If he did in fact faint, and the college of cardinals all saw it. Denying it in the media wont change this fact, or change what ever impact it has on their votes. As well, if it didn't happen, why spread the rumor for the same reasons? Even if all the eligible cardinals aren't there yet they will talk in Conclave. I am in agreement with you, I believe it did happen. I think there are probably some people who are heavily invested in Parolin taking the Papacy, and they don't want their investors backing out. So they try to cover it up. I know on polymarket, every time another Cardinal takes over 1st position, suddenly more money comes in for Parolin bringing him back to 1st position. I am thinking something like an agreement with China might have been made where Parolin will get the papacy and go easy on China. In exchange China will grant a better deal with EU trade leaders, or something like this. Morality monetized. Mark 8:36 For what shall it profit a man, if he gain the whole world, and suffer the loss of his soul? The more I look at scripture, the more it speaks to me internally that while Jesus was talking to everyone, he was directly singling out the rulers of our day with lines like this.
This does not sound good at all for the future. St. Michael appeared to Manuela Strack and urged her to get people to participate in a 48-hour continuous Rosary marathon for the intention of the Conclave saying "Darkness oppresses the Church".
It looks like me that the , 'Fix', is already in at the Conclave in a very bad way and heaven is trying to, 'Unfix', it. Very grave times indeed. The Conclave starts on the 7th so it looks to me like these evil people are planning to hit the start post running full speed , have an ultra quick conclave and place one of their demonic own as Pope in double quick time.Shock and awe. Very bad news. Wicked , evil people. "Saint Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle. Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil; May God rebuke him, we humbly pray; And do thou, O Prince of the Heavenly Host, by the power of God, thrust into hell Satan and all evil spirits who wander through the world for the ruin of souls. Amen."
Satan will know his time frame and know that he doesn't have much time left. It could be that he has to put all his eggs in one basket and has no more time to act subtly. The fact that, despite Satan's pronounced influence on the youth, a new Catholic religiousness seems to be developing there, and that the internet, which is 99% filled with bad content, is causing more and more people to search for the truth, will make him desperate. It could be a rough time ahead, but it could also mean that the distance to the Warning becomes shorter.
May 8th is an old Feast day of St. Michael, having to do with Gargano ~ https://catholiccompany.com/getfed/did-you-know-that-st-michael-has-a-feast-day-in-may/ From Butlers: Reflection.--St. Michael is not only the protector of the Church, but of every faithful soul. He defeated the devil by humility: we are enlisted in the same warfare. His arms were humility and ardent love of God: the same must be our weapons. We ought to regard this archangel as our leader under God: and, courageously resisting the devil in all his assaults, to cry out, Who can be compared to God?
It reminds me of that make of break moment in the Lord of the Rings: 'Let this be the hour': 'The Sun is Rising!'
Yay, mount the horse, rosary in outstretched hand, drive away the darkness. (since i can't keep up with the prayer stints of others here, better stay in the second row )
Matthew 21:43-44 I tell you, the Kingdom of God will be taken away from you and given to a nation that will produce the proper fruit. Anyone who stumbles over that stone will be broken to pieces, and it will crush anyone it falls on.”
Does anyone believe the conclave will last at least until Saturday, May 10? Perhaps the progressive bloc will split, dividing its support between Zuppi and Parolin, and the same could happen with the conservatives, splitting between Erdő and Sarah."
I believe it will be one of, if not the, longest Conclave in history. It will go on and on and on and on...it will be the cause of the greatest gossip, even scandal. https://www.nbcbayarea.com/news/national-international/papal-conclave-history-facts/3859107/ The longest conclave in history In the 13th century, it took almost three years — 1,006 days to be exact — to choose Pope Clement IV's successor, making it the longest conclave in the Catholic Church's history. It's also where the term conclave comes from — "under lock and key," because the cardinals who were meeting in Viterbo, north of Rome, took so long the town's frustrated citizens locked them in the room. The secret vote that elected Pope Gregory X lasted from November 1268 to September 1271. It was the first example of a papal election by “compromise,” after a long struggle between supporters of two main geopolitical m
Perhaps it's a human weakness to think this way, but I believe conservatives should already be urgently rallying around Cardinal Erdő's candidacy at this moment as a sign of unity. It seems to me that the highly intelligent Cardinal Pell thought this way shortly before he died.
I have a feeling that they will elect someone hardly anyone had ever heard of. . A real. real, real Dark Horse.
If the pope is elected on May 13, as many of us at least suppose, it will likely take an average of 18 or 19 ballots for the selection to be concluded. The first two votes in the morning fall within that range, assuming the cardinals take a break on Sunday. Since the election of John Paul I, the first appearance of the pope has alternated between day and night; following that pattern, the next pope should appear on the balcony before dusk .
