It is shameful to use a false dichotomy as you did in this post, especially when an exorcism is also needed in the Kremlin, which is recruiting soldiers to fight while taking God's name in vain and blasphemously turning this war into a false moral crusade against the West.

What false dichotomy? You accused me of spreading Russian propaganda. To the best of my knowledge I have never read a Russian newspaper or watched a Russian TV channel and I don't know a single Russian. Most if not all of the sources that I post here are, to the best of my knowledge, respected, well-informed and Western. I have watched the occasional video of Andrei Martyanov who is a Russisn living in the US but his style is so irksome and overbearing that I find it hard to tolerate a full video.

Now, here's a link to a Reuters article (certainly not Russian) quoting the oh-so-mainstream Washington Post's report about Ukraine sending about 150 drone and 20 drone operators to aid the Islamist invasion of Syria. I'm sure the Syrian Christians are very grateful to Christian Ukraine: https://www.reuters.com/world/ukrai...th-drones-washington-post-reports-2024-12-11/

    https://kyivindependent.com/ukraine...-years-of-russian-interference-zelensky-says/

Now, pardon me while I puke. That's it. Fling all the insults you like at me. I'm finished trying to have a civilised conversation with you.

False Dichotomy – Using the wrongdoing of Western leadership to absolve Russia of guilt in the start of this war. I do believe the West has long been drawing divine punishment upon itself, and I have made that clear many times. However, that does not automatically eliminate Russia's guilt.

As for the persecution of Christians in Syria, it only reinforces the importance of paying attention to firsthand accounts from Christians in the country regarding the government. If the bishops in Ukraine have long made it clear who Vladimir Putin is, we should be more attentive to their descriptions. They live a harsh reality in their country, just as many already considered the testimony of Christians in Syria sufficient reason to fear Assad’s fall.

So, you are free to stop having a civilized conversation with me or repeat as many times as you like that I have "swallowed Western propaganda"—which, to me, is already a slanderous insult. But I will always stand with the Catholics in Ukraine and Russia who do not have the freedom that you and I have to express our opinions on the matter.

Finally, if you can find any post of mine supporting military intervention in Syria, please share it here. Thank you.

Luan and Whatever. We see things through very different lenses. Many many things I have learned about international politics I have learned from this group. Our news media rarely reports what is going on in other countries and then it is always biased and not factual. If the folks in the west really knew what our government was doing they would be appalled. There are so many factions behind the scenes we know nothing about and much of it is used for indoctrination. One thing I like about Pres Trump is he is exposing what is really happening. Just like the meeting with Zelensky…we got a chance to see real politics at work. And DOGE exposing so much in political spending. Our world is so corrupt and it has always been that way. Finger pointing just points out the worst of the worst. It seems to me there is one faction of humanity that wants peace and one that wants blood. Many times I have learned about things from this list and I will share it with my husband. I will say, “Did you know this is going on in this country or that country?” We just don’t know. We can only pray for victims, for peace, to our Good God and hope that a great Godly reset will happen soon.

Well, this thread is headed Trump and Vance Humiliated Zelensky". Free speech being permitted on this forum, there's nothing to stop anyone opening a thread headed "The many sins of Putin". Forum membership would probably grow exponentially with people who have the inside knowledge on all those sins. I don't recall anyone here calling him St. Vlad.

Trump is no saint either but he's less of a warmonger than his predecessors. Lots of money passes through the war laundry and, unlike many politicians, it appears that Trump wasn't a beneficiary of the Ukraine laundry. He wasn't in the big club during his first term of office so hasn't as much to lose if he closes the Ukraine branch of the laundry. Ukraine isn't the only branch so it remains to be seen what he does with the other branches. All the indications are that he won't close all the branches. That may be because he recognises that his power is limited or it may be that he's fine with some wars depending on American public opinion.

Irrespective of Trump's character, there's no doubt that he inherited a terrible mess. How he tackles it could affect the whole world for generations to come. It's a jigsaw puzzle and we have no hope of seeing the full picture if we direct all our attention on a couple of pieces in one corner.

