When specifically do you take off on your pilgrimage? Praying!

Such a simple but profound encounter! The Two Hearts never cease to amaze me! And wise words for Peter!

My son finished his whole 2nd round of antibiotics, and a couple days later, his tonsils again have spots and are growing in size. My throat also has felt very unusual for the last 2 months at least. He and I both have appointments with the ENT on Thurs. I'm really struggling with this. Trying to trust God as we feel trapped in a very discouraging cycle.

Its very discouraging for your son and for you. You are probably run down a bit yourself. It may be that Will needs to have his tonsils/adenoids removed. They can harbor infection in some children ( my 9 yr old nephew is going through this right now) unfortunately antibiotics can only do so much. Its a hard decision i know. When i was little everyone got a tonsillectomy. And then it no longer seemed desirable to do it with the advent of antibiotics. Now the pendulum is swinging back i think. I will say prayers tonight for you to kniw what course to take.

Maybe your child is always inside the house and not getting any sunlight that is why his immune system is weak and tonsillitis is always recurring? Better take some Vitamin D supplements...

This is actually the first time we know of that he has ever had tonsillitis, and he's 13! It's just that his tonsil swelled up about 5 weeks ago and won't go back down, even after 2 rounds of antibiotics.

It's funny you say this though, because I just gave him some vitamin D today for the first time. We live in the country and he plays outside a lot, but he does tend to choose shaded areas to play.

Just seeing this. Praying now. May the Precious Blood of Jesus heal her as well as sustain you.

Very sorry to hear this. It takes a lot to keep going at such times. Worse because you can't just stop and rest up much either. If you're not already doing it, a good soup can do some good. If someone could help you to brew a big pot of chicken soup with a generous amount ginger and tomatoes and a whole head of garlic, it could help both of you to feel better at the very least. You could keep the soup warm and drink it several times throughout the day. On tough days here, I would do this, adding carrots, potatoes and canned button mushrooms to the soup towards dinner time to make the whole thing a complete meal for the family. It took a load off me just to have a meal on the table with half of the fuss.

That sounds wonderful. I'll have to figure that out. Honestly, I never rest. And I really need to.
