The issue isn't one of indifferentism from my perspective. Primarily because people who are genuinely seeking the truth are currently doing so in the social media space. This is why we are seeing so many converting to Catholicism/Orthodoxy from Protestantism and Islam. However, in the wake of the weakness of our institutions, including the hierarchy of the Catholic church, Christians have put many of their differences aside to hold together. Much like Christendom did against the Islamic hordes.

Over the last few decades the left consolidated all the "minorities" in order to create a majority. Atheists, abortionists, Blacks, Latinos, muslims, lgbtq, feminists and so on. Even though these groups have very conflicting doctrines, those pulling the strings strictly defined the narrative, even if there was double think. Against this, Christians divided against each other, or worse aligning with the minority comprised majority, had no chance.

Has it occurred to you that the string pullers have taken control of both "right" and "left", assigning positions to each side? That's what I see and I'm seeing signs of it here. I've been accused on this forum of being anti-American, presumably because I'm anti-genocide and believe that the person who buys a genocide owns the genocide.

What version of Catholicism are they converting to? There is absolutely no doubt that what Tucker Carlson and the other TPUSA people were describing was Christian indifferentism. There are clips coming out now of President Trump telling the crowd at the funeral that he hates his opponents. The same crowd that had applauded Erika's forgiveness of Charlie's killer also applauded Trump's hatred.

If you are talking about the uni-party, but also the capture of both left and right, yes it has occurred to me. I think it has happened, but I also think there are two groups of string pullers. Zionists and Communists. Which is why you see LGBTQ environmentalists embedded with Muslims, all carrying Palestinian flags, shutting down roads in western nations out of protest. None of it makes sense, it only angers people, but it is happening. Yes Palestinians are getting genocided, no one likes it, but this is what happens after 60 years of violence from both sides. Netanyahu has decided to end it. The Palestinians are not innocent in this. The Israelis also are better positioned militarily, Hamas knew this in advance and continued on anyway. Israel was just looking for an excuse and Hamas gave it right into their hands. The US has it's share of responsibility absolutely, but such is war.

I don't trust authority for the most part, let alone a lot of media personalities. However there is a genuine grass roots conversion to Catholicism. Now Catholicism is vast currently, so take that for what it is worth. However when people do convert, it is mostly because they come up against something or somethings in their current denomination that is contradictory somewhere. Upon investigation they find the Catholic Churches position is correct and they shift over. Which is impressive given the current state of church authority. So when they start off, they don't know everything and have to learn.

As for applauding for the hate that Trump has, people are frustrated and want the tyranny of the left to end. They want a strong leader who will do this.

Dear Lord help us if this is the version of history and Christianity that's about to be visited upon us.

Just bear in mind that if a Palestinian child can be jailed for throwing a stone at an armed vehicle, some day that may be your child if you don't adhere to whatever becomes the acceptable version of Christianity.

Here's a good article explaining the reason we Catholics pray for our dead and the disservice we do them by canonising them at their funeral.

The sarcastic hyperbole in your post is rich, but there is a ring of truth to it. I honestly don't know what to tell you, everything is extremely messy right now. I would like it if everything was nice and perfect and everyone got along but life isn't like this. Certain peoples are getting increasingly bold and violent, and everyone is tired of it. Interpret the response to the death of Charlie Kirk how you want, but I see it as a representation of the culmination of peoples frustration/fatigue in general with degeneracy and being held hostage to it. If a new kind of Christianity comes out from all of this, where the different denominations get along, the degeneracy gets removed, and the differences of doctrine are settled in the battle field of debate, I am for it.

That's it in a nutshell. Politics are politics and the mighty are just politics and the mighty and Satan is Lord of this World.

The Kingdom of God is of the little ones.

It all reminds me of the Scripture:

Kirk wasn't perfect. I don't think he smirked, he was looking down at his computer so he might have been reading something else. I haven't followed him in years due to his diehard love of Trump but I admired him for his intelligence and his ability to debate and his calm. In his early years he was always so calm.

Anyway posting another perspective on the death penalty, something to consider:

    You're mistaking despondency for sarcasm.

You're glossing over a genocide, funded armed and supported in every way possible short of putting thousands of boots on the ground in the name of Jesus. To make matters worse, you're blaming the victims for what your country, supported by its allies and vassals has visited upon them.

Your solution to manipulated division of your own nation is Christian indifferentism proposed by an organisation which apparently has been funded by non-Christians. Freemasonry.

I omitted to post the link to the article about praying for the dead. I can't find that article now. This one will do just as well: https://catholicstand.com/praying-for-the-souls-of-the-dead-a-catholic-tradition/

Our Lady's apparition at Fatima is a favourite here. If Our Lady said that a child like Francisco needed to pray many rosaries, shouldn't that be a warning to all of us to be careful about downplaying the importance of omitting the need to pray for the dead?

I'm done with this topic lest anger does set in.

Perhaps I could be accused of blaming the victim, but you can't deny the fact that this was going to be an eventual outcome. Muslim Palestinians are not without blood on their hands, we only need to look at the intifada that took place, as well as suicide bombings. The seeds of blood shed from both sides were cast long ago for what is happening today. Recently, there have been a surge of calls for a world wide intifada by Muslims. This kind of mindset doesn't lead to peace, ever.

I don't understand why you think that when different Christian denominations get along it becomes indifferentism. What do you think exactly should be taking place? The March for Life for example has been an ecumenical event which helped to push back the grip of abortion. I only see good fruit coming from this. People are exactly where they are at and we cannot force Catholicism. So the milleiu of Christianity is happening. The US is not a predominately Catholic nation and it's a false expectation to be so.