There are financial difficulties everywhere, even in China: The Financial Times has an interview with a Chinese economist: https://www.ft.com/content/c7bf9049-c0c7-4deb-a535-d18996432211 . She was optimistic but that's hardly surprising, Other, non-Chinese, experts are quite pessimistic about China's economy. The interviewer made a rather snide remark at the end that Trump doesn't understand anything about economics. Here's a link to some info about Stephen Miran, the economist President Trump has chosen to head the Council of Economic Advisers: https://financialpost.com/news/stephen-miran-economist-trump-economic-advisory-team

Nothing to do with finances, here's something that surprised me:

I watched that and found it unsettling. The loss of his daughter in a terrorist attack was tragic, but Professor Dugin has had a very strange relationship with his religion: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aleksandr_Dugin

I thought that Putin packed him off to China at some stage to get him out of the way. Larry Johnson seems to have introduced Dugin to Judge Napolitano. I did wonder whether the Judge had done some background research before posting the interview online.

    What surprised you about it?
Waiting for your answer, I'll just comment on the video ^^

The whole truth about JFK or Epstein is not published or cannot be published because publication would discredit powers that are still active today.
To put it in a nutshell - with Epstein it is an open secret, with 9/11 too, and very likely with JFK too - the Mossad and/or other Israeli intelligence services/forces would be exposed.
And I can honestly understand to some extent the fear of such a disclosure when you think about the consequences it would have at all levels.
From the personal level to the global community.

Good points. I’m glad you brought them up. I myself knew very little about Dugin.

    But he makes interesting points:

The resurgence of Christianity in Russia after being violently suppressed for 70 years is nothing short of miraculous.

    Who could’ve predicted it!!??

“Salvation will come from the east”

“Russia is the nation that will come to glorify God the most “

Am I or is anyone here on the forum claiming that Putin is the second coming or that the conversion of Russia is perfect and complete?

    Probably not.

But the undeniable resurgence of Christianity and Christian values is certainly a step in the right direction.

Ukraine carried out the largest drone attack since the start of the war on Russia and Moscow, killing 3 civilians and wounding 9. And this at a time when peace talks are underway in Riyadh. Hundreds of drones have been shot down with anti-aircraft missiles.

Every time there is talk of peace and negotiations begin, such excesses occur. The last time the Ukrainians attacked their nuclear power plant was when Lavrov and Rubio were talking. Before that, when peaceful solutions were mentioned, Biden and the EU encouraged the Ukrainians and gave them long-range missiles to attack Russia.

    https://www.zerohedge.com/geopoliti...attack-moscow-kills-three-civilians-injures-9

This reminds me of when I go to confession, sometimes before, and often after confession, the greatest temptations and you always have a problem or a person who leads you to sin.

So here, every time peace and negotiations are mentioned, the intensity increases and someone deliberately escalates on the Ukrainian side so that negotiations do not take place and the war continues, of course in the background are those responsible whose names are not mentioned.

Simply the EU (except Hungary) as well as the group of people who sponsor Biden do not want any peace agreements even if all Ukrainians die.

A lot will come to light when the war stops and when Ukrainians get the opportunity to go out and vote (if they do not rig the elections again).

What surprised me was Tucker naming Tom Cotton. He looked uncomfortable afterwards.

Will be interesting to see if any journalists raise it with Cotton.

When Putin actually takes actions that serve as a foundation for peace and grants at least a minimal level of religious freedom to the Catholic Church—on par with what Russian Orthodox churches enjoy in the West—then I will consider that Russia is beginning to convert. Finally, stopping the repetition of the Western narrative that banning abortion increases maternal mortality is also part of this.

Ukraine agreed with the US on a 30-day truce. The US has promised to continue providing immediate military assistance and intelligence sharing.

Russia did not participate in these talks, but according to the statements of some people from the top, they believe that Ukraine will use this period to arm and regroup, and they believe that the Ukrainian government is illegal because they did not promise anything about holding elections.

It is not clear to me the negotiations where both sides, Ukraine and Russia, with a mediator are not participating, at least if there was talk of a temporary truce.

This way, once Russia agrees, Ukraine does not agree. Then the Ukrainians agree, the Russians don't agree, and the war continues...
