Undeniably, several nails hitting the head there.

The word 'preternatural' exists alongside supernatural. I am also thinking now that the former is the correct word in the context of Trump's survival of his assassination attempt.

    Sadly, you are 100% correct.

Recent polls indicate that 82% of the Jewish population in Israel completely support Israel’s policy of either killing or driving out the entire Palestinian population from Gaza. They may hate Netanyahu but support his actions in Gaza.

And 52% support killing Palestinian babies because “today’s Palestinian babies are tomorrow’s terrorists “.

Now where in the world would you come up with these numbers if similar polls were conducted!?

America is far from perfect but I remember not long ago American couples were adopting Russian babies with serious handicaps. Russia was viewed by many as “ the enemy “(still is, sadly) and yet thousands of couples were filing applications to adopt these poor Russian babies (it seems the Russian government has halted the program now). How much love does it take for you to do that. And yet there were more couples willing to do that than babies available, if I recall correctly.

If one investigates the origin and meaning of the Star of David, it will take one down an interesting rabbit-hole. It is not derived from the Old Testament (it seems a later Talmudic addition around 600AD) and has been associated with the pagan god, Saturn, notable for eating his own children. If the doctrines of Sabbateanism (the inverted morality of their false messiah of 1666) are as popular as is rumoured, it would explain a lot.

Anyway, by their fruits shall we know them.

One must deal with the most immediate problem first.

Islam was a stagnating religion, with its best days behind it, after the fall of the Ottomans. The Jewish occupation of Palestine followed by all the resultant wars, combined with an ingenious playing off of Christians against Muslims (ISIS and Al-Qaeda are Zionist inventions) has greatly aggravated the situation. Frankly, given all the assaults and attacks on Muslims by the British and French, followed by those of the United States, it is unsurprising that they hate the West.

May we have the relevant admission from the Iranian authorities, please? All you are basing your post on is a twitter from someone, quoting hearsay.

I'm by no means of the left and there are many 'running' with this story who are certainly not.

You had better be right about this very serious allegation, or at least show some credible reason for believing it. Because if it's the deliberate posting of a scurrilous rumour with the intent to deceive, I for one will be calling for your banning. Militantcatholic was recently unavoidably banned for telling the truth with excessively intemperate language.

Oh please. Do your own Research. I was one of the first to call out Zionist Terrorism in the aftermath of October 7th. But Islamist Terrorism is far worse. Do you know that 300 MN+ Christians are being Persecuted in the Muslim World as we speak? Your idea that Muslims hate the West because of alleged Western mistakes is a laughable Error and shows incredible naivete on your part. I guess the 500 years of Islamist Invasions into Christian Countries that preceded the Crusades are also because of some 19th or 20th century mistakes? Lepanto, 1571, the Turkish invasion of Greece in Europe too? If that battle had been lost, all of European Christendom would have been fallen, Europe and America would have been under the Turkish Heel/Sharia Law today, and so much of the Evangelistic/Missionary Success of European Christendom in Global Christendom would never have happened. Wake up! Islam is worse.

Christians suffer “extreme levels of persecution” in the top 11 of the 50 nations. This ranges from being assaulted, raped, imprisoned or slaughtered on being identified as a Christian or attending (usually underground) churches.

Those nations and their respective rankings are: 1) North Korea, 2) Somalia, 3) Yemen, 4) Eritrea, 5) Libya, 6) Nigeria, 7) Pakistan, 8) Iran, 9) Afghanistan, 10) Sudan, 11) India.

Coming in at #1, the absolute worst nation is North Korea, “with the highest levels of persecution ever seen,” says the report:

If discovered by the authorities, believers are either sent to labour camps as political prisoners where the conditions are atrocious, or killed on the spot—and their families will share their fate as well. Christians have absolutely no freedom…. A new ‘anti-reactionary thought law’ makes it amply clear that being a Christian or possessing a Bible is a serious crime and will be severely punished.

Most of the “extreme persecution” meted out to Christians in nine of the top 11 worst nations continues, however, to come either from Islamic oppression, or takes place in Muslim-majority nations. This means that approximately 80% of the absolute worst persecution around the globe takes place in the name of Islam.

