Vat II document: "The college or body of bishops has for all that no authority unless united with the Roman Pontiff, Peter's successor, as its head, whose primatial authority, let it be added, over all, whether pastors or faithful, remains in its integrity. For the Roman Pontiff, by reason of his office as Vicar of Christ, namely, and as pastor of the entire Church, has full, supreme and universal power of the whole Church, a power which he can always exercise unhindered. The order of bishops is the successor to the college of the apostles in their role as teachers and pastors, and in it the apostolic college is perpetuated. Together with their head, the Supreme Pontiff, and never apart from him, they have supreme and full authority over the universal Church; but this power cannot be exercised without the agreement of the Roman Pontiff."

I believe the devil thinks he is everywhere victorious. I can see it on their faces. They are triumphant. But at the very point where it seems the final abomination is in their grasp God wil lsnatch the bone of the Church from their jowls in a miraculous and final way. The viper has indeed slipped into the very bosom of the Church. Its poison is everywhere.

At no time since Judas betrayed Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane has the Church been in such peril. At the so called Reformation her enmies were without. Now they nestle at the very heart.

I think things are far, far, far worse than 99% of people even the most critical realise. Far worse.

Well, one thing we know for sure from Our Lady of Fatima, is her admonition that if the consecration of Russia was not done by Pope John XIII in 1960, that there would be famine, war and persecution of the Church and the Holy Father. It seems apparent this will all be manifested soon.

Cdl. Kasper’s claim cannot be ignored
    May 8, 2014
I understand Fr. Lombardi’s unwillingness to comment on statements allegedly made by the pope to private persons. I’m not sure his ‘No Comment’ policy can be observed in the long run, but I understand why he wants to avoid questions about private papal conversations. But Cdl. Kasper’s shocking claim that the pope believes half of all marriages to be invalid, is different. Very, very different.

Cdl. Kasper is no hitherto-unknown lay person living in some faraway land, he is one of the most famous cardinals in Christendom and is highly regarded by Pope Francis. The comment in question is not a pastoral observation about one specific case, it is a sweeping assertion about the vocation in which more than nine out of every ten adults live their lives. Claims by prominent prelates, directly attributed to popes, on matters of vast pastoral and social importance, cannot be ignored.

I see basically only two ways this can go.

Either the pope did not say what Kasper claims he said, whereupon the cardinal should immediately retract his words, or the pope really did tell Kasper that half of all marriages (let’s just say half of all Catholic marriages, although the phrasing here embraces all marriages on earth) are invalid, whereupon the Church needs immediately to examine the truth of that claim. If, Deus vetet, half of all Catholic marriages really are invalid we are facing an unprecedented sacramental, social, and pastoral catastrophe that demands emergency action.

I’m serious: suppose we awoke to find half of all Catholic baptisms invalid, or half of all Masses, or half of all ordinations, or half of all Confessions, would not virtually everything else in the Church come to a screeching halt until the cause of such stunning invalidity were identified, rooted out, and repaired? Of course! But by the same token, how can the possibility—one being openly attributed to the highest level in the Church—that half of all Catholic marriages are invalid not call for an equally urgent immediate ecclesiastical response? We simply have to know whether the pope (a) is really alerting us to impending disaster, or (b) was just spit-balling ideas with an old colleague (and is now steaming mad at him for broadcasting his idle remarks to the world), or (c) said absolutely nothing of the kind. Precisely because all three scenarios are possible, Fr. Lombardi has to seek a clarification from the Holy See. And, yes, I sympathize with his reluctance to do so.

To be clear, I see no evidence that half of the world’s marriages (or even half of all Catholic marriages) are invalid, but I am certainly open to examining whatever evidence the pope (perhaps) and Cdl. Kasper (at least) might have to support this astounding claim. Indeed such an investigation would be of the highest priority for many in the Church.

But, as I say, first we need to know whether the claim was really made by the one to whom it is attributed. + + +

Follow-up: A reader kindly sends a link to this interview given by Pope Francis last year, in which the pope attributes to his predecessor in Buenos Aires, Cdl. Quarracino, the view that half of all (presumably, Catholic) marriages are null. A couple of observations: first, the pope did not, at that time, expressly claim that view as his own; and second, Cdl. Kasper does attribute that view to the pope himself as garnered in direct conversation with him. So, as I said above, we really need to know whether the pope himself really thinks half of all (Catholic) marriages are null.

“This enters in one ear and goes out the other.” – Pope Francis on reports of heresy
Two big stories in the news this week.

First, the Vatican has issued yet another warning to the LCWR, an umbrella group riddled with dissent and heresy that represents about 80 percent of American nuns.

