But her previous predictions all panned out and there has been a serious uptick in seismic activity in the area in the last few days...so...I am glad I am not staying in Japan at the moment and I see lots and lots of people feel the same way. Yes, very much so. The weird thing with this prophecy is that I cannot find the Mother of Carlos speaking about this prophecy anywhere. However she hasn't refuted it. Also, it allegedly came out in 2010 which would have been when Carlos was still alive and not yet a venerable according to some sources. That being said, it says that all prophecy will be fulfilled. Daniel 9:24 Seventy weeks are shortened upon thy people, and upon thy holy city, that transgression may be finished, and sin may have an end, and iniquity may be abolished; and everlasting justice may be brought; and vision and prophecy may be fulfilled; and the saint of saints may be anointed. We are in a time where it is possible the 70 weeks of years is completed.
I'm a boomer and I research everything...as did my parents but back in my day we had Books...really good books. Not a million different opinions on the internet. Believe me, things are just starting to heat up.
I don't know that this is the case for most people. In 1920 only 20% of people lived in urban areas whereas in 2000 80% did. So most boomers are coming off of the farm and likely did not have access to really good books. I would also suggest that the mocking bird media was in play as well since at least 1950, so most people were getting propagandized even if they lived in an urban area with access to books. As well, no one in my circles knew all that much about spiritual warfare until Fr. Ripperger came around. This isn't a slight against boomers, it's just the context of how things were/are. One of the amazing things I find in the history of Marian apparitions is how quick authorities come in to shut things down if there is something they don't like. I imagine this is the case with everything. However now with the internet, everything is getting out.

I don't take it as a slight..my parents grew up in the city and also my family. Very Catholic and informed on every Catholic subject..every prophecy ... Also politically learned. We always knew not to believe everything we read ..to question things...not of God, that is, but of men. I'm so grateful to them for this.

I think in the US in the 50's there was a general respect for leaders--political and church. The so called media didn't yet exist. When the 60's hit it was very hard. Very divisive. The lies being fed us from JFK's death through the Viet Nam war were endemic. Discovering it rocked our world. Having said that the Boomers have much to answer for.
This is a really good point, there was more trust of authority generally, so people were far more easily misled. Which is totally normal and acceptable when existing in a high trust society. The timeline you give lines up with the implementation of "game theory" by the US in 1950. Game theory in reality should be named exploitation theory, where everything and anything is exploited to reach a desired outcome.