This trend affects the entire list, not just the top 11: the persecution that Christians experience in 39 of the 50 nations also comes either from Islamic oppression or occurs in Muslim majority nations. The overwhelming majority of these nations are governed by some form of shari‘a (Islamic law). It can either be directly enforced by government or society or, more frequently, both, although societies—family members outraged in particular by relatives who have converted—tend to be more zealous in its application.

Moreover, though the persecution in North Korea is worse, there is, at least, a light at the end of the tunnel for Christians in that nation, as their ill treatment is entirely connected to the regime of Kim Jong-un. Once he is gone, North Korea may well become like South Korea, where Christianity is flourishing. On the other hand, the Muslim persecution of Christians is perennial, existential, and far transcends this or that regime or ruler. It is part of the history, doctrines, and socio-political makeup of Islam—hence its tenacity and ubiquity.

In the worst of the Muslim nations, Christianity has been so stamped out over the years that there are no indigenous Christians to persecute, only converts—apostates, which, according to most interpretations of Islamic law, deserve death.

In Somalia (#2), for example, “Imams in mosques and madrassas state publicly that there is no room for Christianity, Christians or churches. The violent insurgent group al-Shabaab has repeatedly expressed its desire to eradicate Christians from the country. Christians from Muslim backgrounds are regarded as high-value targets and may be killed on the spot if discovered.”

Similarly, in Yemen (#3), “The population is overwhelmingly Muslim and it is illegal to convert from Islam to Christianity”:

Yemeni Christian converts are at great risk of being killed, not just ostracised or expelled, by their families, clans and tribes. Islamic extremist groups such as al-Qaeda and so-called Islamic State threaten so-called ‘apostates’ with death if they do not return to Islam. In other areas, including those controlled by Houthis, converts risk imprisonment. In detention centres, Christian detainees have reportedly suffered physical and mental torture.

In most Muslim nations on the list, one or all of three segments of society—Muslim authorities, Muslim mobs, or Muslim terrorists—persecute Christians to varying degrees.

In Libya (#5), jihadists are chiefly responsible. The North African nation is

a lawless land where both native Christians and those passing through from other countries face extreme violence. With no central government to maintain law and order, militant Islamic extremist groups and organised crime groups both wield power. They target and kidnap Christians, and some believers have been killed.

On the other hand, in Iran (#8), which is “ruled by an increasingly strict Islamic regime,” the authorities are chiefly responsible:

Iranian house church leaders and members have received long prison sentences involving physical and mental abuse. Iranian Christians may be banned from education, lose their jobs and find it very difficult to get back into employment. For women, the situation is even more precarious because Iranian law grants women few rights. For trusting in Jesus, they are likely to be violently punished or divorced by their husbands and have their children taken away from them, if their faith is discovered.

In Afghanistan (#9), Islamic terrorists—who also happen to be the authorities—are chiefly responsible:

The Taliban’s takeover of power in August 2021 has forced most Christians either further underground or away from the country entirely. Many (if not all) house groups closed, with believers forced to leave behind everything they own. More than a year after the Taliban's takeover, any promises they made about recognising freedoms have proved to be false. Following Jesus remains a death sentence, if discovered.

In Pakistan (#7), every rung of society is responsible for the persecution:

Christians in Pakistan are considered second-class citizens and face discrimination in every aspect of life. Jobs that are seen as low, dirty and degrading are reserved for Christians by the authorities, who continue to push them to the margins of society. They lack proper representation in politics … [and] there are almost constant attacks against individuals. Many do not feel safe to worship freely…. [R]oughly a quarter of all blasphemy accusations target Christians, who only make up 1.8% of the population. The number of blasphemy cases is increasing, as is the number of Christian (and other minority religion) girls being abducted, abused and forcibly converted to Islam.

Xavier, we're dealing with your specific allegation. You have responded with generalisations. We won't convert the Muslims by going to war with them. Catholicism is not a religion of Jihad.

Please, attend to the specific questions I asked you. You are free to open another thread about the general issues you have brought up, but you opened this one on the specific issue of this war and have yourself made a very serious accusation about it.

Consider this: if my house was invaded by a burglar and I accidentally shot and killed my wife in a confused attempt to defend my home, it is my understanding that, under Catholic moral teaching, Christ would lay the guilt of my wife's death on the burglar, while my act would have been only a tragic accident.