Second, Cardinal Walter Kasper has brushed off the warning and assured the nuns they have no reason to worry. “I am also considered suspect!” he laughed. More interesting is this reported exchange between Cardinal Kasper and Pope Francis:

Kasper is in the U.S. to discuss his book, “Mercy: The Essence of the Gospel and the Key to Christian Life.” It includes a blurb from Pope Francis, who has made mercy a cornerstone of his ministry since he was elected last year.

On Monday, Kasper told the audience that after Francis praised him by name just days after his election, “an old cardinal came to him and said, ‘Holy Father, you cannot do this! There are heresies in this book!’ ”

As Francis recounted the story to Kasper, he said, the pope smiled and added: “This enters in one ear and goes out the other.”

This shouldn’t surprise anyone. You might recall the pope’s famous magazine interview last September:

“It is amazing to see the denunciations for lack of orthodoxy that come to Rome. I think the cases should be investigated by the local bishops’ conferences, which can get valuable assistance from Rome. These cases, in fact, are much better dealt with locally.”

Yes Padraig...dangerous times indeed. I sence Satans evil presence ever so close. We are like campers around the fire of the Eucharist, Our Lady, St Michael and the Saints. We sence a evil animal encircling our camp. I've noticed just this month a keen sence of evil encircling my life...Satan is now being bold and aggressive. Everyone should pray and be watchful. Do not fall asleep in this hour unless one be carried away. Pray and Trust in God. God will not abandon us to evil.

"“I ask you, therefore, to pray intensely to the Holy Spirit, so that the Spirit may illumine the Synodal Fathers and guide them in their important task,” the Pope requested of families in his Feb. 25 letter, adding that “your prayer for the Synod of Bishops will be a precious treasure which enriches the Church.”

    Our Lord:
...So many of My children close to My Church for appearance’s sake… They make Me suffer more.

So many wrong interpretations of what is not meant to be interpreted but obeyed… makes Me suffer more.

How many denigrate My Church!… And make Me suffer more.

How many will flog Her until She is divided…! That makes Me suffer.

MY CHURCH WILL TRIUMPH, IN THE END IT WILL TRIUMPH; BEFORE THAT THERE WILL BE DIVISION AND THEY WILL MAKE ME SUFFER, FOR MY GREATEST ENEMIES WILL BE WITHIN HER. A separation will be necessary so that you see the evil in your conscience and at the same time, the good you must follow and do.

I call My People to be firm and to not separate, the trials come from men and from the evil that has seized souls, giving them a God that is not I, who will please them with the lowest bestialities. ....

We really shouldn't be afraid. Fatima's quote here plus Jesus' assurance that the gates of hell will not prevail should give us peace. But the devil doesn't want us to be peaceful so he tries to worry us with what might happen. I think some participants of this forum are worried that their own understandings of their faith might need to change. But as long as we remain faithful to the Church we should have no fear of change. Trust the Pope and the Church and be a little distrustful of our own long held 'understandings' which might well need to change.

That's it in a nutshell the first part of the Third Secret the Fall of the Citadel (the Vatican) has come to pass with schism entrain.

The Second Part of the Secret involving Russia and the use of Nuclear weaponary which St John Paul 2 revealed at Fulda to follow:

    http://www.fatima.org/thirdsecret/fulda.asp

    Published Testimony:
    Pope John Paul II
    in Fulda, Germany (1980)

The October 1981 issue of the German magazine Stimme des Glaubens reported on a discussion that Pope John Paul II had with a select group of German Catholics, in November of 1980. The following is a verbatim report of the discussion:1

    Text of the Published Report

The Holy Father was asked, "What about the Third Secret of Fatima? Should it not have already been published by 1960?"

Pope John Paul II replied: "Given the seriousness of the contents, my predecessors in the Petrine office diplomatically preferred to postpone publication so as not to encourage the world power of Communism to make certain moves.

"On the other hand, it should be sufficient for all Christians to know this: if there is a message in which it is written that the oceans will flood whole areas of the earth, and that from one moment to the next millions of people will perish, truly the publication of such a message is no longer something to be so much desired."

The Pope continued: "Many wish to know simply from curiosity and a taste for the sensational, but they forget that knowledge also implies responsibility. They only seek the satisfaction of their curiosity, and that is dangerous if at the same time they are not disposed to do something, and if they are convinced that it is impossible to do anything against evil."

At this point the Pope grasped a Rosary and said: "Here is the remedy against this evil. Pray, pray, and ask for nothing more. Leave everything else to the Mother of God."

