Pope Francis; Divorce in the Church?

Marriages are assumed by the Church to be valid until proven otherwise. As Jesus said, what the Church binds on earth is bound in Heaven.....so until an annulment is declared, it would be a sin to get remarried, therefore also a sin to receive Communion in that state.

That is my understanding, anyway. I myself went through the annulment process and have since gotten married.

....And following on this line of thought, I have a VERY strong sense that this synod will be the synod that precedes the Warning (as Mari Loli said). That places the Warning AND the Miracle smack in the middle of the coming Tetrad of Blood Moons that are set to occur on Jewish feast days of:
    • Passover and Sukkot 2014
    • Passover and Sukkot 2015.
Here are the dates of the coming 4 blood red moons, I believe:
    1. April 15, 2014 Passover blood red moon
    2. October 8, 2014 Sukkot blood red moon
    3. April 4, 2015 Passover blood red moon
    4. September 28, 2015 Sukkot blood red moon.
It is rare for these to occur on these feasts. And usually signifies very significant events for the Jews.

It is thus likely that the Miracle is in April of 2015. (With the Warning probably around November 2014, unless the even year, odd year thing is nonsense, then not as clear it is confined to 2014). Then time for conversion and further mitigation of the coming chastisement.......possibly leading to something on October 2016 as the beginning of Jewish jubilee year of 5777 (<-i think this is correct, but maybe needs investigation).

I thought October 2017 is the beginning of the jubilee year?

I think the key point is to "strive for the narrow gate" and NOT sin. If in doubt ....DON'T. I had an apparition and Jesus told me that if I even applied for an annulment I would be in the state of adultry and would have no place with Him. He told me MANY Church annulments are NOT true, and the people would still be sent to hell. I actually argued with Him and said that He was supposed to honor what the Church binds or looses. Jesus told me He DOES honor it, but these people had adultry in their hearts! In stead of trying to save their marraiges for God's sake, and for the souls of their spouse, they chose to look for a different man or woman, and that is where the adultry came in, even before they actually re-married. So we all need to watch ourselves! He will not let us use an excuse that the Church said it was ok. We need to save ourselves, and NOT sin. My husband left when I was young and never came back. I dedicated my life to praying for him and getting closer to Christ. I will never lose my crown for ANY human, and never get myself attached to any human over God. Whatever happens in the Church, we still do NOT have to sin, even if someone says it's ok. It's never ok. Time is SO short everyone, please just make sure your hearts, minds, and actions are pure, and try to help those you love come closer to God. If you have been married at all, and it disolves for whatever reason, just stay single and use the time to serve God, and save yourselves.

This may mean nothing at all or it could mean something. When I first learned about the warning I was so curious as to the date of this all going down. I was driving home one night in rush hour traffic and I asked God if it be His will to give me an idea of the timing of the warning. I instantly noticed a car drive by with the numbers 2814 on the liscense plate. It struck out to me for some odd reason and I asked again and another car drove by with the numbers 8214. Did God answer a prayer or was this random? Again I have no clue but either Feb 8, 2014 or August 2, 2014 I thought could fit into the timeline of things with the miracle to follow within a year after. What is also unique about this occurance is depending on how your read dates they could both mean Aug 2, 2014. Now both of these dates fall on a Saturday which would coincide with the warning to happen on a Thursday, Friday or Saturday. What I have not checked into yet is if these are feast days for Mary? Anyone know for sure? I am particularly interested in August 2nd? So only God knows for sure but I still feel for some reason the warning will occur in 2014.

I too asked the year and was told 2014. I posted it a month or so ago somewhere on here. I am not sure though because it was a locution so of course they are very hard to discern.

Well no doubt it is soon anyway, all the Sings are there.

Something sad happened to me when I was praying last week. I was looking out the window, praying. I was thinking of all the souls whom when I look at and have a ..what I will call a , 'lights out ' aspect. This does not mean they are bad people in a human sense , they would probably not even drive through a a red traffic light. By 'light out' I mean that they are folks who never or very rarely pray. The light inside them has winked out, it so very, very sad looking at them it is as though they were indeed the walking dead. A bit like spiritual zombies.

Anyhow I was concerned about them and though to myself , will all these poor folks wind up in hell? For the Catholic Cathechism teaches that those who pray will most certainly be damned and that those who pray will most certainly be damned..and these folks are not praying not a whimper.

I tried in my heart to make excuses for them, that they are good folks, raising families and what not in other ways, nursing the sick and so on.

