Not exactly what the thread title says but this man (Ron Copperman) was born into a mixed faith family. His mother was Catholic and his father Jewish. He grew up thinking of himself as Jewish but after his Bar Mitzvah he decided to move away from that to explore other paths. He became interested in Buddhism and then some other New Age things but unexpectedly met a girl at a festival who opened his heart to the Lord. From what I gather he considers himself Jewish while acknowledging Jesus as the Messiah. The site is called Jews for Jesus and the interviewer seems to have followed a similar path.

About a month ago, John Henry Westen interviewed Nikki Kingsley on her coversion from Islam to Catholicisn. I posted that inspiring interview at the time and was happy to see that there was also an interview by Robert Nugent earlier today, as Nikki Kingsley will be coming to Ireland in June for the All Ireland Rosary Rally in Knock.

From EWTN News Fb page: A book by a certified yoga instructor explores the “darkness” behind the practice of yoga and the many "misconceptions” of the practice for Catholics and non-Catholics alike. Linda Carl spoke about the dangers of yoga and her newest book, “Yoga Unveiled: My Spiritual Journey from Darkness to Light," at a May 11 discussion at the Catholic Information Center in Washington, D.C. I'm interested in reading Linda Carls book on Yoga and it's hidden dangers for Catholics and non-Catholics alike, as the above piece says. I haven't practiced Yoga but am aware of how popular it's become and the ideas and terms that have entered the mainstream through it. I had a look on Kindle and it will be published on May 19th 2026. This is from the Book Overview there: "For nearly twenty years, Linda Carl lived and breathed yoga. She taught it, practiced it, promoted it, and truly believed she was helping people find peace. Then, after one terrifying event, everything slowly began to change. A spiritual awakening unfolded that shattered her assumptions, exposed the hidden forces behind yoga’s serene façade, and ultimately led her back to God: the mercy of Christ. This powerful book throws back the curtain on what yoga really is — its religious origins, its spiritual dangers, and the misleading philosophies it has helped weave into American culture. Today, thirty-six million Americans practice yoga believing it offers mental clarity, emotional balance, and physical wellness. But few understand that yoga is, at its core, a Hindu spiritual system designed to awaken forces incompatible with the Christian faith. Drawing from years of research, personal experience, Scripture, and the words of Hindu teachers themselves, Linda reveals how yoga’s postures, mantras, breathing practices, and meditative techniques are not neutral — they are acts of devotion to other gods. She shows why even “yoga as exercise” can open spiritual doors Christians are never meant to open. Along the way, Linda exposes the troubling beliefs of yoga instructors in the West, the seductive lure of “energy healing” practices such as Reiki, and the subtle idolatry embedded in language about the “divine,” “the universe,” and “spiritual energy.” Yet this book is far more than just a warning. It is an electrifying testimony of deliverance. With disarming honesty and deep compassion, Linda recounts how Christ rescued her, healed her, and filled the emptiness yoga could never reach. She offers a clear side-by-side comparison of yoga’s teachings and the truths of the Catholic Faith, helping readers discern rightly and avoid spiritual harm. Most importantly, she points the way forward — to Christ-centered prayer, holy stillness, reverence for the body as the temple of the Holy Spirit, and the peace that comes not from self-emptying techniques but from surrender to the living God. If you desire physical well-being without jeopardizing your soul; if you’ve struggled with confusion, anxiety, or spiritual darkness; or if you simply long for authentic peace and harmony, this book is your guide. Linda Carl’s story will shake you, steady you, and ultimately refresh you in the liberating power of God’s love."