The Holy Father was then asked: "What is going to happen to the Church?"

He answered: "We must prepare ourselves to suffer great trials before long, such as will demand of us a disposition to give up even life, and a total dedication to Christ and for Christ … With your and my prayer it is possible to mitigate this tribulation, but it is no longer possible to avert it, because only thus can the Church be effectively renewed. How many times has the renewal of the Church sprung from blood! This time, too, it will not be otherwise. We must be strong and prepared, and trust in Christ and His Mother, and be very, very assiduous in praying the Rosary."

    What it Means

When Pope John Paul II spoke at Fulda, he had not yet been the victim of the 1981 assassination attempt. Speaking of the Third Secret of Fatima, he did not allude to anything resembling a future assassination attempt (which in 2000 the Vatican announced to be the subject of the final part of the Secret that Our Lady revealed at Fatima in 1917), but rather to imminent chastisement and worldwide tribulation.

The Holy Father implied that evil is the force behind the elements contained in the Third Secret. The themes alluded to here by the Holy Father are consistent with those considered by leading Fatima experts to be the substance of the real Third Secret of Fatima, and are discussed in detail in the article "The Real Third Secret".

    Notes:

    1. This report was originally published in German in the October 1981 issue of Stimme des Glaubens. It is given as a verbatim report of the meeting between His Holiness John Paul II and a select group of German Catholics at Fulda during his visit to Germany the previous November. The preface to the article states, "We know the name of the reporter and also that the document is authentic." This translation was made by Rev. M. Crowdy for Approaches Magazine, edited by Mr. Hamish Fraser of Scotland. It was translated from the Italian magazine published in Rome by Father Francis Putti. Both magazines are worthy of our trust.

Here is what I cannot get out of my mind the past few weeks. Now when you read this, I am not saying it relates to Pope Francis, but I do believe Father Malachi Martin not only read the actual 3rd secret of Fatima, he surely knew from it that a bad pope was part of the secret. Interview as follows:

Satan Will Gain Power in the Highest Echelons of the Church
Another part of the spiritual chastisement that he often mentioned was: “Satan would gain power even in the highest echelons of the Church.” The strongest statement of this kind came from a caller on the Art Bell show, who said an old Jesuit had told him, “The last Pope will be under the control of Satan.” Father Martin responded that this man “would have had a means of reading or would have been given the contents of the Secret. And yet, he said, the quotation was imprecise. That is because no one was allowed to quote the Secret exactly.

But even if “The last Pope will be under the control of Satan” were the exact quote, Father Martin had at other times ualified two prime components of that sentence. “The last Pope,” he said, did not necessarily mean the last Pope before the end of time, but the last Pope of “these times.” Could that mean the last Pope before the Consecration of Russia? And then the expression “under the control of Satan” can have various meanings.

Father Martin used to explain when talking about demonic activity and exorcism that there are several ways Satan can control a human being. He can possess the person, either partially or perfectly, the person could have “sold his soul to the devil” in return for some favor, or Satan could so thoroughly control the people and circumstances surrounding the person that he can get nothing done that is contrary to the will of Satan. Pope Benedict’s lament to several visitors to his papal office, that “my authority ends right at that door!” makes one wonder how close the Church has already come to that scenario.

We can see that the spiritual chastisement has already been building up since 1960. Eventually this deficit in faith and virtue will be the backdrop for not just one, but several physical chastisements. This terrible punishment “... will not come without warning,” he said, “but … only those already renewed in heart – and that would probably be a minority – will recognize it for what it is and make preparations for the tribulations that will follow.”

I read and as I ponder what this could mean, Father Martin's other statement to Art Bell on the timing of the 3rd secret he said, "It is not 200 years away, it is not 50 years away, it is not 20 years away". Father Malachi said this in 1997. He died in 1999. I can only conclude that we are in for a real scandalous, confusing, evil, time in the very very near future.

No, thank you padraig! Pride, I was feeling left out and complained of it a few minutes ago. What does Our
Lady call it in the messages. Do not be so "touchy."

MM said..."It is not 200 years away, it is not 50 years away, it is not 20 years away". Father Malachi said this in 1997.

He said all events would be over regarding what is contained in the 3rd secret, Anything else? This means it will all play out and be over by 2016 at the latest! if his testimony is true.

Does this mean there are dates foretelling what is to come in the 3rd secret? Or was this just his personal opinion?

I have always been a little suspicious of actual dates in prophecy. What it may have been is a numerical indication such as, ....;after such and such a number of Popes such and such will happen..'

You get this in the genealogy of Christ, in scripture, I think which has such a strict numeriological division.
