Yes it is Cub and anyone who can not see this I have come to believe is blinded intentionally to the evil that has taken hold here in America especially. We have a brazen secret dualistic government making decisions for the fate of the world while corporations enslave other nations and preach of all the good they are doing for the poor and downtrodden people. Creating a permanent underclass in the US and the entire world which has little hope a better life.

Our people have abandoned themselves to their own passions and vice, for rulers who care nothing for anyone who does not support their vision of enlightenment serving satan. God will not stand for this simply because although there are many who delude themselves believing that the Blessed Mother was just another woman and kid themselves thinking that the Eucharist is simply a wafer of bread it will soon become evident who many serve.

I have told several people of what is coming and the reaction I receive is nonchalance and a look as if I am crazy. People simply do not want to see what the Lord is showing us.

My church recently had the traveling Pilgrim statue of Our Lady of Fatima and I was surprised by how few people came to venerate it and the message of love and hope Our Lady of Fatima has given us. All we can do it seems is pray. For mercy and for our Lords wisdom when these things befall our country and the world because they are and will continue until men are cursing God for them. Time is indeed short. Prepare wisely!

Thank you for those links Cub. Amazing information.

Don_D The Pilgrim statue will be in our Diocese on Oct 8th and we all plan to go. It is a Sunday so maybe the turnout will be a little higher. I have been looking forward to it for some time.

I have been reading up on the prophecies but am a rank amateur compared to others on the forum  . But I have been "feeling" that something was coming for quite a few years now.

Several years ago, we were sitting in our pastor's office and after our meeting were just talking casually. At one point he got up and shut his door. He started to talk to my husband and I about The Warning and the Chastisement and the signs of the times. He made sure we knew about it and what things to have and what to look for. He said he felt it was "soon". I have since wondered why he felt drawn to tell us that. He has not told everyone in the parish as I have asked around to a few friends and not a peep about it. I thought it was interesting and, of course, I began my research on prophecy, signs, end times and such. This priest is a good and holy priest and is quite orthodox and so I feel we can trust his words. He is a really good priest.

I have read a lot on this forum and so have gleaned a lot of wonderful information. I think I have come to this prophecy thing late in the game....LOL..... but feel at peace about it. In the end, I pray and trust in Our Lord that he will get us through this, whatever transpires.

Wow, what a great Priest Tanker.

Nobody is an expert on these things but God. Really, all that we can do is trust in Our Lord, Our Blessed Mother and stay in the grace of Christ. Each day is a battle that we must take up anew and fight as if our souls depend on it. I take much comfort in the words of our Lord. His yoke truly is light.

Sparrow that is the Feast of the Qeenship of Mary and my lovely and holy aunt's entry into eternal life that day. She raised six children and a lot of the neighbors kids too and she died a very Holy death. I am asking her to intercede for your daughter and her baby and of course first and foremost Our Blessed Mother. I will put you on my list. Sparrow I don't pay too much attention to the things that bring worry. We keep our eyes on Jesus and make acts of faith and trust. I have learned to do this finally after anxiously reading such things. Only Jesus can fix this. And He will. "Safe in the arms of Our Lady"

Monday of the Sixteenth Week in Ordinary Time
    Reading 1 Ex 14:5-18
When it was reported to the king of Egypt
    that the people had fled,
Pharaoh and his servants changed their minds about them.
They exclaimed, "What have we done!
Why, we have released Israel from our service!"
So Pharaoh made his chariots ready and mustered his soldiersB
    six hundred first-class chariots
and all the other chariots of Egypt, with warriors on them all.
So obstinate had the LORD made Pharaoh
that he pursued the children of Israel
even while they were marching away in triumph.
    The Egyptians, then, pursued them;
Pharaoh's whole army, his horses, chariots and charioteers,
caught up with them as they lay encamped by the sea,
at Pi-hahiroth, in front of Baal-zephon.

Pharaoh was already near when the children of Israel looked up
and saw that the Egyptians were on the march in pursuit of them.
In great fright they cried out to the LORD.
    And they complained to Moses,
"Were there no burial places in Egypt
that you had to bring us out here to die in the desert?
Why did you do this to us?
Why did you bring us out of Egypt?
Did we not tell you this in Egypt, when we said,
'Leave us alone. Let us serve the Egyptians'?
Far better for us to be the slaves of the Egyptians
than to die in the desert."
    But Moses answered the people,
    "Fear not! Stand your ground,
and you will see the victory the LORD will win for you today.
These Egyptians whom you see today you will never see again.
The LORD himself will fight for you; you have only to keep still."

