If things happen they happen. I would not change any plans. If you are sitting on a beach on holidays next year or booking them now etc just keep going. No point in fatalism. I know many now pushing up daisies who hoarded and stocked their supplies and had all their plans etc for decades and each year the news gave them surety that this was it. This or that disaster or rumour of war. Say your prayers, try to keep in a state of grace and live your life. No crystal balls and no script for future events.
It makes me think of a phrase I believe Our Lord said to me a few weeks ago at adoration: " seal your mind, calm your soul, open your heart" Not sure what sealing my mind means--perhaps protecting my thoughts. But since that Holy Hour bunches of things have gone wrong. Requiring patience and perseverance. Silly things. Like the fridge going dead 3 days before a big birthday party we were planning for our son. My wrist suddenly hurting like heck and shutting me down for 24 hrs while I iced it. Tonight a wine glass literally flew off the cabinet shelf and broke in a million pieces. We were quite long cleaning up the shards. Not sure we got it all. Then the toilet started backing up. Thats when I grabbed the Blessed exorcised salt and started calling on St Michael and praying binding prayers. Suddenly the toilet was fine. Hmmm. I've been meaning to ask Father Patrick to come and bless the house. I think i had better do it. Soon. And get to confession. Its been over a month. Too long.
The ol' boy wants to try to rob you of that blessing Aed. Pray into those words you received and they will bear fruit. And if I could suggest that you don't share them verbally with anyone yet, because he can also use your listener as a means of robbing the blessing by their response.