It may be an interesting exercise to read the Gospel from the Holy Mass for the days that could encompass the conclave. Some that particularly catch my attention are those of May 12 and 13. May 12 Gospel, John 10:1-10 1 'In all truth I tell you, anyone who does not enter the sheepfold through the gate, but climbs in some other way, is a thief and a bandit. 2 He who enters through the gate is the shepherd of the flock; 3 the gatekeeper lets him in, the sheep hear his voice, one by one he calls his own sheep and leads them out. 4 When he has brought out all those that are his, he goes ahead of them, and the sheep follow because they know his voice. 5 They will never follow a stranger, but will run away from him because they do not recognise the voice of strangers.' 6 Jesus told them this parable but they failed to understand what he was saying to them. 7 So Jesus spoke to them again: In all truth I tell you, I am the gate of the sheepfold. 8 All who have come before me are thieves and bandits, but the sheep took no notice of them. 9 I am the gate. Anyone who enters through me will be safe: such a one will go in and out and will find pasture. 10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I have come so that they may have life and have it to the full. May 13 Gospel, John 10:22-30 22 It was the time of the feast of Dedication in Jerusalem. It was winter, 23 and Jesus was in the Temple walking up and down in the Portico of Solomon. 24 The Jews gathered round him and said, 'How much longer are you going to keep us in suspense? If you are the Christ, tell us openly.' 25 Jesus replied: I have told you, but you do not believe. The works I do in my Father's name are my witness; 26 but you do not believe, because you are no sheep of mine. 27 The sheep that belong to me listen to my voice; I know them and they follow me. 28 I give them eternal life; they will never be lost and no one will ever steal them from my hand. 29 The Father, for what he has given me, is greater than anyone, and no one can steal anything from the Father's hand. 30 The Father and I are one.
I like your thinking, Luan. There is a short list of solid Cardinals. Discern among the five or so, narrow it down, and gain support for the one or two best prospects; all in the context of prayer to the Holy Spirit and for the Maternal protection of Our Lady! O Mary conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to you!
Very interesting, I am glad that you posted these Gospels. I have had a strong call to St. John since early 2025. In fact I chose my most recent avatar because John was beside Jesus at the Last Supper, and always so close to Him. Although very different, there are similarities between the Last Supper, and the conclave. Both are significant meetings with profound consequences. The Last Supper when Our Lord gave us the Eucharist, and the conclave ensuring the continuity of papal leadership.
I just read an interview with our Cardinal Puljić from Bosnia and Herzegovina (one of the two cardinals from there), where Croats, live along with Muslims and Orthodox Christians, form one of the ethnic groups. He is the oldest ordained cardinal who will participate in the conclave, ordained by Pope John Paul II back in 1994. The second oldest ordained cardinal is also a Croat — Bozanić — along with Turkson from Ghana, Barbarin from France, and Erdő from Hungary, all of whom were ordained by Pope John Paul II in October 2003. These five are the last ones chosen by John Paul II. Cardinal Puljić participated in the conclaves in 2005 and 2013. Here’s what he now said about the upcoming conclave: “There’s a bit of whispering now: we elected a Jesuit, and now it’s the Franciscans’ turn.” “I must admit that we don’t know each other well anymore. In the past, we knew each other much better because the Pope used to summon us cardinals twice a year. However, under the current Pope, we haven’t been invited even once. So personally, I only know those I once worked with, and I know very little about the new ones. We will probably get to know each other through the contact we establish, and from that, we’ll see what kind of profiles these people have.” It is interesting how the last Pope chose the name Francis, even though he is a Jesuit, as he wanted to open up more to the world, much like the Franciscans do through poverty and care for the abandoned. Now, there are whispers among the cardinals that the next Pope might be a Franciscan, and I wouldn’t be surprised if he places more focus on liturgy, a return to the Latin Mass, and a revival of tradition.
From Msgr Rossetti. Continued fervent and urgent prayers for all the Cardinals. https://www.catholicexorcism.org/profile/sjrossetti/profile [Conclave] Satan will certainly marshal his strongest forces and attempt to pervert the conclave. It is a pivotal moment for the Church and he will try to sow conflict, spiritual pride, disobedience to God, distrust, power-mongering, anger, wilfullness, and more. Should we be worried? Certainly the Cardinal electors will be discussing potential candidates and I know that some Cardinals will be actively advocating for their personal choice. There are very human elements to the process. But skeptics posit that the Church is all politics and full of power-grabbing dynamics. Will the Holy Spirit have anything to say? In a recent exorcism, I looked squarely at the manifesting demons and firmly recited the lines in the Rite: "Quia quanto tardius exis, tanto magis tibi supplicium crescit" ("The longer you delay, the heavier your punishment.") At final judgment, Satan and his minions will not only be judged for their original disobedience, but also for every evil action down through the ages, including torturing human beings who are possessed. The demon responded,"I don't care!" I then said, "You are terrified of the final judgment, as well you should be!" The demons said nothing. I added, "Time is short." Evil is, by its very nature, self-defeating. As I remind the demons, everything they do redounds to their own destruction and the furthering of God's Kingdom. This thought enrages Satan and his demons. No matter what he does, he has been and will be defeated. Conversely, God takes up every moment and transforms it into the accomplishing of His will. Even the most despicable action ever committed, i.e. the murdering of the Son of God, was transformed into the moment of our salvation. Just when Satan thought he had "won," he suffered his definitive defeat. Regardless of what happens at the conclave, we Christians ought to have complete confidence that God will inexorably further his Kingdom. At the same time, I know some of the Cardinals who are attending and they are truly good, faith-filled men. They will pray and do their best to discern whom the Holy Spirit chooses to be our next pope. I recently sent an email to a Cardinal who is already in Rome and getting ready. I wrote: "May the Holy Spirit be with you...I send along my prayers." He immediately responded, "Keep those prayers coming!" We should all do the same. I recommend you say the following prayer to the Holy Spirit for the conclave: "Come Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of your faithful and enkindle in them the fire of your love. Send forth your Spirit and they shall be created. And You shall renew the face of the earth. Amen.