Then the LORD said to Moses, "Why are you crying out to me?
Tell the children of Israel to go forward.
And you, lift up your staff and, with hand outstretched over the sea,
    split the sea in two,
that the children of Israel may pass through it on dry land.
But I will make the Egyptians so obstinate
that they will go in after them.
Then I will receive glory through Pharaoh and all his army,
    his chariots and charioteers.
The Egyptians shall know that I am the LORD,
when I receive glory through Pharaoh
    and his chariots and charioteers."
    Responsorial Psalm Ex 15:1bc-2, 3-4, 5-6
    R. (1b) Let us sing to the Lord; he has covered himself in glory.
    I will sing to the LORD, for he is gloriously triumphant;
horse and chariot he has cast into the sea.
My strength and my courage is the LORD,
and he has been my savior.
    He is my God, I praise him;
the God of my father, I extol him.
    R. Let us sing to the Lord; he has covered himself in glory.
    The LORD is a warrior,
    LORD is his name!
    Pharaoh's chariots and army he hurled into the sea;
the elite of his officers were submerged in the Red Sea.
    R. Let us sing to the Lord; he has covered himself in glory.
    The flood waters covered them,
they sank into the depths like a stone.
Your right hand, O LORD, magnificent in power,
your right hand, O LORD, has shattered the enemy.
    R. Let us sing to the Lord; he has covered himself in glory.
    Alleluia Ps 95:8
    R. Alleluia, alleluia.
If today you hear his voice,
    harden not your hearts.
    R. Alleluia, alleluia.

    Gospel Mt 12:38-42
Some of the scribes and Pharisees said to Jesus,
"Teacher, we wish to see a sign from you."
He said to them in reply,
"An evil and unfaithful generation seeks a sign,
but no sign will be given it
except the sign of Jonah the prophet.
Just as Jonah was in the belly of the whale three days and three nights,
so will the Son of Man be in the heart of the earth
    three days and three nights.
At the judgment, the men of Nineveh will arise with this generation
    and condemn it, because they repented at the preaching of Jonah;
and there is something greater than Jonah here.
At the judgment the queen of the south will arise with this generation
and condemn it, because she came from the ends of the earth
    to hear the wisdom of Solomon;
and there is something greater than Solomon here."

NASA: Two Hour Solar Eclipse This August Will Plunge US Into Darkness

    July 25, 2017 Sean Adl-Tabatabai

NASA has announced that for the first time in 99 years, a total solar eclipse will occur across the entire continental United States.

On Aug. 21, for over almost two hours, American citizens will experience complete darkness in the middle of the day.

Ntxe-news.com reports: Viewers around the world will be provided a wealth of images captured before, during, and after the eclipse by 11 spacecraft, at least three NASA aircraft, more than 50 high-altitude balloons, and the astronauts aboard the International Space Station – each offering a unique vantage point for the celestial event.

NASA Television will air a multi-hour show, Eclipse Across America: Through the Eyes of NASA, with unprecedented live video of the celestial event, along with coverage of activities in parks, libraries, stadiums, festivals and museums across the nation, and on social media.

Coast to coast, from Oregon to South Carolina, 14 states will – over a span of almost two hours – experience more than two minutes of darkness in the middle of the day. When the moon completely blocks the sun, day will turn into night and make visible the otherwise hidden solar corona, the sun’s atmosphere. Bright stars and planets also will become visible. Using specialized solar viewing glasses or other equipment, all of North America will be able to view at least a partial eclipse lasting two to four hours.

“Never before will a celestial event be viewed by so many and explored from so many vantage points – from space, from the air, and from the ground,” said Thomas Zurbuchen, associate administrator of NASA’s Science Mission Directorate in Washington. “With our fellow agencies and a host of scientific organizations, NASA will continue to amplify one key message: Take time to experience the Aug. 21 eclipse, but experience it safely.”

    Viewing safety

The only safe way to look directly at the uneclipsed or partially eclipsed sun is through special-purpose solar filters, such as eclipse glasses or handheld solar viewers. Homemade filters or ordinary sunglasses, even very dark ones, are not safe for looking at the sun. In the 70-mile-wide swath of the country that will experience a total eclipse, it’s safe to look at the total eclipse with your naked eyes only during the brief period of totality, which will last about two minutes, depending on your location.

An alternative method for safe viewing of the partially-eclipsed sun is with a pinhole projector. With this method, sunlight streams through a small hole – such as a pencil hole in a piece of paper, or even the space between your fingers – onto a makeshift screen, such as a piece of paper or the ground. It’s important to watch the screen, not the sun.

NASA and other agencies will provide vital information and updates on their respective websites that include viewing safety, activities across the country including at national parks, in addition to transportation preparations.

    Studying our Sun

Many researchers and citizen scientists will take advantage of this unique opportunity to study our sun, solar system, and Earth under rare circumstances. The sudden blocking of the sun during an eclipse reduces the light and changes the temperature on the ground, creating conditions that can affect local weather and animal behavior.

Understanding the sun has always been a top priority for space scientists. These scientists study how the sun affects space and the space environment of planets – a field known as heliophysics. As a source of light and heat for life on Earth, scientists want to understand how our sun works, why it changes, and how these changes influence life on Earth. The sun’s constant stream of solar material and radiation can impact spacecraft, communications systems, and orbiting astronauts.

