I know the "yes" crowd looks at the rainbow through their lense and what it has come to mean, but they don't understand the biblical meaning. I actually do think it is a sign from God- a reminder of his covenant with man and a reminder that he punished the whole world at the time of Noah for their rejection of God and in fact for their sexual perversion. The rainbow should remind us that God once punished the world for its sinfulness and remind us that our covenants are not man made like this ridiculous law passed today, but God-made. I think the rainbow today (if real and not photoshopped) is a warning. Peace
My heart goes out to the good people of Ireland. Such a sad day for your country. I remember the pit in my stomach when my state of Massachusetts became the first state to legalize it and got the ball rolling here in the US to spread from state to state. It was the first anniversary I believe and the govenor Deval Patrick (a mini obama and one of his buds) said at a rally...(paraphrasing here) well, same sex marriage has been legal here and the earth has not opened up and swallowed us whole. I just remember upon hearing that thinking...well, the Medjugore secrets have not started yet. Out of the US, I believe Massachusetts will be one of the hardest hit states in the storm. God will not be mocked. But I am so saddened with Ireland...such Catholic roots...wow...what else can you say but pray, pray, pray.
I had not thought of it in that way Mike. I was actually hoping God would send some sign today like the lightning strike at the Vatican when Benedict stepped down. Just something to give people pause. Maybe He did or it could be a photoshop.

Eventually we are told that Our Lady in Garabandal did not look so much sad as resigned to the fate of the many. Potatsack, I avoid MSM but this general defence of "we have had divorce for x years and the sky hasn't fallen in / the earth hasn't collaspse or stopped spinning..." seems to be often repeated. Is that what the general populace are doing - testing God's limits? Seeing how much they can get away with before the sky does fall in on us all?
It has been said 'love your neighbor but hate their sin' Indeed. If you want to win a soul or two you must do likewise. This will be difficult but it is the mark of God and thus to the contrary the actions of the beast i.e. Those that cause violence in the name of Jesus. 'Put down your sword Peter' left up your hearts to your heavenly Father and give Him thanks for the many here and there that are holding on to these most august of principles. I was saying to my husband we are really now like the first Christians in ancient Rome where anything was ok. The Christians did not fight politically and guess what, we can't anymore either. We have to live like those early Christians by living upright lives in the midst of what our society has become. That is how the West was won for Christianity. Yes, we will also have to stand up when asked to like the early Christians. But do not give up hope- love wins and the Holy Spirit will prevail. It may not look like that and watching our families be torn apart in this culture is gut wrenching but we need to stay in faith and keep praying and sacrificing. We are the life boats- the boat is sinking!
