It is the easiest thing in the World to start a War. But once a war is started who knows where it will end up? It is a bit like starting a fire in a forest, who knows where it will spread? Look at the First World War, someone fired a bullet in Serbia and it was heard around the World ending up in the First World War.

I thought Pope Leo's statement was good, to give the devil his due.

    https://www.vaticannews.va/en/pope/...peace-and-seek-solutions-without-weapons.html

“Pray for peace, work for peace, less hatred. Hatred in the world is constantly increasing.” This is the appeal that Pope Leo XIV shared with a group of journalists outside Villa Barberini, the residence in Castel Gandolfo, where he spent his customary day of rest and work between yesterday and today.

As attacks increase in the Middle East and fear and tensions grow around the world, the Pope urged pursuing the goal of peace. At the same time, he called on everyone to “truly strive to promote dialogue” and to “seek solutions without weapons to resolve problems.”

These words echo those he spoke last Sunday at the Angelus, during which, referring to the attack by the United States and Israel on Iran and Iran’s bombings of several areas in the Middle East, Leo XIV said: “Stability and peace are not achieved through mutual threats, nor through the use of weapons, which sow destruction, suffering, and death, but only through reasonable, sincere, and responsible dialogue.”

I think the War ends with the US-Israel Allies achieving Air Dominance once Iran's Air Defences are taken out. That will be the End of the Islamic Nazi Regime, and His Majesty King Reza Pehlavi - a Friend of the US and of Israel and the West - and Her Majesty Princess Noor Pehlavi will take over. Both of them together, Patriotic Iranian Americans in Exile right now, together with 80%+ of the Iranian People, including the mostly Underground Church in Iran, have been asking for Regime Change. This is not Iraq 2.0 and the Plan for the "Day After" is in place. I expect Air Dominance to be achieved this Month, Month of Saint Joseph. Let's Pray to Saint Joseph for a Speedy End to the War, and for Victory for the Allies and for Peace to come soon. God Bless.

In the meanwhile, those of us who don't live in War-torn Regions can thank the Good Lord for the simple blessings we enjoy daily:)

I wouldn't be certain that Russia has abandoned Iran. They did abandon Syria, but it was a very weak strategic position, with their Mediterranean fleet very isolated and vulnerable. To defend Syria would probably have led to full-scale war in the Mediterranean with the US, UK and France, with these having all the advantages. In the case of Iran, all these factors are reversed. I think it is certain that Russia and China are assisting behind the scenes. The former were instrumental in striking a mortal blow to Mossad infiltration and both might be playing a significant role in the extraordinary accuracy and success of the Iranian missile barrages. Russia will be able to supply Iran's needs via the Caspian Sea.

Russia also has the difficulty that there are two million Russian Jews in Israel, many dual-passport holders. They would not be keen to get directly involved in combat with the descendents of the Bolsheviks.

The US have, for little return, broadened the war by sinking the Iranian frigate in the Indian Ocean. If the US/'Israel' continue their immoral bombings of civilians, it seems inevitable that Iran will neutralise the US B2 base in the Indian Ocean, which is well within their range and they will also take out the two carriers, both of which have already retreated.

At the moment, there is reason to fear that Tehran will be turned into a second Gaza.
Pahlavi is being pranked by Russians and talks of a crusade. (https://x.com/tparsi/status/2029229920786821256)
Hegseth, covered in tattoos, says, "Flying over their capital. Death and destruction from the sky all day long. We're playing for keeps." (https://x.com/allenanalysis/status/2029273212316790841)
Hegseth, in 2024, sounded different: " I've been a recovering neocon for six years now...The foolishness with which we ricocheted around the world intervening, thinking it was in our best interest when really we just overturned the table and created something worse." (https://x.com/highbrow_nobrow/status/2028486026801315864)

The truth dies in war on all sides; it is difficult to assess what is going on.
What I have also learned is that forecasts, no matter which expert they come from, are very uncertain.
Time will tell who runs out of ammunition first. (U.S. Races to Accomplish Iran Mission Before Munitions Run Out)

It seems well within Iran's current capabilities to take out Diego Garcia and the two carriers, which would somewhat inhibit the US. When Israel runs out of interceptor missiles, I would expect an Iranian barrage that would quickly leave Israel without an airforce. Hopefully, their ultrasonics would simultaneously disable the Israeli nuke launchers. That's the outcome I pray for. Maybe, then, the Palestinians might get a fair hearing.

There's another strategic issue, if this becomes a long war, with multiple ships getting sunk in the region-currently, China is building ships at a 230x rate greater than the US. A long destructive war of attrition is going to have enormous consequences for a West that is unable to build anything. The South Koreans build a lot of ships, but they have been reported as gravitating more to China recently. If the US loses warships in this conflict, forcing replacements from the Pacific, there will be nothing left to stop China taking Taiwan. They won't even have to fire a shot. Meanwhile, where is Zelensky going to get missiles to defend Ukraine? Did the US think this through?

Iran is trying to deplate interceptors and launch then cheap BM all over israel and level it like they did to gaza. It works.

