I keep reaching out to Jesus and keep telling Him that I love Him and that I accept his cross for me.
Just catching up on several days posts here. I am currently away from home. Even though I am behind in reading prayer requests I remember everyone on this forum who are in need of prayer and God's consoling presence every morning at Mass. Sanctus I will especially remember you today. I had severe heart palpitations and my pulse was quite low after cancer treatment. I struggled to walk any distance. In Medjugorje I met a priest quite by chance who prayed with me. The following day I climbed Apparition Hill and the day after that Cross Mountain. You are going to the right place. Ask Our lady to heal you of this. As suggested by dmforogen pray to Our Lady every morning prayers of joy and thanksgiving.
I was thinking about doubting ourselves last night and doubting God's Mercy. One huge, huge example of trust in God was St Therese of Liseaux. She reminds me of a very tiny child who ran and threw herself into the arms of God. She had such complete confidence in his love and mercy. I think she knew herself this ran contrary to the Catholic spiritual current in France at her days. This tended towards a certain hardness. But she stuck to her guns. I suspect what gave her such great confidence was her own deep humility. She knew she needed God, but she also trusted that God would supply that need.
Another great influence on St Therese was her relationship with her father. They had a wonderful appreciation of each other. This I think led her to really trust God as a father.
Yes, Therese was so very loved by her parents and big sisters. They did a wonderful job of showing her the love of God.
