Yes, I have encountered those while trying to find particular quotes circulating around attributed to him. It's incredibly frustrating....and evil, if I may say so.
I have not listened to or read prophecies in quite a few years. Our Lady gave her messages at Fatima through simple children, which if heeded is all we need. Many of the more recent ones have an air of sensationalism and / or fear, which can interfere with the inner peace which we need to have in order for the Lord to work in and through us. My tuppence worth.
I agree. I've actually been loving the daily Rosary from Lourdes. It is so peaceful to me. I look forward to it. I don't think God wants us trapped in negativity and worry because then we cannot help people. So for me...I honestly just try to trust God....it's only taken 6o years but better late than never...I love Fatima also.... ❤️ peace I give to you, He said, not anxiety.
I believe there are great graces being poured out in Medjugorje but I've not been or followed it in over 13 years.
I went every year from 1987 to 2013 apart from the war years. I was healed instantly from a physical injury on apparition hill in 1988. Had a number of experiences with Our Lady and in the last one in 2013 she told me my visits to Medjugorje were at an end. She also gave me instruction on how to progress spiritually without Medjugorje but it took a further few years of discernment and prayer before I knew what she meant. Spiritual direction is invaluable.
Then you know a modern apparition was quite true as I am sure are several others. Church approved or not? Kibeho. Garabandal. Akita. Mount Mellary. Tre Fontane Father Gobi etc etc? Even though they all warned of a 'Fearful punishment?' Am I correct? Was Our Blessed Mother mistaken in this? Was she being, 'Sensationalist?' I love each one of those but there are new ones popping up everyday. We must be so careful. When people say go to Medjugorge...not everyone can afford that . Why would I go to find our Mother, when I already have Her in my heart everyday??
That's often come to mind. I wish it was more specific...either the Cross or the Eucharist, I suppose. Given the way things are moving, I would tend towards the Eucharist, in the original understanding of the Sacrament.
I lean more on the Sign of the Cross (The Crucifix) St. Louis de Montfort says it clearly in the Battle of the End Times in his book True Devotion to Mary: “They will have the Rosary in their left hand, the Crucifix in their right, and the holy names of Jesus and Mary in their hearts; and the modesty and mortification of Jesus Christ in their whole behavior.”
It is not necessary for sure, and looking for signs is not equivalent to the firm ground of faithfulness to daily prayer, regular Confession, and frequent Holy Mass. Even so, my young family received a number of graces when we journeyed to Medjugorje in 1987. It reinforced in us particularly the need for daily family prayer as we witnessed families getting up in the morning and starting their day with the Rosary. Consider Sanctus who has been blessed and encouraged by his pilgrimages. If such a supernatural sign does come from the heavens, it probably will be due to so many hardened hearts now blinded to the ways of God. But it doesn't mean that those living the Faith will have to add x # of devotions to their lives subsequently. The key is to remain steadfast in the Faith. Philippians 1:9 And this is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, 10 so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless for the day of Christ, 11 filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ—to the glory and praise of God.
Well we do not necessarily have to go to Medugorje . Although I do admire the people who do travel at huge expense from right across the globe to do so. Our Lady has appeared in so many places right across the globe I am sure we can always find somewhere closer and nearer to our homes if we wish. Pilgrimages are very much a part of Marian apparitions. Very often as at Lourdes Mary specifically requests that people come. TO suggest that people do otherwise might be to suggest she appeared to mislead people or in vain.
Well it can be fun guessing. My guess is we find the answer in Scripture, the Book of Exodus. The Sign given was a snake, the preccusor of the Cross. Also the cloud by day and the pillar of fire by night. So I believe the sign will be a Cross in the sky with Mary standing beside it. The permanent Sign on Earth will also be a Cross of Light.
