Hi SadiK, Sorry, I think this is the right page now: http://www.facebook.com/?email_confirmed=1 I believe login is enabled.
You still gave the wrong link. Let me explain. What you need to do is 1. Go to http://www.facebook.com/pages/create.php 2. Fill it out and once you complete, you would have created a Facebook Page. 3. Once done, let me have the link to that Page And Login with Facebook has been enabled. Hmmm, this can be possible if we have a separate Article Category within the forums. Now since All articles are posted in all various forum threads, it's not possible to automatically create an index. That is possible but meaningless in current times because those can always be get artificially inflated by visiting "bots" (search engine and other programs which browse sites to index etc). I understand the point though and maybe I can do something better... Yes, will do. Actually the software we have chosen is very secure with all sorts of Anti-Spam, flood protection etc. programmed into it. So I would say the chances of getting hacked are not very high. One thing the staff (Admins and Mods) should ensure is that they use secure passwords and not share their passwords with others. If traffic becomes very very high, you might need to change the web host or go for a hosting package which provides more resources (RAM, processor) to the site. However I think this hosting which you have would be just fine if the traffic was to increase by ten times what it is currently. Yes, will do. Yes, will do. And I have implemented Dan's suggestion of having user titles reflect their experience on the forum. So when people register they are shown as "New Member". When they reach 10 Trophy Points, they get the title "Messenger". At 30 Points, they get the title "Angel" and at 75 Points, they get the status "Arch Angel". Oh and Btw, the Youtube links issue has been resolved. Regards
Sadik, So good to have you with us! Your effort is very much appreciated. May Mary wrap you in her mantle of maternal love and intercession! Safe in the Hearts of Jesus and Mary!
Sadik, what a gift you are to us! Thank you so much for your diligent work. May God's graces will pour out on you for all that you are doing.
Sadik You have done a wonderful job. This looks really good. Thank you so much for all your effort and may God bless you and reward you. Mary
Sadik, I just wanted to thank you publicly for your generosity and professional excellence. I can see why Jim P raves about you and promotes your talents. Excellent work!
Thank you Padraig, Daniel and Sadik for a wonderful new look and feel for our forum. Our Blessed Mother is smiling indeed!!
Well I must admit I did little but stand by and watch. I have thanked Sadik and I thank him again. But really I must also thank Daniel without whom none of this would ever have taken place; for instance in recommending Sadik and being so positive even when the site disappeared. But most of all my main thanks to Fr James Alberione whom I am sure will stick around the forum for the years to come...
It was a little like Padraig had car trouble and I knew the best mechanic in town (Sadik). Sometimes I knew what Padraig called a "doohickey" or "thing-a-mabob" under the hood was the catalytic converter. In the strange coincidence department, I thought I would drop by the Alba House Book Store run by the SSP (founded by Fr James Alberione) and relay the story of his help. Not only were they thrilled to hear about it, but their superior general from Italy is arriving from the airport today and they want to tell him the good news as well. It also turned out that the obscure town on the Texas/Oklahoma border I had business in a couple of weeks ago was the hometown of the SSP brother I talked too. Maybe we can answer Padraig's prayer for a priest from the SSP to join the forum as well through Fr James' intercession... Anyway, Fr James Alberione wrote a lot of material over the years and the review of all of his works is slowing his process for sainthood down a bit. They also require 1 more documented miracle for his cause, so please remember his powerful patronage in spreading the gospel through modern means.
He must have been wonderful when he was alive. He reminds me heaven need not be a rest home. a real apostle, in life and in Eternal life. I believe he will stick around and perhaps indeed lend us one of his sons or daughters to guide us.
Hi, Just to let you all know Sadik is nearly finished and the transfer, upgrade is complete. I am no IT expert but traffic to the site seems to be increasing rapidly with a lot of new members coming from nowhere. Please make them as welcome as you have always done so well in the past. Please also remember Sadik and his family in you prayers.
One of the new features is the ability to "Watch" forums. For example, I like to receive an email when a new prayer request goes out. That way when I am standing in a compressor room in Buzzard's Breath, Wyoming or somewhere I can say a quick Hail Mary and get my guardian angel on the case. To do this, click on the "Watched Forums" button from any page. Select the forum you wish to follow such as "Prayer Requests" and click the "Watch Forum" button. A pop-up screen will ask if you want to be notified by email on new threads. My question to the community would be should we also have a "Urgent Prayer" category for alerts/emails separate from the "Prayer Requests" that are important but not necessarily right away (e.g. pray for my son taking the CPA exam next week, pray that we find a proper house, etc...)?
