Could there be an image of Our Lady of Fátima on a platform beside the Pope when he gives his first blessing, if he is elected on May 13?

Mario, there are an estimated 1.5 billion Catholics in the world. This implies nearly 7 billion aren't. And there are Catholic 'influencers' talking rubbish about the religion of beings on other planets. I think these people are living on another planet!

On the date Papa Frankie was born St Faustina had a curious entry in her diary:

Were We Given Prophetic Warnings About Pope Francis?

[IMG]It is not generally known that St. Faustina, known for her role in establishing the devotion to Divine Mercy, penned an unusual entry into her diary on December 17, 1936. Entry 823 is as follows.

“I have offered this day for priests. I have suffered more today than ever before, both interiorly and exteriorly. I did not know it was possible to suffer so much in one day. I tried to make a Holy Hour, in the course of which my spirit had a taste of the bitterness of the Garden of Gethsemane. I am fighting alone, supported by His arm, against all the difficulties that face me like unassailable walls. But I trust in the power of His name and I fear nothing.”

Note that Faustina that day was making reparation for priests, an offering that brought upon her the worst suffering she had ever endured. But too, on that bitter day of December 17, 1936, was born Jorge Mario Bergoglio, who would later reign as Pope Francis, the 266th pontiff of the Roman Catholic Church.

Could it be that Faustina that day was atoning for the many priests, bishops, and cardinals of the future who would be misled by Francis? But too, could it be that her mysterious torment signaled the arrival of a future anti-pope who would destroy the Faith in the name of “mercy?”

Yes, I am praying now for a Pope of whom I will not have to closely dissect or critique every paragraph he writes or position he expresses. But if a Pius X arrives upon the scene and cleans shop, so to speak, truth and clarity will be elevated. Such will bring joy to my heart! However, I suspect that unlike the general respect given to Veritatis Splendor in the 1990s, we may face a greater, more visible divide than what we even have now.

Understand the price that will be paid as a result. Purification, translated single-heartedness, has a twin named persecution in the eyes of the world.

    From today's first reading:

When the captain and the court officers had brought the apostles in
and made them stand before the Sanhedrin,
    the high priest questioned them,
"We gave you strict orders, did we not,
to stop teaching in that name?
Yet you have filled Jerusalem with your teaching
and want to bring this man's blood upon us."
But Peter and the apostles said in reply,
"We must obey God rather than men.
The God of our ancestors raised Jesus,
though you had him killed by hanging him on a tree.
God exalted him at his right hand as leader and savior
to grant Israel repentance and forgiveness of sins.
We are witnesses of these things,
as is the Holy Spirit whom God has given to those who obey him."

Still praying for the soul of the poor man.

Anyway, Pope Francis is dead now. The Dictator Pope can no longer dictate. His legacy is now outnumbered by 265 to one. I think his outrageous views have actually strengthened people's faith, overall. Those who went along with him had little faith, anyway, but I can imagine that there were many who were induced to think about things and this might have been salutary.

Yes, I think the constant talk among the laity about wanting clear teaching, and the clarification given by so many of the Truths of our Faith, reached audiences that never would have listened to a pope in the first place. The Catholic Faith has been very alive in the "square," as a defensive approach against Pope Francis, but also because of the extreme corruption in the world.

Yesterday I saw up-close (exhibited behind a protective glass) in a church, Francis's pectoral cross the one with shepard figure, as well as other items such as his bishop's cloak, papal seal\stamp, etc
The cathedral was only local county importance, not even province-wide, I was very surprised to see such important items there.

Some interesting messages re Pope Francis through Valentina in Sydney:
Extract :“Do not be upset—he is with Me. You should be joyous. He accomplished what he had to do on earth, and now he is with Me in Heaven.”
In the final anaysis, who are we to judge?

Of course, I do agree we should evaluate actions, not souls.
We live in a time of judgement by sensationalist media focusing on soundbytes quoted incompletely and out of context.

We must pray for discernment to the Holy Spirit.

I completely agree. EWTN used some of PF’s meditations for the rosaries they prayed for the repose of his soul. They were appropriate and lovely.

    The woman is deluded.

I read a few messages and laughed out loud when in one of them our Lord complained to her about plastic flowers being used in Church.

These are the ramblings of her pious mind and not the voice of Jesus.

There are saints in heaven who whilst they lived on earth never once heard the voice of Jesus. God rarely communicates audibly.

And Jesus reputedly speaks casually to this woman about the evil of plastic flowers in Church.

Common sense tells us that these are the personal thoughts of a deluded soul.

I admit I have had similar thoughts, particularly about her unusual familiarity with the Blessed Mother, nursing the child Jesus (eg 4/10/21) and God the Father (eg 10/5/08)
But there is a great wisdom beyond a traditional homebody.
There is a striking wisdom regarding irreverence at mass (eg clapping for the choir at mass [to God alone be the praise!](24/11/19), women’s dress (11/1/19) and excessive use of extraordinary ministers (26/10/19).
Talk of the power of the Rosary and Chaplet of DM and lament at Sacrilegious Communions and abortion cannot be messages from the devil.

She claims to be taken to Purgatory many times and to suffer for souls often. Bernadette and Josephite Powers, commented on the many references to celebrities in the beyond [eg Cardinal Pell (1/2/23) and even Princess Diana (23/7/17)] but, it seems to me, the Lord speaking of Mary Smith or John Dawes in Purgatory would have no relevance to the reader! A vision of Stephen Hawkins in the ‘deepest pit’ of Purgatory (28/10/18) speaks to me of hope in deathbed conversions of people much prayed for. Of course, we need not believe.

Comments on anybody, alive or dead, are always positive, never a criticism (unlike commentators on youtube or even in this forum). They do not denigrate anybody (even Pope Francis) but asks for prayer for public figures, even Queen Camilla.

As a traditionalist-thinker you would expect her to promote the TLM and FSSP. The ‘messages’ do not!

God communicates to whoever He wants, usually the most unexpected, as He wants, however He wants, for the benefit of different audiences! Nothing in her messages is of satan’s agenda!

Would you give your girlfriend plastic flowers? Like clapping for others in church, they are not "evil" but they are more for gratification than a gift to God or His Mother!

But at the same time, we don’t need a message to tell us most of these things, they’re obvious. The weirdness probably indicates a human origin. I remember, a bishop in the 70s once said that in basically every parish in his diocese there were people who thought themselves “seers”, but kept this to themselves (and their confessor). I think this is more common than we realize.

I wouldn't say the messages were from satan. They may well be interesting personal reflections from someone who believes God is speaking to them.

I don't believe God is speaking directly to this woman.