The Hormuz is closed and they target tankers to oblige the US navy to come closer and try to protect them at missile range of Iran. It works.

By being resilant on the bomber hits they will oblige the US to go on ground which they want because they will anihlate any ground force with drones. It works.

Their AD are doing poorly because they don't use them. US/Israel are relying on stand off attacks for now. Once they start low altitude bombing with dumb bombs they will be in range of shorads. That's when US will start loosing planes(So far, 4 F-15 aircraft have been shot down.)....

How does Netanyahu view the Iranian people?

    Al Jazeera report:

    - Netanyahu in English: We are seeking to free the Iranians.

    - Netanyahu in Hebrew: Today the Iranians are the Amalekite people.

According to chapter 25 of the Book of Deuteronomy, the people of Israel must kill all the Amalekites, including their women and children.

Israel bombed Tehran’s 12,000-seat Azadi football Stadium.

They are just bombing every civilian infrastructure. And yet some STILL think Israel/US is only targeting “tHe IsLaMiC RePuBliC rEgImE"

    Smart play :

Iranian Parliament member Amir Hossein Thabiti:

“If the leaders of the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Bahrain, Turkey, and similar countries want to see an end to the threat of Iranian missiles, they should expel the Americans from their territories and ensure the complete removal of all US military bases. Otherwise, the current situation will only escalate”

In these countries, without Turkey, 90% of their income is based on oil. Everything is rolling through the strait that is blocked, and the oil infrastructure is destroyed. Consider that 80% of the population is foreign, the Arabs do nothing... 80% of the food comes by ship, and there is no water there. The dollar is tied to oil, the Iranians do not want a military coup, but by destroying these countries they are creating economic chaos and humanitarian that is throwing the entire world into crisis. They just have to endure for everyone to feel the consequences that have already begun.

They put a gun to the heads of the Arabs and said, "You come down with us or get rid of the Americans." A spoiled people who are used to luxury will take the Arab royal family out onto the streets and they will end up like Gaddafi.

I feel like we are living the book of Genesis in a lot of ways. The one theme that sticks out to me from this holy book is struggle. Everyone is facing a lot of challenges and sacrifices, as the boil has been lanced (thank-you Sanctus). Job discovered that God's ways are higher than our ways.

So we wrestle with the effects of all the puss and blood coming to the surface. Trusting God is with us as we go forward. Knowing that ultimately God will bless us and heal us. Be it in this life or the next.

It seems like we only ever learn the hard way. The perpetual battle between the seed of the woman and the seed of the serpent. One side wants all of the blessings and nothing to do with God, where as the other wants all of the blessings and everything to do with God. But it is only in the struggle, the cross, we find God.

So while all of this is a kind of a collective torment, I try to find God in the struggle. Praying for everyone in the midst of it. Knowing God has us, but we also have to keep going forward as difficult as it is.

May we all be inspired by the prophets, patriarchs, saints and Our Lord Jesus who pushed forward regardless of the cost.

I think perhaps President Trump has just made the biggest mistake in the entire history of the United States of America by attacking Iran. I was racking my brains trying to think of a bigger one but I just can't.

I also can't think of a way of him back tracking without looking like a prize chump. So he won't backtrack.

    Heaven help us all.

Yes. Heaven help us all. May God work events and people in such a way that he is forced to back track. I honestly wonder if he is turning into Biden part II. As in encroaching dementia . This is clearly a chastisement on our country. We dont deserve good leaders and each election is an agonizing choice between bad and horrible. Trump won the pro life vote but I dont think that's coming back any time soon.

I wonder if he is laying awake at night staring at the ceiling. We all worry about our little troubles that make us wake up at night. But imagine leading your own country into an immense catastrophe; what must that feel like? Maybe he hasn't even cottoned on yet.

I think Tucker is great sometimes.
97 minutes that are worth watching. Of course, this doesn't apply to everyone.
The political, historical and, above all, religious dimensions of the conflict are explained.
Btw, he also mentions Ch**ad, which I wrote about yesterday.

Edit: I would like to correct, from around minute 44, from the interview onwards, it is good, but no longer great...

Perhaps we will see some Western leaders walking in single file to buy sanctioned Russian oil once the United States begins extracting oil from Alaska and Venezuela during the Strait of Hormuz crisis. In that way, Iran’s misfortune would become Russia’s triumph.

The three stooges (Starmer, Macron and Merz) will be too obstinate. Anyway, if the oil from the Gulf is out of production, it will be a sellers' market for Russia.

The biggest problem for the Gulf states and Saudi, apart from restoring lost infrastructure, is apparently the restoration of insurance. One analyst says it could take 16 months.

Possibly the biggest military folly since the Athenian attack on Sicily. I have just received my digital copy of E. Michael Jones' "Culture Wars" magazine. He has an article generally describing the state of the US under Trump, written before the attack on Iran. He was aware that it was imminent and his prediction was that it would lead to the end of US hegemony, the polar opposite of Trump's intention. It looks like Dr Jones is right once again.