“Eclipse 2017 provides an incredible opportunity to engage the entire nation and the world, inspiring learners of all ages who have looked to the sky with curiosity and wonder,” said Steven Clarke, director of NASA’s Heliophysics Division in Washington.

NASA spacecraft capturing the event include: NASA’s Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter, which will turn toward Earth to track the shadow of the moon on our planet; a host of Earth-observing spacecraft, which can both observe the shadow of the moon and measure how it affects Earth’s weather; and a fleet of solar observing spacecraft. NASA images and data of the eclipse will complement that collected by other scientific organizations.

To watch the Aug. 21 NASA TV eclipse broadcast online and access interactive web content and views of the eclipse from more than 60 telescopes, aircraft and balloons, visit: https://www.nasa.gov/eclipselive

Get Ready! The Brightest Meteor Shower In The Recorded Human History Is Happening

There is going to be a meteor shower on 12th of August, 2017. According to astronomers this will be the brightest shower in the recorded human history. It will light up the night sky and some of these might even be visible during the day. This meteor shower is being considered as once in a lifetime opportunity as the next meteor shower of such kind will be after 96 years.

The Perseid meteor shower, one of the brighter meteor showers of the year, occurs every year between July 17 and August 24. The shower tends to peak around August 9-13.
Greenwich’s Astronomy Photographer of the Year 2013 David Kingham combined 23 individual stills over several hours to depict a Perseid meteor shower. DAVID KINGHAM (THE NATIONAL MARITIME MUSEUM ROYAL OBSERVATORY) / PNG

The best time to view the Perseids, and most other meteor showers, is when the sky is the darkest. Most astronomers suggest that depending on the Moon’s phase, the best time to view meteor showers is right before dawn.
The Perseids can be seen in the Northern Hemisphere. Look between the radiant, which will be in the north-east part of the sky, and the zenith (the point in the sky directly above you).

While you can easily see a shooting star with the naked eye just looking straight up, the table below shows the exact direction of the Perseids from your location.

I was deep in them all week last week and saw very few of them. The stars were quite beautiful however, a few weeks ago here at home I saw a bunch, some that were very bright as well as what looked like flashes of light too. My wife came out and we watched for a few hours there were so many. We counted 8 flashes. Some looked like small explosions or something. No idea what they were.

In August, watch this meteor shower named for a saint
    http://www.angelusnews.com/articles/in-august-watch-this-meteor-shower-named-for-a-saint

Star-gazing might not be the first thing that comes to mind when Catholics think of St. Lawrence, the early Christian martyr who was cooked to death by the Romans on an outdoor grill. But every August, Catholics have the chance to see a meteor shower named in his honor.

The Perseids meteor shower, also called the “tears of St. Lawrence,” is a meteor shower associated with the comet Swift-Tuttle, which drops dust and debris in Earth’s orbit on its 133-year trip around the Sun. (The comet poses no immediate threat to Earth, at least not for several thousand years.)

As Earth orbits the Sun, it hits pieces of left-behind debris from the comet, causing them to burn up in Earth’s atmosphere. This creates a prolific meteor shower that can best be seen in the Northern Hemisphere from late July to early August, usually peaking around Aug. 10, the feast of St. Lawrence.

During it’s peak, the rate of meteors reaches 60 or more per hour. The name “Perseids” comes from the constellation Perseus, named for a character in Greek mythology, and the radiant of the shower or the point from which it appears to originate. The name “tears of St. Lawrence” came from the association with his feast day and from the legends that built up around the Saint after his death.

Saint Lawrence was martyred on Aug. 10, 258 during the persecution of the emperor Valerian along with many other members of the Roman clergy. He was the last of the seven deacons of Rome to die. After the pope, Sixtus II, was martyred on Aug. 6, Lawrence became the principal authority of the Roman Church, having been the Church's treasurer.

When he was summoned before the executioners, Lawrence was ordered to bring all the wealth of the Church with him. He showed up with a handful of crippled, poor, and sick men, and when questioned, replied that "These are the true wealth of the Church." He was immediately sent to his death, being cooked alive on a gridiron. Legend has it that one of his last words was a joke about his method of execution, as he quipped to his killers: “Turn me over, I’m done on this side!”

Catholics began calling the meteors the “tears of St. Lawrence,” even though the celestial phenomenon pre-dates the saint. Some Italian lore also holds that the fiery bits of debris seen during a meteor shower are representative of the coals that killed St. Lawrence, and some traditions hold it that if one waters a basil plant and sets it out on the night of the meteor shower, they will find coal chips underneath the plant next day from St. Lawrence’s tears.

Anyone in the Northern Hemisphere should be able to view the “tears of St. Lawrence” best after midnight on Aug. 11-12 this year. The meteors will shower from various points in the sky rather than from one particular direction. For the best viewing, it is recommended to go to a rural area away from light pollution.
