I would keep praying for her since that seems to be the right approach unless you find out otherwise.

Valentina makes frequent mention of Communion in the hand and the unnecessary use of lay ministers. Maria Simma, who claimed frequent contact with the Holy Souls, had the same mind. Since reading her book, 'Get us Out of Here', I have received only from a priest and on the tongue. When you consider that it was the notorious Cardinal Bernadin who pushed for Communion in the hand in the US, it seems clear that this innovation was not of God. Anyway, it was supposed to be limited to those countries where this way of receiving was 'customary'. It was never customary in the US or most of Europe and so, in my view, those who do it or permit it are disobeying the limited permission given for its use (though for most laypeople of course, in ignorance of the facts).

I know of one man who approaches the Sacrament in bare feet, he is regularly asked why by people who notice and says that it is so that people will ask him and then he can tell them not to receive in the hand or from laypeople and as a sign to the priests (who sometimes 'roll their eyes' if they notice). Whether his enquirers take any notice or not, I don't know.

Wasn't it Maria Simma who said she saw souls in purgatory with burning hands and that they were the souls of E. lay ministers?

I do recall that she said that some family members who had not seen the body, asked for the coffin of a Eucharistic Minister to be opened and those present were horrified to see a perfect body but with black and rotting hands.