But I heard the voice of Jesus saying firmly in my heart,

'They have made themselves that which they choose to be'.

So sad. The Warning can't come soon enough for me, or them.

-If the Miracle is not set for spring of 2014, then the Warning could not be February of 2014.*
-Conversely, if the Warning occurs February of 2014, then the Miracle must be spring of 2014.*

*(unless the timing of the Miracle, to be "within a year of the Warning," is meant to be taken loosely "about one year", and thus could be 13 or 14 months....then Spring of 2015 would still be a possibility in this case).

    it
In my case it was very obvious the first marriage was not valid. It also was not my choice at all to have it end.

The warning is first, then the miracle. So Warning in 2014 then miracle in spring 2015.

  12. Pope Francis’ first Synod of the Bishops will be, quite literally, an “extraordinary” one. Today the Vatican announced that Pope Francis will host an Extraordinary General Assembly of the Synod of Bishops to discuss the topic, “The Pastoral Challenges of the Family in the Context of Evangelization.” The meeting will take place in Rome, October 5-14, 2014, and the issue of divorced and remarried Catholics will almost certainly be on the table.

Sooooo.....it will take place on our Lady's feast day! One more chance for the Bishops to be together....and the consecration to be said FINALLY!!!

Most likely, since it is supposed to follow a synod.

One was held in late 2012, but i think we've passed the general timeframe for the Warning to be following that synod (because, being 1 year later now, it doesn't seem like it could be said to be "shortly after" that synod any longer). And without the announcement of this 2014 synod, it seemed likely that the next synod would not be until 2016.

2001 Ordinary General X, The Bishop: Servant of the Gospel of Jesus Christ for the Hope of the World Pastores gregis
2005 Ordinary General XI, The Eucharist: Source and Summit of the Life and Mission of the Church Sacramentum caritatis
2008 Ordinary General XII, The Synod on the Word of God in the Life and Mission of the Church Verbum Domini
2012 Ordinary General XIII, The New Evangelization for the Transmission of the Christian Faith
2014 Extraordinary General, The Pastoral Challenges of the Family in the Context of Evangelization

Interestingly, a Warning date in 2014, shortly after the synod, means the October - November - December 2014 range. This rules out both possibilities you saw in license plates, sine they are both before the next synod (and one is actually before the spring, which means if the Warning did occur Feb. 2014, then the Miracle would have to be very soon after in the spring of 2014...That was my point in the previous post). I guess there is an outside chance that the Warning could occur Feb. 2014 (which could almost still be considered shortly after the last synod of Nov. 2012), and if so, the Miracle would also be in 2014.

Does it have to be after a synod? I could see the warning happen before then the synod then the miracle.

I thought there was a very specific statement made by Mari Loli, who knew the year of the Warning: "that it would be soon after a synod of bishops" (and I think it was remarked that these modern "synods of bishops" were not defined or established until after the Garabandal apparitions, at the end of the second vatican council in 1965, so she didn't even know what a "synod of bishops" was....)

    Glenn could verify this better.

    Archbishop Muller:

"A further case for the admission of remarried divorcees to the sacraments is argued in terms of mercy. Given that Jesus himself showed solidarity with the suffering and poured out his merciful love upon them, mercy is said to be a distinctive quality of true discipleship. This is correct, but it misses the mark when adopted as an argument in the field of sacramental theology. The entire sacramental economy is a work of divine mercy and it cannot simply be swept aside by an appeal to the same. An objectively false appeal to mercy also runs the risk of trivializing the image of God, by implying that God cannot do other than forgive. The mystery of God includes not only his mercy but also his holiness and his justice. If one were to suppress these characteristics of God and refuse to take sin seriously, ultimately it would not even be possible to bring God’s mercy to man. Jesus encountered the adulteress with great compassion, but he said to her “Go and do not sin again” (Jn 8:11). God’s mercy does not dispense us from following his commandments or the rules of the Church. Rather it supplies us with the grace and strength needed to fulfil them, to pick ourselves up after a fall, and to live life in its fullness according to the image of our heavenly Father.

    Pastoral care

Even if there is no possibility of admitting remarried divorcees to the sacraments, in view of their intrinsic nature, it is all the more imperative to show pastoral concern for these members of the faithful, so as to point them clearly towards what the theology of revelation and the Magisterium have to say. The path indicated by the Church is not easy for those concerned. Yet they should know and sense that the Church as a community of salvation accompanies them on their journey. Insofar as the parties make an effort to understand the Church’s practice and to abstain from communion, they provide their own testimony to the indissolubility of marriage."
