Benoit "was skeptical when he came [to Medjugorje] like other members of his group but he left not only convinced but transformed."
I can attest to this. I went to medjugorje for the first time 15 years ago and experienced a powerful conversion back to the Faith and the Church.
Currently discerning returning to medjugorje again in a few months if Mary calls me. Would love to go back again. Had a lovely time there recently.
It's in my heart to go back also. I've often gone in September and even early October. It's in the Lord's hands. I haven't dared mentioned it to my husband yet. If it's from Our Lady it will happen.
I have a friend who has been to Medugorje so many times I am surprised he has not been declared Lord Mayor of the village. He is also someone who makes friends very easily and seemed to know half the village. I would guess for anyone like yourself who has a big Cross it would be a great idea to keep going. A place of rest.
I remember the first time I went to Medugorje I had just got back home in the car from the airport. I felt deflated and missed the place so much . Then I heard the voice of Our Lady say clearly to me, 'Make your heart and where you live another Medugorje, be another Medugorje. Take it with you!' This cheered me up a lot.
Agreed, Mother's daily presence along with Our Lord's presence during every language Mass daily is beyond description & compare. Heaven truly touches earth there in a most unique palpable way.
I agree, there's nothing like that feeling of Mary's presence. When I'm in Medjugorje, I cry constantly. The tears just flow and flow, like she's working on me in the deepest places of my being.
“Come to Me, all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am meek and humble of heart, and you will find rest for yourselves. For My yoke is easy and My burden light” (Matthew 11: 28-30). Fr. Jason's homily today: what it means to be yoked to Christ: https://video.marytv.tv/watch/mSh4D0sZ9mB?ctx=yDj3O1j6sO8,mP9bEiEsi5K Our Lady's messages are always uplifting and encouraging. I agree that her presence brings to Medjugorje -- the local community, and priests and pilgrims alike, inner joy and the peace of Christ. As we can see, Fr. Jason is always smiling, exuding such joy and peace.