I also don't understand why you keep suggesting that Charlie Kirk has been canonized by the US. I thought you were joking before, but I am beginning to believe that you actually believe it. I am not sure you understand how significant the 1st amendment of the constitution is to Americans. The reaction to the assassination of Charlie Kirk is more than a reaction to a man who was killed. This is a reaction from the entire history of the American people bursting forth, who have had enough of the oppression of degenerate evil. The assassination of Charlie Kirk is the final blow. America is in the process of waking up heavily and anyone in the way is going to find out. So you can look at this as some kind of weird glorification of a man who died, but it is the incorrect perspective. Charlie Kirk is an embodiment of what America stands for.

Have you spent much time in the US? Because it is worlds apart from the European mindset. I don't mean this in a mean or rude way either. There is a kind of freedom in the US that you don't understand until you have been there for some time. I say this as someone who lived in Europe for over a year. Attacks on this freedom in the US only encourages Americans to push further to protect their freedom.

I don't know what you mean by "this was going to be the eventual outcome". Muslim Palestinians didn't attack the US. They had an artificial State imposed on them contrary to promises made to them by the British Government. The Zionists had been committing ethnic cleansing long before WW11. The US punished them for Germany's sins and set the Zionists loose to terrorise them. Many Americans believe that Israel controls the US. Some people, myself included, believe that Israel is a US proxy - the unsinkable aircraft carrier in an oil rich reason. The US/Israel alliance is the biggest sponsor of terror in the world, the Palestinians being their favourite whipping boy. Here's David Patraeus heaping praise on Al Jolani and pretending he doesn't know how the head chopper managed to muster a force to effect the regime change the US and Israel wanted in Syria. Patraeus declares himself to be one of Al Jolani's biggest fans:

    Here's the BBC's account of Al Jolani's background: https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/c0q0w1g8zqvo

Nothing can ever erase the harm the US has done to the Palestinians and their neighbours in what the Zionists call Greater Israel. Between sanctions and wars, millions of innocent people have been murdered. If your Catholic faith can't help you feel some shame for your country's participation in this wholesale destruction of human life, at least try searching within yourself for some semblance of human decency and empathy with the victims. Trying to justify it only serves to place you in the same category as the Zionist savages. You can keep on pointing the finger at others: Muslims, Russians, Chinese, the list is endless for those who believe that Jesus said "go bomb all nations". When all else fails, you can blame the Pope (some are there already). In the end, looking in the mirror could be painful.

For those of you under the illusion that Erika Kirk is a practicing Catholic, go to 6.55 on this TPUSA video (it's the time stamped section "Conservative infighting about Israel". Andrew Kolvet, TPUSA's spokeman, tells the interviewer that he, a cradle Catholic, "converted to Christianity" and Erica followed the same path. Turns out that Charlie liked the Catholic Mass for the architecture because he didn't like worshipping in gyms. The interviewer confirms that Erika was asked whether they were converting after they had been seen at Mass, she responded "No. We just like attending sometimes."

So Erika is a lapsed Catholic which probably explains the political event/funeral. Kolvet believes that Charlie was a prophet. Ironic that people who have no problem aligning themselves with a movement that doesn't believe Catholics are Christian wouldn't want to be numbered with opponents of genocide because some of them are homosexual or Muslims. Better to avoid the high moral ground rather than be seen alongside sinners. Pro-life but not from the womb to the tomb.

What should you do? Try practicing what you profess to believe.

I've had a few visits to the US which I enjoyed. I'm sure that you enjoy lots of freedom and that a year in Europe made you a real expert. Wouldn't it be nice if you could put your hand on heart and say that you have brought freedom to the people in the lands annexed by Israel. Where next? Iran? Afghanistan again? Close your eyes and stick a pin in the atlas. The world's your oyster when might is right. We're all Amalek to Zionists.

I wish you well and this time I mean it when I say that I've had enough of this topic. It's turning my stomach.

I want your opinions on this interview. Jesus called out hypocrites and the brood of vipers. How is Charlie Kirk even that direct? Am I wrong in thinking this priest (respectfully!) might be mistaken here? Thoughts?

I think what gives the current communist bloc an even greater power of persuasion over Catholics is the fact that it comes dressed in the garments of Christianity and morality. I consider this a kind of messianism, a precursor of the reign of the Antichrist, expressed in all the devotion some Catholics have toward Putin, seeing him as a pragmatic and Christian leader—even if that means denying the Fifth Commandment at some level.

I even believe there is a historical parallel with the cry of the Jews who freed Barabbas, since they saw him as a symbolic leader in the fight against Roman oppression. Today, this is reinterpreted as the oppression Christians face under the laws of many Western countries, and many see Putin as the leader who would liberate them—whether through the economic construction of a new world order or through Russian imperialist rhetoric. In the latter case, at the very least, it would mean the convergence of all Catholic liturgy and catechesis into a symbol of propaganda and glorification of Russian nationalism, which often overlaps with an idolatrous cult of its own leaders—a clear and visible violation of the First Commandment, one so obvious that even the blind could see it.

I don’t expect to see Putin’s image being incensed at the altars, but what I’ve already seen so far, without any direct opposition from him, is very significant. As for Charlie Kirk, who is the main subject of this topic, I think he is far from being a saint, especially since he obviously held to certain errors of the Protestant faith. Still, I wonder what will happen when any sufficiently strong right-wing leader fears being targeted by an invisible hand every time he steps onto a stage.

This all became very sus to me the moment they said the 30-06 bullet was found in his bones in the neck. NO FREAKING WAY! Originally when I suggested it could be a 30-06, that was based on the shot and video at the time seeming it just grazed his jugular. Had a 30-06 hit straight on the neck, not to be gruesome but let's just say there would not be much left of what it hit. Ever see a 30-06 round video go through a watermelon? There isn't any watermelon left. Now the narrative is entry wound no exit of the bullet. It is not possible people. Not possible.
