We had an odd thing happen at Mass Saturday. Right after consecration ( the homily was about the woman requesting scraps like the dogs from Jesus btw). , so as the Priest was distributing the hosts to the Eucharist ministers a conversation started between our Priest and the minister. Father started fumbling around, I was wondering what was going on. And then he announced that there was not enough hosts for everyone, and if they ran out during distribution, could we make a spiritual communion. He said he was embarrassed to announce this. So they broke the hosts in pieces which I have see done before, and as it turned out there were alot left over. But the really odd part is after communion, he announced that he was embarrassed to run out, and apologized. And said we witnessed a miracle like feeding the five thousand. And he said he was feeling awful to make us aware of this. I thought to myself, if he takes the place of Jesus why is he embarrassed? It was weird. Then after Mass I heard one of the ministers had dropped a bowl of hosts on the floor and he didn’t want to use them … I would have taken one but maybe there is some Canon law I don’t know about. Strange things going on in churches for sure.

If anything would scare me to death it would be that I insulted God's Mother in any way, even slightly. People of other Religions might have some excuse through ignorance.

But a Catholic priest? Oh I feel my anger rising even at the very thought.

May God have mercy on this poor priest. Prayers.

Such terrible, terrible times. Beyond sad.

I had to avoid Mass in the Monastery this past week. It was a Jesuit priest there at the time. Weird, weird stuff was going on and the priest himself made me deeply, deeply uneasy. I won't go into the details.

But anyway my folks were here, I was stuck for time and I decided to risk a mass with him.
But at the end of the mass he shook hands with everyone but me. Me he snubbed. \No hand shake but a look that could burn a stone. It reminded me of the Jesuit priest in Ireland in my street who shouted at me in a rage.

    Strange, strange, strange times.

Oh yes. That happens to me all the time. If I don’t get verbally attacked or ignored then I know I am doing something wrong. Expect it, most Carmelites deal with that. Just look at what happened to St John of the Cross. Thank God I have a sweet and easy going husband. He is a gift.

It is so sad but the once proud name of Jesuit casts a great shadow now. I know Pope St John Paul 2 was going to do away with them all but was talked out of it at the last moment.

All I hear on TV or radio is climate change and not one mention of chastisement.

I am afraid Climate Change is a subtle tool of the devil to keep people asleep in their sins. To stop them from repentance. Another thing that is coming is centralised World Government and complete economic control.

My sister told me that when she was in China the monitoring cameras were at face level rather than above to give greater control.

He needs prayer. And he needs a good catechist. Mary did not "ascend " because she was "assumed" by God body and soul into Heaven. She did not do this by her own power but like her Immaculate Conception.. to be born without original sin, She was given this singular gift at end of her time on Earth.

A clever trick of the devil to keep people from reading the signs of the times.

  13. Yes Mike, he needs prayer so bad and I'm including him in mine.

  14. It's a religion it seems. I remember Cardinal cupich when Pope Frances was elected, said in an interview, that the Pope had 2 main things that were pressing...immigration and climate change.

I see the BBC is reporting that the El Nino effect is the strongest ever recorded, that 2027 will be the hottest year ever.

El Niño set to be 'strongest in living memory', says Met Office

The El Niño event that is developing over the Pacific Ocean is likely to be the strongest in living memory, the Met Office has warned.

The powerful natural climate phenomenon pushes up global temperatures and can increase the risks of extreme weather.

Added to the effects of human-induced climate change, the Met Office is warning that it is "very likely" to mean 2027 is the hottest year on record.

There is growing evidence that weather patterns around the world are already being affected, with below-average monsoon rains in India and suppressed hurricane activity in the Atlantic Ocean.

El Niño could put the UK at greater risk of a wet, stormy autumn.

"We should be clear that this is an unprecedented event", said Prof Adam Scaife, head of long-range forecasting at the UK Met Office.

"I have never seen an El Niño signal this intense in our forecasts."

    What is El Niño?
El Niño is a naturally occurring weather pattern, which happens about every two to seven years, lasting for around a year.

Trade winds that typically blow from east to west across the Pacific Ocean can weaken or even reverse, allowing warm water to spread eastwards.

I don't really know what that means for us, but I've been struggling lately to keep my plants and trees alive and healthy. Every day the weather says it will be 103°F, but it actually gets up to 110°. Day after day this is happening, with no end in sight. I have to stay out so long watering that my body stops sweating and I wonder if I'm going to get heat stroke at some point. At least at night there is some relief. When the sun is gone, the temperatures drop fast. I feel like the sun itself is burning hotter. We have very clear air out here in the country, where I can smell and hear things from very far distances away. We don't really hold heat in our very clear air, but also there's less to block the sun's heat.

We travel into the city frequently, where the air is very thick and heavy and holds heat, but the haze also blocks the sunlight a bit. While we are 110° in the country daytime, it's 104° or so in the city. But at night....wow it's a different story. A few days ago we were out late in the city--about 10pm--and the night air was HOT. It was like we were inside an oven, even with the wind blowing. It was like the wind coming off a fire. There wasn't a star in the sky....Just drones, everywhere. It was like an apocalyptic, futuristic movie. Then we drove home to the country and the air was fresh, clear, and slightly cool, smelling like grass and trees, and there were thousands of stars in the sky. But yet, again the next day, the sun was a scorching 110°, while the city was only 103°.

This was not the case a few years ago when I was still living in the city. I know because I was constantly comparing our city temps with the country temps, dreaming of the day I would escape the stifling city lol. The city was ALWAYS hotter by about 5 degrees. I figured it was because of the heat building up from all the concrete and glass reflection. But now it's not as hot during the day as the country, and the country is reaching temps it never tended to reach before... So the sun has to be burning hotter and the city is being somewhat shielded by all of its haze and smog.

Oh and also in the last 2 years, the leaves of my young trees act like they've been burnt all summer long. They turn black/dark brown on the edges and curl up.

People are reporting all kinds of strange things. For instance farmers and gardeners are reporting that their crops and plants are not growing right. Not just because of the weather but even when conditions are perfect they still won't grow right.

People are reporting a feeling of strangeness, a brooding feeling of things around just not feeling right.

Large booming noises. Strange sights in the sky.

    All kinds of things

This says a lot about everything in general--not just Texas. You are very observant. Nature is always showing us if we know what to watch for. Here in northern New England we are seeing relentless heat and humidity. All summer. Very unusual. We are so grateful for rain. It used to be one or two weeks in July would get hot but the summer was mostly high 70's and cool at night. Now it is only this past few days it is cool at night. All our veg that like heat are growing great---tomatoes peppers zucchini but broccoli and squash are struggling.
Fruit is off the charts. I've never seen so many peaches and pears. And blueberries. Everything is sort of upside down. An d I agree the sun is hotter than it used to be.