We know that Trump/Netanyahu's attack was criminal, because they claimed on Saturday that Iran was about to attack pre-emptively, but a Pentagon spokesman testified to Congress on Sunday that this was not the case. Also, we have the testimony of the Omanian minister that the Iranians had decided to discuss the latest positive proposals in the negotiations. Catholic moral theology has, as one of its first principles, that one may not do evil in order to achieve good. But, Trump/Netanyahu lied in order to achieve their objectives (and it's very debateable if they were good), making it an evil and criminal act. Even if what you say is true (and I very much doubt it), and the Iranians killed the children accidentally in trying to defend their country, the guilt for the children's death still lies with 'Israel'/US.

Now, can we have Iranian sources for your claim, please?

But it is a Religion of Crusades and Just Wars. Saint Augustine and Saint Thomas Aquinas have written about this - Saint Francis of Assisi in speaking to the Muslim Sultans gave Muslim Persecution of Christians as a Justification for the Crusades - and the Catechism of the Church teaches about it.

Not analogous at all. It's more like your raping your wife abusing your children and killing plenty of your neighbors. Finally the Police or the Army come to stop you. If you shoot and kill people after that, even accidentally, it's on you. You should have pacifically gone to your arrest and stopped the crimes.

Source? Show me the link. That Justification is not necessary for Just War. What Justifies the Just War in Iran is 80%+ of Iranians wanted and asked for it. Here's the Source for that: https://nypost.com/2025/08/23/world...hange-over-ayatollah-islamic-republic-survey/

    No, see above.

It seems there is contrary information on the strike:

    • International responses:
      • US officials (e.g., Secretary of State Marco Rubio) stated forces "would not deliberately target a school" and are investigating reports.
      • IDF has said it's "not aware" of the strike on the school.

Survey of 77K Iranians finds majority of nation desires the end of the Islamic Republic, Ayatollah

The people of Iran yearn for change — survey says.
Polling released this week by a Netherlands-based independent research group found more than 80% of the 77,000 Iranians surveyed want the Ayatollah to go.

Respondents also overwhelming voiced a desire to see Tehran transition away from the Islamic Republic.

A lowly 11% of Iranians said they still support the Iranian Revolution of 1979, and the job Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei’s been doing running Tehran.

The Ayatollah rose to power following the 1979 revolution, returning from exile to establish the Islamic Republic and rule Iran as its supreme leader.

The Group for Analyzing and Measuring Attitudes in Iran (GAMAAN) conducted the survey in June 2024.

All of the respondents live within Iranian borders, according to the research group.

“A majority of the population opposes the Islamic Republic and supports changing or transforming the political system,” the report’s author, Ammar Maleki, explained.

Only around 20% of those surveyed want the oppressive Islamic Republic to remain in power.

An overwhelming majority of Iranians — 89%, in fact — support democracy while about half of the population — 43% — said it was open to authoritarian rule by a strong individual leader.

That view was more commonly held amongst uneducated people in rural areas.

What do you think? Post a comment.

In addition, people are none too happy with governance based on religious law and military rule, with 66% and 71%, respectively, chiming into voice opposition.

Since the survey was conducted, Iran has held a presidential election and was badly beaten by Israel in the 12-day war, which the organization admits could have swayed the results.

    You're just evading, Xavier.

But, what you're proposing is the replacement of Islamic fundamentalism with what Israel Shamir (Christian convert from Judaism, paratrooper in IDF in Six-Day War and long-term defender of the Palestinians) astutely describes as Epsteinia (or 'the Jewish state-in-progress'), the new satanic religion of 'Israel', US, UK, France and Germany. The freedoms will be abortion, their major anti-sacrament, all the usual kinds of sexual perversion, access to unlimited pornography, prostitution, human trafficing and all the materialist trinkets.

For years, Christianity was slowly growing in Iran. How many true Christians exist in Epsteinia? I'd be unsurprised if it was proportionately less. Nominal Christians and heretical 'Christian' Zionists don't count.

    https://www.unz.com/ishamir/the-purim-war-against-iran/

I very strongly recommend this article by Israel Shamir. He is very well-versed with the history, religion and current politics of 'Israel'. He also astutely identifies the Antichrist in terms eerily close to Monsignor Benson's novel 'Lord of the World'.

P.S. What you say about the Crusades is true, but it had no impact in converting Muslims. Also, the Christians of the Middle East weren't enthusiastic, as they suffered greatly for them. The Constantinoplians wouldn't have been too happy, either.
