. #1. Pope Francis could get well, and still go to Moscow for several different reasons ( a peace mission, or talk of a "unification" of the churches with Patriarch Kirill ). #2 For reasons know to her , Mary didn't include Pope Francis in the " group of 4 " for reasons I'd rather not say , but wanted to indicate it will happen "after" the 4 (but not neceessarily) the 5th pope. I'm sure as it happens, the truth will be known in time, and all will make perfect sense,in God's time.
There is a third option: that Benedict XVI is the Pope who goes to Moscow and comes back. He is the prophesied "Holy Pope." How this will happen is shrouded in mystery. Just don't be surprised when this happens. You can see this hinted at in St. Pius X's prophecy: Pope St. Pius X prophecy: “I have seen one of my successors, of the same name [Joseph], who was fleeing over the bodies of his brethren. He will take refuge in some hiding place; but after a brief respite, he will die a cruel death. Respect for God has disappeared from the human heart. They wish to efface even God’s memory. This perversity is nothing less than the beginning of the last days of the world.” Also, in St. John Bosco's prophecy. Read the part about Our Lady "shall vest the Venerable Old Man with all his former garments." The "Venerable Old Man" is another name for the Pope. She will vest him with his "former garments." This means that he is a person who previously wore those "former garments." So it is a Pope who is being "restored" to his throne by Our Lady. It is not a brand new Pope. So who might them Pope be but Pope Benedict XVI? St. John Bosco FIRST PROPHECY (English SDB official translation) This was communicated on February 12, 1870 to the Holy Father. God alone is almighty, all-knowing, all-seeing. God has neither past nor future; everything is present to Him, everything at a single point of time. Nothing eludes God. No person, no place is distant from Him. In His infinite mercy and for His glory He alone can unveil the future to man. On the vigil of the Epiphany of this year, 1870, all material things in my room disappeared, and I found myself contemplating supernatural matters. It was only a matter of an instant, but I saw a great deal. I always thought that the Venerable Old Man was Benedict XVI, but with his death, it appears not. Are you suggesting a resurrection miracle of Benedict XVI? Isn't the "antichrist" supposed to resurrect from the dead? Perhaps we have longer to wait. Does the era of Peace come and then the "antichrist"? Would that be the time of the Great Warrior and the Venerable Old Man? Perhaps we have a long time to wait? And yes I realize I've opened it up for you to go deeper. On my head.
Yes I'd like an explanation. ( so would others too ). Since the blessed Mother already included him in the 4 Popes who must pass before "the end of the times", she didnt indicate that he would be returning .
1. I suggest that we keep an open mind to a third option. Appearances can be deceiving. The "Venerable Old Man" is definitely a reference to "a Pope." And it will be "a Pope" who will be recognized by Catholics as their "former" head. This narrows it down quite a bit. 2. I think the type of "miracle" is not something we can be certain of at this point. But there are other contemporary prophecies that suggest that God will send his "envoy" at a time of dire need. The word "envoy" is similar in meaning to "vicar." In Greek, the word for "envoy" is "presbys," which means "old man." So this shows the kind of word play found in the prophecies. Prophecies give suggestive clues about the most important elements. And those other prophecies state that the appearance of this "envoy" will be AFTER the bad guy has been "revealed." This sequence, according to that prophecy is to prevent mixing up the good guy and the bad guy, presumably because both will have some similar characteristics. 3. Read the following prophecy by St. John Bosco and decide for yourself on the sequence of certain events. Remember these prophecies are using exaggerated and figurative language. But clearly "the dark night" and "the storm" come BEFORE the period of peace, when "the blazing sun shone": SECOND PROPHECY (English SDB official translation) May 24, 1873 - June 24, 1873 “It was a dark night, and men could no longer find their way back to their own countries. Suddenly a most brilliant light shone in the sky, illuminating their way as at high noon. Jacinta Points Out the Priest’s Presence Among the people who went up one day with us to Garabandal was a Military Air Force Chaplain. He was wearing only the insignias of his rank of Captain and he asked the priests present not to tell the girls that he was also a priest. His desire was carefully respected. That night Jacinta fell into ecstasy and the pastor, Father Valentín, as was his custom, asked her how many priests were present. The girl gave the correct number of those in cassocks and added, “And one of those who go by plane.
